And Snape was killed by one snake bite. Hehe. Lily and James were the only one's from that era that got an honorable death. Peter died from a metal hand. Tsk tsk.

Remeus and Sirius shouldn't have died. I don't really get the picture of them dieing. They were a huge role in Harry's life, and then whe she doesn't really go into detail about either of their deaths, its inssulting! SHe should have at least put in some little detail about how Lupin and Tonks died. Laying on the floor? Ugh that pissed me off. I thought that Peter didn't like acctully die, I thought he was just like passed out.

Defied family.
Escaped Azkaban.
Evaded Ministry.
Killed by...drapery?
Suze, yeah, the Snake bite annoyed me too. I knew ever since book 4 when we found Snape had been a Death Eater (never doubted his loyalty ONCE, by the way) that Snape wasn't going to survive the series. However, the way in which he died was so...anticlimactic.
I was glad Wormtail died, but I found his death scene to be unsatisfyingly short. It REALLY bothered me that Umridge survived the series. evil
While we're all complaining about the deaths I would just like to say that I found Dobby's death beautiful and well done. How he returned to the house of his masters and defied them to their faces, and died saving Harry as he would have wished, and how Harry dug his grave with his hands. It was all so lovely! 4laugh crying

I'm not thrilled with the Marauder's deaths, but I have to agree that Dobby's death was well done. I am going to put a little tombstone up for Dobby in my garden this spring.

Really? You didn't know he died at first? I agree Min. He should of suffered. He needed to suffer for James and Lily for basically taking their lives. He needed to suffer for Harry for making him an orphan. He needed to suffer for Remus for taking away two of the very few people who knew what he was and excepted him. He needed to suffer Sirius for taking one of the people he was closest to away. He needed to suffer for betraying the Order and Dumbledore. He needed to suffer for Ron because he made him look like a fool and turned him against his best friend. He deserved a lot more then he had gotten! (Rant much?)
Dobby's death was amazing. It was exactly what he would've considered honorable. I cried so unbelievably much.
I believe James died the way he wanted in a way. Protecting Lily. Since he was 13 or 14, he loved the girl. Dying to protect Lily and their son. I think he is the only maruader era character (besides Lily) who died the way he should've. Am I glad he died? Heck no, but at least he died honorably.

Dobby was the one that made me cry. And of course I've been annoyed about how they've been cutting the movies. So now I'm getting a kind of twisted pleasure out of Jo's decision to make them follow DH, because they cut Dobby out of every one but CoS. Now they're looking at the part where he died saving everyone going 'Crap he was important!!!!'
And I think Wormtail stangling himself was a wonderful thing, because it showed how it's never good to stab someone in the back, because karma is a b****.
I hated that it didn't even mention the Lupins' death until Harry sees them lying there dead. They should have had some spotlight. But they only got together and dies because she wanted to kill a parent and didn't want it to be Arthur.
And Sirius' death sucked. I think he should have killed Wormtail in revenge for James and those years in Azkaban, and then been killed by a Death Eater while Harry and the others escaped. If he had to die, that is. I certainly didn't want him to.

I know! Sucks for them. Well Jo told them Kreacher was important. Why didn't she say Dobby was important in the movies he missed out on? They gave his part to Neville in GoF! (I loved the whole part about Harry needing to save "his Wheezy." Haha!)
Oh goodness. Everyone (well mostly everyone) loves Lupin and Tonks. (Not as a couple, just as characters.) Why not honor them with a death scene? I don't care if it was short, just give it to him. Let us honor the last one of the marauders' death! (RIP Marauder's. We love you... a lot! heart )
Oh, that is a good idea. Sirius should've killed Wormtail. They used to be best friends though. Even if he betrayed them, it would still be hard killing someone you were once close to. Unless you can actually do that, which would surprise me. At least he died in the midst of battle saving Harry.

You can't believe Jo didn't mention Dobby's significance to the film-makers? What I can't believe is that she didn't insist on doing the entire Snape's Worst Memory with LILY in it! Because now in the movies when the subject comes up that he loved her people that don't read the books will be very confused by the randomness of it. I know Jo wouldn't have wanted to give away the "big secret" that Snape loved Lily, but she couldn've made it seem to be another reason, such as, "It's important for Harry to see what his father and his mother were like in their teen years." I guess it annoys me so much since Snape's Worst Memory is my favourite chapter in the ENTIRE series.
By the way, I designed a new profile for myself! To my knowledge, it's the first one ever to have been made about my fave HP ship. smile

They did have someone playing teenage Lily, but I have no clue where she was during that scene. Stupid people. Plus, I didn't like the cast of the teenage marauders. James did not look the way he was supposed to. Sev was a good cast I think though. Older James is too old for a 21 year old also. The dude who played him in the movie is over 50! Gahh! That makes me so mad. sad

I think that the reason she didn't make them include a lot of the stuff from the books that came afterwards is because she either didn't know it would happen or wasn't sure if she'd keep it later. Some of the best stuff in writing is made up totally on the spot. If she had known exactly how everything would happen, she would have already has it written and would have made them keep it.
