Arlen pulled the fork from his mouth and swallowed before waving and saying, "Bye." His eyes lingered on Kaden's ears as he walked away. "Does everyone have kitty ears?" Arlen asked, thinking back to Tomo and Bai.

"Well, do I have kitty ears?" Cerri asked, laughing. "Do you? No, honey, not everyone does. Lily has bunny ears." she commented, thinking. "So there's three... and Guan's are like yours and mine..."

Arlen furrowed his brow thinking while he idly stabbed at his last few pieces of waffle with his fork. "Are kitty ears better than our ears?"

"Psh. No way. If they were better, Master Guan would have them, don't you think?" Cerri murmured, ruffling the boy's hair. "They aren't better or worse... they're just a bit different. That's all. Are you still eating that, or are you just going to play with it?" she teased, indicating the remains of his waffle.

"I'm eating it," Arlen said, sticking the last piece into his mouth and chewing on it pensively. "All done," he said after swallowing.

"Good boy." Cerri told him approvingly, kissing his forehead in a motherly fashion. Smiling at him, she gathered the plates and took them to the sink, leaving them to wash later before hurrying back to the boy; she didn't want to leave him alone for too long. "Well kiddo, what now?" she asked. "Do you wanna play a game or anything?"

"I don't know... what do you like to do, you silly thing?" Without waiting for an answer, Cerri grinned, then scooped the boy into her arms, tickling him. "How about this? Is this a good game?" she teased, carrying to the couch as she 'attacked' him.

Arlen laughed and squirmed wildly in Cerri's arms, gasping for air in between laughs.

Cerri continued to tickle him once they'd reached the couch, setting him down on it so she wouldn't drop him. After several minutes though, she relented, smiling down at him, eye twinkling. "So... do you know a better game to play, or should I stick with this one?"

"Hmmm... we could play the game where we both go annoy Guan." Cerri suggested with a wicked smirk, which then softened into a smile. "Or we could play the one where we bug Lily. Whichever you want, little guy. I don't know a lot of games either."

"Fine, spoil my fun." Cerri murmured, then smiled and offered the boy her hand. "Well, I need to go check on Lily. Do you mind coming with me?" she asked him quietly.

Arlen shook his head and took Cerri's hand, climbing off of the sofa. "Is something wrong with her?" he asked, concerned despite never really meeting her.
