Khalid snatched the pillow back away, just as fast. "So if you 'died inside,' how come you're all right now?" He asked, sounding a bit on the annoyed side. Then his voice softened slightly. "Did it have something to do with Ryou?"

Kira let out a sad sigh and grabed one of the many pillows on the bed covering her head back up.Pegasus seemed to always bring her more pillows.

"So it did, hm?" Khalid asked, still in his soft voice. "Well, I apologize for bringing it up." This was said in an automatic tone, and he growled in a low voice after that. A sound was suddenly heard, where he whipped around abruptly and punched the wall. There was a sharp crack that told them that his knuckle-- maybe more than one-- had been broken.

Kira jumped up falling off the bed.that had scared her "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT FOR!?!"

Khalid turned and calmly helped Kira back onto the bed. He winced when he had to use his left hand, which he had punched with, but didn't make any sound of harm. "I feel as though I'm failing. I have fallen back into the state of a mortal, in a relationship. Ryou died when I was supposed to be watching him, Bakura got a hold of you, and I can sense that Atem has been acting odd since Bakura gave him that memory. So I need some way both to take out my anger and punish myself, since nobody else is doing so."

Kira just sighed "Oh I failed at life too so dont worry...and hurting yourself wont help anything or I'd be doing it.."

"No. You were devoted to Ryou. You were the one who came closest to saving him. Remember how I first decided to introduce myself to you? I took Ryou away from Bakura so that a little less harm would come to the boy. It was one of Shadi's assignments to see if I could pass and take up the position I have now. Ishizu was another one, to see if I could have feelings for another, then cut them off. My assignment for proctecting Ryou never was supposed to end, since I haven't been able to find Shadi, and I failed that twice. Twice the boy had died under my 'care.' And although I have the position now, I continue to be in a relationship with Ishizu. I had 'broken up' with her before--" Khalid didn't really like to use such a modern term, but it was needed at the moment, "-- and now I feel as though our relationship is slipping. So I've been thinking..." He paused, taking in a deep breath, and letting it out in a sigh. "What if I was fated to never be able to complete my 'missions'? I failed Ryou twice, and I believe that I'm soon to fail with Ishizu again. And-- dammit, I don't even know what I'm saying."

Kira sighed "I guess the whole lot of us just wernt ment to be happy.." she said laying down and covering her head with a pillow once more "things will work out I guess..."

"Teh. Bakura keeps changing my mind of who I should and shouldn't like. Maybe it would be best if I just gave it all up and allowed him to do as he wanted..." Khalid's voice was thick with emotion, and had taken on a sorrow that he had never shown before. The thing Kira couldn't see that made this mood of his so extreme was that his face was utterly calm. His eyes were bright, not glazed as though he was groggy or in a trance, and not a single shred of emotion showed.

"It might hold him off of the others for a while," Khalid pointed out with a small sigh. "I--I don't want to do anything to harm you Kira, but I wondered... Ryou once was able to come back because of his ties with Bakura. It's doubtful, but if I could be able to prehaps explore his mind... Oh, I'm not even sure of myself anymore."

"Heh..." Khalid was silent for a long moment before he snatched away Kira's latest pillow. "I'm going to go to the hospital now and see if Bakura's still there. Atem may have done some damage to him. Tell Ishizu I don't plan on being back, would you? Oh-- and here--" He moved over to Kira, focusing a large amount of energy in his palm. He trembled just with the effort. "I need to go to Bakura weakened-- He'd know it was some kind of trap if I was with my full power. He can make his own body, so I don't see why I can't try this out--" He placed his hand against Kira's forehead, right above where teh bandages she wore around her eyes were. The energy he held seeped into her, and he restored her vision. It took quite a lot out of him, making his Millennium Items useless. He panted as he took a step or so away, wincing since he had used his hurt hand.

Kira blinked as she could sudenly see the bed.Sitting up she looked around wide eyed.She seemed to be speachless.

"Yes, I do happen to be related to Jesus," Khalid snorted, oblivious to the pain in his hand for a moment as he raised them as though to ward off a hug. "No need to give thanks. I mean, being blinded for who knows how long couldn't be as bad as uttering even a single word of appreciation."
