Gwyn didn't want to slow down, with the pace she had set for herself she should have been done before now. Or at the very least be nearing the end. Yet here she was sitting half way been then and there. She was only half done with the exercise that she had started off with such blazing speed. Perhaps that was her issue though. Maybe she had started off to fast, she had spent all her energy racing through the first few that now that she was nearing the end she had no energy left to spare. She felt find though, so she highly doubted that this was the case, what was more likely was that she had been overconfident in herself, so she couldn't sense the signs of when she was tired, she played them off as not big deal. That was an odd thing for Gwyn to do. Naturally she was so calculating and precise, was she really the type that would let her ego get the better of her? Well why not, she was only human, and lately she had been very proud of herself.
Gwyn looked over towards Tarou, though she didn't know why. She could have kept her head facing the same direction and achieved the same results. He had fallen quite quit for the time, and she was really hopping he wasn't mad at her. The last thing Gwyn needed was her first friend upset at her for wanting to be the best she could be. She highly doubted this was the reason for his silence however. If she had to guess if was because he was reflecting on his own training, or maybe he had fallen asleep. Gwyn laughed a bit at that thought, that didn't seem like the Tarou she knew.
Gwyn had become so engrossed in thinking about others she hadn't even payed one lick of attention to the push-up. When she went down she wasn't focused and her body didn't have the response time to tell her the ground was coming. So face first she planted herself into the ground, getting a mouthful of wet grass and dirt that she quickly spit out. Her tongue was not used to such bitter taste, and even with the water neutralizing the flavor it was still rather disgusting. Gwyn pulled herself up vowing never to do something that stupid again.

Tenshi tried again immediately after doing it and found failure once again. He didn't recuperate fast enough from the last one and completely lost his focus. He sighed and placed his hands in his lap once again and looked around at the others. Gwyn had begun doing push-ups with the boy, more than likely waiting for her next task to do. Perhaps I should go over there and introduce myself.... He wasn't sure if he felt comfortable enough to introduce himself, however, perhaps one of them would end up in his squad someday and it would be best to introduce himself now, rather than be labeled the anti-social one.

Tenshi walked over to Gwyn and Tarou. His arms hung down at his sides, like dead weight. "Good...morning?" he said looking up at the sky, "I think it's morning anyway... I'm Tenshi of the Fubuki clan." He sat down in the grass beside them. He didn't want to say more to distract them from their training. That was the last thing he wanted, to distract another student to the point where they fail their training. He fixed his white kimono as he did before to make a complete circle around himself. They seem to really be into their training... He pulled out his canteen and took another drink from it and placed it on the ground. The good news was that if he couldn't complete his training in the academy, he could always finish at home.

Gwyn sat back up as she felt another presence approach in to her range of sense. She had noticed this person walking in to the academy. He had a sad aura about him. Where Tarou was lay back and care free at times, this child seemed to be sad. He seemed pessimistic about something, most likely training because she noticed it felt the same as when Tarou was not doing well. That was the odd thing about Gwyn's senses, for how keen they were, they were still pretty broad and generic. Gwyn felt him speak. I felt wrong to say she had heard him speak because she didn't hear anything, but she knew he had spoken. He was talking about the time and the weather... And a name hidden somewhere in there. She went to extend her hand but stopped when she had a frightening realization, she had no clue where he was. That was the weird thing about her Keki Genkie, with her still being a child sometimes it flipped out and didn't always work. It wasn't the first time she had been in a situation like this so she did what she always did, she waited for him to move or talk again, then perhaps she could get a pin on his location and properly introduce herself.
"The fubuki clan huh?" Gwyn admitted to herself that she had never heard of the clan, though she wasn't really surprised. She knew little of the clans outside of Iwa, and even then she knew about only a select few that had often interacted with her family in business, she knew little about those clans that where strictly for nin. "It's good to meet you Tenshi of the Fubuki clan, I am Gwyn Yubie, of the Yubie clan of course."Gwyn gave a far off smile, she had taken a guess at the direction he was approaching from, but of course had been way off and was indeed talking far left of where the actual Tenshi was. She had decided to let Tarou chose whether or not he wanted to introduce himself. "Please join us. You seem to be in a slump. It's always easier training with others." Gwyn gave a coy smile as she readied herself for more push-ups.
Gwyn must have truly wanted to prove herself to this new person because this next push-up she did with ease. She flowed through the drop and lift as if she was a hot knife through butter. She dropped swiftly and caught herself just above the ground and with ease pushed herself up. Perhaps the last two times of failure had been a fluke? Or maybe this second students presence gave Gwyn a strong will to prove how strong she was. To prove to others even when she didn't have to that she was going to be the best she could be. ---------------------------------------- Push-Ups Do push-ups. 1d20 + Str. Mod(-1) +1. Satisfied that the newer students were training adequately and were even making friends with each other (always good for enhancing teamwork and increasing effectiveness in battle and other equivalent situations), Andou decided to check on the sparring pair. He saw what appeared to be a stalemate and frowned. "Saihoushi! Mikiru! Hurry and finish it up. The class is ending soon." Indeed the sun was getting close to its apex in the sky which meant only one thing... food time!! (Lunch break)
It also meant that Andou would have to find some genins he had been given a mission for earlier that day. It was just a simple infiltration, information gathering mission which wouldn't be too difficult for the kids since they would practically blend into the situation. To be honest, with a bit of luck even his students now could have done it. But the client was a rich man and wanted the best. Somehow... these genin were the best Kiri could offer for now. Andou shrugged and watched as Gwyn, Tarou and Tenshi talked.
"Yubie, try raising yourself up slower to work your arm muscles more. Don't forget to do cool down stretches afterwards. Fubuki, try to really go deep inside yourself and feel the chakra. Miyazaki, take a short breather, and stretch out your muscles. You're too tense."
[+4 to Gwyn, Tarou and Tenshi's next roll]

“Just imagine that you are strong enough to move the world. The the earth moves to your touch, not the other way around."
Tarou wasn’t exactly sure what she meant. Was he supposed to use his … non-existing imagination? Actually, he had a pretty decent imagination, and he supposed it was worth the try. Gwyn was showing more of her personality little by little, smiling and laughing along with Tarou. Tarou felt more comfortable than before around her, and he was really happy. Who knew that he would be able to make friends! He was usually very socially awkward, so he found this to be a big achievement all by itself.
Looking up at the new boy that came to introduce himself, he smiled and waved, a bit timid. He had no idea what these cland were, and more of all, he almost laughed at the other boy’s name: tenshi. He didn’t know what his parents were thinking, but to actually name their child ‘angel’, which was not even used as a person’s name If it was, it would’ve been a girl’s name. However, Tarou wasn’t the one that could criticize. His name was Tarou, the name that was so common that everyone stopped naming their child Tarou. His younger brother’s name was Jirou, so that didn’t make it any better. It was as if his parents’ imagination had left them completely at that time.
He was alarmed however, when Gwyn seemingly went to introduce herself, easily. It made him feel uncomfortable. He hoped that he could be friends with the Tenshi guy too, so he didn’t have to feel awkward or even a bit jealous. Tarou got envious very easily, especially when Gwyn was his first friend in Kiri, and his first friend since… forever. Not wanting to seem unfriendly, he snapped out of his thoughts and extended his hand at the new guy. “My name is Tarou. Miyazaki. I don’t really have a clan.” He said sheepishly. “Yeah, come join us. I’m really bad at these push ups; maybe you can help me. What are you working on?” Tarou was aware that he probably sounded really awkward.
He was saved my Andou, or so he liked to believe. He was reminded of how he needed to perform some push ups, and smiled at the guy one last time, before sitting down and doing what he was told. After doing a few stretches, (which felt AMAZING) he got into position, performing an easy push up.

Gwyn peeked over towards Tarou, she could tell he was having a bit of difficulty grasping what she was saying. She wasn't all that surprised, Gwyn had a way of viewing the world the way no one else could view it. She saw things differently, and not just visually, that much was a given, but in mind was well. It was hard to explain, but it was a feeling she had that helped her conquer any task put before her. She didn't really know how to clarify, so she didn't expand on the subject. Gwyn was happy to have found a friend in Tarou, most people were either frightened of her eyes or irritated by the way she talked. It wasn't her fault she couldn't hear her own voice, it was miracle enough she knew words! But she digressed as she readied herself for another push up.
Before she had time to go down she got this strange sensation of a guiding help. It must have been the teacher, because something about the feeling was much more powerful then when Tarou had given her advise and encouragement. Raise herself slower? Gwyn thought about it for a moment. She had been going about this all wrong, this wasn't about getting it done quickly, it was about getting it done so it improved her strength. Gwyn made sure to take this advice to heart as she closed her eyes focusing on her breathing.
Gwyn lowered herself as slowly as she could, making sure that every fiber of her arms was being worked. When she reached the lowest point she noticed how different she felt. She could feel her muscles burn as they strained to hold the young girls weight. It certainly felt different then doing them fast. She raised herself in the same fashion, which was almost 10x as difficult. She grunted through it as she felt the burn increase to the point where she could hardly hold herself anymore, but before she knew it she was done. If it weren't for Andous words of advice Gwyn doubted very much that she would have succeeded in the task. So she followed up the push up with more of his advise and sat on her rump stretching her arms. She assumed he meant a cool down stretch after each push-up, and not what he most likely meant which was doing a nice long stretching break after she was finished.

((Enter from Main Island: The Grove))
Batsu ran onto the academy grounds and stopped to see some of the younger kids training. A sense of nostalgia came over him. The boy remembered being with two Hoshigaki and felt as though his only ally was Taka-sensei. Though he had a rough learning experience he had the last laugh. Out of those three students, he was the first to leave the academy.
Batsu walked towards the academy and towards the kids. He didn't mean to disturb them, but he was looking for someone and had no idea who or where they were. "Excuse me you all. Could someone tell me where this Andou person is? I'd really appreciate it." The boy then flashed a kind smile to the students and hoped that they would be of some assistance.
