"Well, there's not much to take. Their argument basically boils down to 'If you don't want pokémon to live with people then agree with us'. And I enjoy living with my pokémon, Katelyn likes them, Wayne likes them, the pokémon are happy. I don't really have a choice but to disagree with what Team Plasma want people to do."
The waiter finally came over, putting the glass down and then taking a few steps away but not looking in any other direction, transfixed.
"But I can't really fault them for wanting to make people more aware of the damaging effect mankind can have on the environment, and how it ends up hurting pokémon too. But it doesn't make them terrorists, I don't know where people are getting that from."
--
"As long as I'm not stuck alone with you, okay," Wayne said. If things looked bad then Hitmonlee would kick some a** to save him, right? Right? Or maybe that'd make things worse.
'I have a bad feeling about this...'

"I can't imagine what life without Pokemon would be like," Artemis said. "But I get what you mean. There are a lot of things we do that really can hurt pokemon.
"But separating Pokemon and humans completely would be nearly impossible," Artemis said. "They'd be better off fighting for Pokemon Rights."
((Eunmi missed the speech, I think, so her only impression is, "AHHH ******** WHY ARE YOU ATTACKING ME?"))

Kinda rude, this one. Avan didn't bother stifling his laughter this time around. Though it was just a chuckle. "You're not my type anyways." He said as he led the way to an area clear of Museum. Where ever that may of been. Avan liked clearings. So lets say it was clearing in the woods, because Avan didn't need any more gym leaders getting up his a** about public damage. Especially not this gym leader.
Upon arriving, assuming Wayne went with him, he'd walk to the opposite side and call out George and Baku.
"It's a double battle you guys. The gym is supposedly ran in this fashion." He told them, recalling what he had read in Nacrene Monthly, in the magazine section at the Library. "So work together, got that?"
The Tympole bounced in approval and the Munna let out a noise that sounded like "Hmph."

Set back by Ryan, Henrietta had lost her place. So she would start over. She had stretched before, and now she went about everything. Eunmi's shouting clear in her head, though the pace of numbers was likely messed up. Today she'd done extra stretching with her leg, for the kicks. Luckily, it seemed to help.
Frate and Melty, during this, had managed to increase the amount of opponents they could keep track of to three. Socant was happily hunting and Darumi was conversing.
Henrietta managed to make it through her work out. Aching and sweaty and dirty, she rubbed her arms. "Darumi?" she said and Darumi rolled over. "C-can you tell me when Emi is done training, please?" she asked and Darumi nodded.
"Thank you."
Darumi rolled off then, to watch Emi and Sal do their training.
Henrietta, meanwhile, decided to continue practicing her kicks. Not the full routine, sit ups and all, but just the kicks. Get them right, get them perfect.

((I wonder if we could have done Legends during Generation I. Like, other than the fact that we'd have all been like 10- around that time and Gaia hadn't existed and none of us would have met.
But if like, it was just Kanto, there were only 151 pokemon, and we had the same sort of idea of Legends (that it is badass). ))

((It was kinda like that for Richy, age-wise anyways. YO RICHY! How old were you when you joined Legends?!))
"Hitmonlee aaaand..." Wayne took out the fighter's ball and considered his next pokémon. Petilil was out and at his side, and she'd certainly have an advantage against Tympole due to typing, and not to mention home turf advantage; after all, the Petilil species populated Pinwheel Forest.
But then again, Solosis and Hitmonlee had trained for use in double battles. It'd be a good chance to practise their teamwork. Wayne nodded to himself as he made his final selection, "Solosis. Sorry, Petilil."
The bulb pokémon didn't seem to mind and took her position hiding behind her trainer's leg. Hitmonlee and Solosis manifested, the latter looking amazed that he'd been picked; like the kid who always got chosen last for team sports, he was temporarily in shock that he'd been picked second. Second!
[Or... next to last...] the psychic sighed, but quickly sucked it up when he saw Petilil watching. Damn that favourite b***h.
"Okay, so what is that thing?" Wayne muttered, taking out his pokédex to look over Tympole's data. "Ha, it looks so miserable. And is that a... oh cool, a Munna! I thought they were all dead!"
[Only mostly dead,] Hitmonlee said within Baku's earshot, [It appears that I didn't Earthquake the Dreamyard hard enough.]
--
"Maybe someone should tell them that," Elizabeth said through a laugh. "Wayne doesn't like Team Plasma. They managed to convince him to release his pokémon and... well, he regrets that."
The woman shook her head, trying to forget what happened when Wayne told Zack and her what he'd done. Given that one of Wayne's pokémon had once been one of Zack's, it hadn't exactly been a calm conversation.
"Hm, we should get going. You want to tell them they passed the inspection or shall I? But saying that, the latte was blah... I think I should ask for a refund."
In spite of not paying in the first place. And knowing Elizabeth, she'd probably get it too.

((I also think it would be sweet to have Legends from the beginning, before the internet was invented biggrin ))
As Wukong closed his mouth, his field of vision was completely cleared again. Just in time to see a massive wave of water heading his way. His eyes widened as he began to look up, and up, and up as the wave loomed over and threatened to crash down.
He gulped.
Wukong dashed away with Mach Speed, becoming less than a blur as he tried to run around D-Vee's flank and outrun the wave. As the Surf began to fall, water crashed behind the Monferno and began to get closer and closer to crashing on him.
Although he put up a valiant effort, Wukong could not outrun the Surf. At the end of the wave, the water fell down upon him, drenching him and toppling him over with massive force.
The Monferno struggled to get up, reigniting his tail fire as he panted and looked over to D-Vee. Just being able to stand after taking the super effective hit was a miracle enough. Wukong looked very damaged as he wiped the water off of his lips with the back of his hand. [Alright...not bad.]
He blinked out of vision and then popped back up right in front of D-Vee with his leg held high, zooming over so fast to D-Vee with a Blazing Axe Kick that his travel could not be seen by the untrained eye. His fiery leg descended down towards the Smeargle's skull with heavy force.
If he took another hit, he'd have to call it quits. It was time to get aggressive.
In the meantime, Salieri was also trying to figure out how Aqua Jet worked.
“I imagine that it’s like the pokemon will propel themselves forward with water. You know, kind of like a jet…of water….an Aqua…Jet.”
She shrugged. Eloquent explanations were not necessary here. The Battle Girl took a running leap forward and repositioned herself into a dive in midair, slipping into the water and swimming towards the bottom of the lake. Even though she had already been in the water today, her body took a moment to readjust to the coolness.

"Do your thing," Artemis waved, shaking her head. If she got half as much attention as Elizabeth did... no, she wouldn't like that. She stood up to follow Elizabeth to the counter.
"I guess we'll get more information about them tonight, as it is," Artemis said, sounding and looking less concerned than she actually was. If they could convince people to let go of their pokemon... they must have a really good point. That could be troublesome if they were going on live TV - at least, for her job.
* * * * *
[Thanks,] D-Vee managed before Wukong disappeared. D-Vee's hold on the water was gone after the wave hit Wukong, but his arms will still out. He could barely see the blur that was Wukong, but the flash of fire was something to be wary of.
He jumped forward, quick attack rolling over the watery patch that remained of his Surf attack. He skidded to a halt, tail in hand, prepped to paint another technique.
EDIT: Sorry, I forgot about the Sal/Eunmi bit.
Dali playful jumped in the water, zipping back and forth and then around each girl once in a circle. Being an otter, it was his natural habitat and Eunmi could tell immediately, given the choice, a water terrain would make Dali a lot faster in a battle.
"Dali, let's do what Sal said, okay?" Eunmi said. "Do laps, back and forth, work on propelling yourself as fast as you can."
The Oshawott paused, staring up at Eunmi before he sank below the surface of the water. A few bubbles appeared where he had been and then he popped up again.
"Oshaa," he nodded, then flipped away to give the girls space. Eunmi smirked, looking up at Salieri, her hands on her hips.
"I'm gonna win," Eunmi said through the apparatus before diving underwater.
Meanwhile, Mochi hopped around on the surface, neither near the water nor near D-Vee and Wukong's match. He was chasing after a leaf.

((I was 12 when I started Legends. biggrin And looking back at the start.... My writing was absolutely appalling. It lacked coherency, any sense of depth and the standard which I have since tried to keep. It's amazing what 5 years will do to your writing. So... I was technically underage for Gaia at the time, naughty me. Well, if we'd started Legends at the start then I would have been 4. biggrin I dread to think what I would have written like at that age, let alone what all the madness you guys come up with would have done to my innocent brain. I mean, you DID destroy my innocence at 12, but, eh, I can deal with that. XD))
Well, let's just say Luka and the gang had finished training for the morning. Luka had figured out a tactic to stop Tayla wasting the Protects. Kai would launch his Flame Charge, then go into Defense Curl which would force the flames inside so his front would become superheated. Tayla could then safely jump on Kai and ride him thereby gathering extra momentum to slam into opponents only launching a Protect if necessary. Kai could then unfurl and ram into his opponent with an ultra heated flame charge and everything would be sorted.
Either way, they were all just sitting by the lake, watching Salieri and Eunmi train in the water. It was quite an interesting sight and both girls were pretty cute, but, Salieri was much too hyperactive and Eunmi was, well, kinda dim.
Squirt decided he wanted to swim and leapt into the water where he just paddled around for a while, relaxing in the beautiful blue whilst the crazy girl threw herself in causing chaotic waves that would've disturbed any less relaxed swimmers.
((Y'know, I had a penchant for diverting calls back then too. Funny how that works. XD))

What's that? Avan wondered as he pulled out his Pokedex, holding it up towards the fighting type that that stood in front of them. Hitmonlee? He read its description and put the device away. Interesting...more foreigners? "Looks can be deceiving you know." Avan stated hardheartedly.
But then at their words. Ones that Avan understood and the other that the Munna understood. Baku glared at the opponents. Avan could see his anger rising. Was he joking around? Was he the real culprit? Were they after the wrong people? It didn't matter right now. Had to control the Munna. "Baku we'll discuss the later." Avan took a step back. "Calm yourself Baku." Lets hope he doesn't mind me starting this off.
"Supersonic".
And so just like that, the battle ignited. Baku glowed a faint red, calming himself down and raising stats. The Tympole screeched; the sound waves aimed for Hitmonlee.

Using his momentum from the missed axe kick, Wukong flipped himself over and landed in a handstand, now facing D-Vee upside down. Can't let him paint again!
He breathed out another advanced Heat Wave. The red laser beam blasted out at a 45 degree angle up at Smeargle's midsection from Wukong's upside down head.
Liuye noted Wukong's agressive yet strong offense, but also saw that his previous trainer didn't teach him any defensive techniques. He wondered if that would make the battle against Lenora difficult.
And Chen Zhen watched as Mochi chased a leaf. ...that looks kind of fun.
Now underwater, Salieri floated down to the bottom while watching Dali swim back and forth. Would it work? She had no clue, but she usually made things up when she trained anyway. For all she knew, this could be how Oshawott's learned this naturally anyway.
"Fighting underwater is kind of weird at first, but you can do lots of cool stuff," she told Eunmi while shifting into her cat stance. Through the scuba's speaker, her voice came out through a poor quality sound filter. Her hair floated all around her, staying behind her head while flowing freely.
"Ready?"

Eunmi found it a bit difficult to adjust to the underwater atmosphere. She tried to get to the bottom so her feet would touch, but she found herself constantly bobbing back up towards the surface anytime she inhaled. Eventually she figured it out and shifted her stance. Her hair clip hadn't sustained once she dove into the water and was lost forever now, her long hair a dark mass floating around.
"This is... weird." Eunmi agreed, looking around. She wasn't sure she'd be able to match Salieri's speed underwater. She felt like she was forced in slow motion with all the pressure around her. She held her arms up and stared at Salieri. She couldn't give up without trying, at least.
"Let's go," Eunmi said.
EDIT: s**t I keep missing one part of the post.
D-Vee couldn't complete his painting, and instead circle-dashed around with a Quick Attack. He pushed himself as fast as he could, desperate to meet Wukong with another attack before the Pokemon had the time to shift from the Heat Wave into something else. A split second later, he overstepped, speeding up, passing Wukong completely and he skidded to a stop.
[What?] he said, audibly confused. He had Quick Attacked into an Extremespeed, but he was still trying to figure out if that was what happened.
