Val entered, and made a soft noise. "Oh, Mala." She hugged her. "Want me and Alek to go up against the gods? We can. We totally can. We could kill all the gods that want to keep you and Van apart." She sounded a little fervent, but that was because she believed in true love above all else. Well, true love and sex.

Asplosionator "It's actually fairly simple," Alek murmured, pulling aside Val's shirt to expose her neck, then sinking his fangs in. He let out a soft hiss of pleasure as she exposed his neck and did the same. Just when the pleasure was getting unbearable, they both pulled away with simultaneous gasps. "Just like that," Alek said with a smile.
Angel giggled. "Now, Riley! Riley! We have to show Van and Lala your new self!" "I thought you couldn't see a difference in the way I looked?" Riley said with a chuckle as he left the room with Angel, his cheery expression fading when he heard everything that happened with Van and Mala. Of all the things to hear with new super hearing, this was not what he wanted to be the first.

Angel started to cry, hugging closer to Riley. "I'mma kill them," Angel said fiercely. "I'mma get Van back and then you two can get married and live forever and ever because you love each other and you have to be together forever and ever!"

"They can't settle with making him suffer, they have to humiliate him too?" Riley said clenching his fists angrily. This was getting ridiculous. "You'll get him back Mala, I promise. He's not just going to forget about you and accept this so easily." he assured her.

Mala was generally surprised by Val and the others bursting in with their words of support. Gradually, her expression of sorrow turned into one of a strange sort of happiness. She laughed long and hard before hugging Val back with a grin. "Thanks for the support, all of you. I appreciate it~"

"Just remember not to go crazy like me," Val said, kissing Mala's cheek. "We need you sane for the a**-whupping we're going to deliver, all right? We need a plan to get him back. I think Alek's working on that."

Mala's grin grew all the wider. "There's no way in hell I'll lose it before then. After all, I'll be needing all my strength for whatever we do come up with to get Van back." As Mala spoke, she sound determined - happy. Val, Angel, and Riley all coming over to comfort her in this dire time certainly helped.

"Besides, it's been a while since Van even saw any of the gods besides Atius. I'm sure the rest of 'em will see he's changed and take it easy on him or even help him out." Riley assured her.

"Unfortunately, grudges are held for centuries when immortality is involved... longer, in some cases." Alek sighed. "I hope my pessimistic view of things is incorrect, though. No matter what, we'll get Van back."

"So with that settled, does anyone actually have any idea how we're going to do this now?" Riley said, remembering there were a few obsticles to be had. "First off, how are we going to get to the gods' realm? We don't have any heavenly beings to give us a lift. And second, are we sure we could take on the gods?"

"Father was very good friends with the vampire goddess," Alek murmured. "And the goddess of the night. Mother wrote letters to the witch goddess and the god of fire regularly. Between those four, I'm sure we can find someone to give us a lift, maybe even help. As for us taking on the gods..." Alek didn't glance down as his arm crystallized into a two-food blade. "Well, we'll at least give 'em a good fight." It returned to normal.

Mala listened to the conversation between Riley and Alek. "If we're lucky, we can use charm rather than violence to win the gods over. If we can turn the gods against Atius, there won't be much of a need for fighting." she stated after a moment of thought. "Or at least, I should hope that is the case."
