Let's just say both. I'm here to win so I can get the cash moniez', though I want this to be a memorable experience; cause this is my first year.
How would you want it?
I'm here to have fun. Cash on this site has turned from being something worth having to decorate your avatar into monopoly money because you can't get any of the worthwhile new items without several hundred thousand gold... or two dollars cash. But that's not to say that winning wouldn't be a good thing either... more wins means more rounds means more opponents and more roleplay value.
So I guess we can just let our characters determine how they react to each other IC by the impressions that they make.
Would you prefer I make specific cause-effect posts or would you rather that I leave some parts open-ended? I know some people like implied damage in an attack post so they know how they should be reacting to it, and also had a few experiences with people who weren't comfortable 'winging it' on an open-ended post. And of course, there's also the people who make a general rule of using a worst-case/best-case scenario against an opponent's post if it isn't specific.
