Wow, man. I just got done bursting out laughing. Some of you guys can be pretty funny (obviously in inadvertent ways).
But this being the internet still doesn't mean that all of the s**t that was just posted for the last 10 pages wasn't still disgusting for the internet.
Really, that match between Ertai and Crawley didn't deserve that many pages, and doesn't even need to be judged by me because it's not even a tournament match. And some of you guys are lucky I'm such an easy-going person, because some "hosts" would be banning people for flaming and spamming left and right. There are a few people I've never even seen here before who just hop in and start posting mumbo-jumbo, trying to look smart and attempting to have a purpose in the situation, when you're just being an idiot. If you don't have anything to contribute, stay out of it, please. This thread's just been a mockery of what it was supposed to be for from the start.
Here's my take on the situation, from the tid-bits I've seen of the IC match, and from reading the OOC argument and seeing quoted posts here. Crawley, you could have been a little more detailed in some of your posts. While I know what you meant by "vertical fisted punches", it is worded kind of oddly, and it honestly seemed like Ertai--at first--actually thought you meant punches that were thrown straight up and down (or nearly so) with a clenched fist...instead of what you really meant. However, Ertai, I completely disagree with your whole "fill in the blanks" thing. It's okay in some situations, but at other times is just rediculous. If someone swings a sword at you and doesn't say what it's made out of, saying it's made out of a one-inch piece of paper is rediculous. You PM the person and ask them for the specs on their sword. It doesn't hurt to ask the person you're fighting what he or she means if you don't understand, and then allow the person to edit or something, instead of being difficult and refusing to communicate and cooperate. But, both of you guys, to certain extents, are just being stubborn with one another.
"Don't tell me you're trying to be cool."
You're both on extreme ends of the spectrum and can't settle on anything in between. I could go on, but that's really all I have to say right now. My decision is nix the match and shut up and start over, which you probably won't do and is always a sucky finality, or open your eyes and talk to one another.
I just got back from a day at my cabin and am winding down with a friend, who I've kept waiting from starting a movie to attend to this "dire" situation. If I have to, I'll come back and read into it further, then start checking out some of these matches and locking up the threads that have ended and such.
In the meantime, no further discussion on this topic should even continue, and further complaints can be PM'd to me till I get back.
It seems it's started to wind down for the night anyway, so sorry for the long post.
