I wonder when Keegan got the Geodude, Kasiya thought, glancing towards him. But then again, he's probably wondering how I got Digger... It occurred to her that they hadn't really filled in the blanks from the times they'd been apart, other that the key points, like how Keegan had earned Wattson's badge. Perhaps they could discuss things when they were back on the road again.
Kasiya glanced towards the front counter, but couldn't see the nurse yet. She sighed, and looked out the window again. She could hear the nurse bustling around, and the sound of the healing machine working its magic on their Pokemon. I sure hope Keegan's right and that I'm not making a huge mistake by leaving my strongest Pokemon with Professor Oak. And I yelled at him for no real reason again... I wonder how he puts up with me sometimes... she thought, guilt starting to creep through her stomach.
"Your Pokemon are fully healed!" the cheerful nurse called out, startling Kasiya out of her thoughts. She nodded, and practically dashed towards the desk.
"Thank you so much!" she said, first taking her two Pokeballs and replacing them. She glanced at Keegan again, and took his Pokeballs as well. "Thanks again," she told the nurse, and made her way over to Keegan. "Special delivery," she told him in a sing-song voice, a wide grin on her face.

Kilik glanced over at Robin and his cheer squad. He gave them a slight thumbs up then turned his attention back to the battle. Vibrava knocked off of the green shield and spiraled into the air, whining quite audibly. She readied herself, then her small arms became tense. She shook her head and let out a squeal, as if trying to force something not to happen. Kilik raised an eyebrow at his Pokemon's behavior. This was quite strange.
She sighed heavily. The pain in her head had disappeared. What was that? Her eyes glanced down to her trainer then over to the Golem and finally to Golem's trainer. Bahamut narrowed her glance into a very threatening glare. Kilik swiped the air with his arm and held his hand in the air, wide open. "Bahamut! Use your Dragonbreath!" His fist clenched tightly when the command was issued.
Vibrava opened her mouth very wide and unleashed a blue stream of flames, her high voice screeching through the air. Her wings were flapping faster than ever, but she wasn't headed in any direction. The flames were bigger than normal, too. Kilik was quick to note this. Why is her attack so...different? he thought, crossing his arms, It seems strained, yet so much more powerful. His eyes widened. Is Bahamut about to...evolve? He threw his glance from Golem up to his Pokemon and dropped his hands to his sides, clenching his fists. If he was right and Bahamut evolved during this battle, he was not only sure to win, but he would also have a very powerful addition to his team.
Elekid clapped his hands together, cheering on his trainer and his friend. He stood next to Aipom and noticed his tail. He lifted a stubby arm and gave it a hi-five. His trainer had this in the bag. What was he scared of? He didn't need to worry about the big bully afterall. Kilik would take care of him.

"Take that attack Golem and use your Rock Blast on it!" Warrior ordered pointing forward and ordering in a booming voice. Everything about this man seemed to be really loud and really exaggerated it seemed. The blue flames hit the rocky skin but the Golem shook it off the flames not penetrating his rocky skin. Sick of the flames the large pokemon reached down and picked up a bunch of rocks and began launching them up into the air towards the small dragon.
On the ground and behind Kilik his cheering squad consisting of Luffy, Elekid, and Robin watched the battle. Luffy didn't notice it and Robing wasn't quite sure if Elekid did but she noticed the Vibrava's hesitation. She wasn't quite sure what it meant but she hoped that it was ok. She was paying so much attention to that she didn't even notice she had stopped her cheering, or the fact that one of the large rocks were headed her way. It was a good thing that Luffy did though.
The small Aipom gave a loud screech of surprise before tackling Robin to the ground and used this tail to pull Elekid with him. Luffy would do anything that he needed to in order to protect his trainer and his new cool plug friend. It turned out he had pushed them away just in time as a second later a loud crash was heard.
Sitting on the ground not quite sure what had happened Robin blinked a few times at the large rock that had just crashed down. Looking down at Luffy then at the rock she figured out what had happened. Scooping up Luffy into her arms she gave him a big hug. "Thank you Luffy." She murmered to him before setting him down. Glancing over at Elekid she grabbed him to and pulled him into a hug. "Hope your ok too Elekid."

Elekid was totally fine. He gave Luffy and Robin a thumbs up to show for it. The little plug of a Pokemon turned his attention towards Vibrava, afraid for it's safety. Kilik dodged one of the rocks that had been chucked in his direction. It was small, but it still would've hurt quite a lot if it had hit him in the chest. When he stood back on his feet, he growled at the trainer across from him. "Your Golem has worse aim than a blind marksman!" he snapped, looking up at Bahamut. "Attempt to dodge it then slam him hard with Giga Drain!" It was worth another try.
The lanky man began to snicker again, which caused the other cohorts to guffaw in turn. "Seems to me that the little boy's gettings a littles angsty!" The guy flipped his sunglasses onto the top of his head and crossed his arms over his chest. The female of the group giggled and draped her arms around him. "But I'm sure boss's gots this in the bags!" He snickered.
"Your boss doesn't have anything yet, creep!" Kilik barked. Vibrava missed the first rock that was thrown, but collided with the second. It didn't do much damage, but it did send her to the ground with a loud crash. Dust shot up from the hole she had created and small bits of earth were sent scattering about. Kilik shielded himself from the debris. "Bahamut!" he called out. There was no response. "Bahamut!!"
More laughter ensued. "Aww, baby boy's baby Pokemon's down and outs!" When he opened his mouth to talk again, he immediately shut up. Within the dust, bright streams of white light began to emit. It was quite visible for everyone. Almost in an instant, the dust was completely gone and replaced with a pillar of white. A silhouette of a much larger Pokemon appeared from the hole Bahamut had occupied previously.
Kilik's jaw dropped but it immediately turned into a proud smile. He examined the large wings that had replaced the four small diamonds of the Vibrava. He took note of the long tail that had the three prongs at the end. The green dragon stood before the trainers in it's glory, the sun reflecting off of it's red goggles. The newly evolved Flygon let out a mighty screech and clenched its small hands shut, flying towards Golem for it's attempt at a Giga Drain.

Watching the evolution with wide eyes Robin couldn't help but feel a sense of awe at the evolution. She had never seen one before and to witness such a powerful pokemon's evolution as well. What she had read on books was no comparison to this. She could only watch as the powerful new Flygon charged at the Golem hitting it and toppling it over and using its Giga Drain attack. Still in her lap from when he had tackled her on the ground looked up just in time to see the large Flygon take off. Luffy was confused, he didn't understand, where did the bug go? The big dragon thing looked kind of like it but he really didn't know what was going on.
Across from the Warrior started to look a little concerned the Giga Drain would hurt his Golem, especially if it was from a Flygon. It was to late for a Protect and there wasn't all that much he could do when the Giga Drain hit. "Gah! Golem use Explosion! If we are going down then we are taking that over grown lizard with us!"
Trying to focus from the attack the Golem closed his eyes and reached into itself. Finding that place inside of it the Golem braced itself even if it was futile and let out a mightly explosion. The resulting blast was enough to send a burst of wind out from the epicenter of the blast.

Jason could not stop grinning for the life of him. He marched around on rout 117 and whistled to himself. He could finally fulfill his dream of becoming a pokemon researcher, just like professor Birch. He finally had a pokemon of his own and would be able to go on adventures farther than his hometown without fear or needing the protection of his father. “At last I can hold my own with my trusty… wait a sec, I don’t even know what pokemon pops gave me! How could I forget something so important! Um.ok let’s see. Here goes nothing…Pokeball go!” He took the pokeball his father had given him from his belt and threw it out a few feet in front of him. As the white light that erupted from the ball took form, Jason watched in wonder as a small round figure rose into the air and hovered there. Instinctively Jason pulled the PokeDex from his pocket and opened it, listening to the computerized voice give him the information he needed.
“Megnemite, the Magnet Pokemon. The units on its sides are extremely powerful magnets that generate electromagnetic waves that keep it airborne. It feeds on Electricity.” Jason pressed a little blue button on the pokedex and the screen changed to show charts as well as other info as Dex spoke again. “Magnet Pull: Traps STEEL-type pokemon.” Below the charts was a list of attacks that Magnemite had already learned. Metal Sound, Tackle.
“Holy smoke, pops got me a Magnemite! How you doin’ buddy! My name is Jason.” Jason grinned at Magnemite as he moved closer to try and take hold of it. Magnemite simply stared at Jason without making a move, it simply hovered there with its eye gazing blankly at Jason. “Hey buddy, you alright? I’m your new trainer. Guess I should name you huh? Let see… you’re an electric type, I know that much. And I heard that you’re electric attacks are super strong when you evolve… I know! I’ll call you Zeus, the god of Lightning! That alright with you?” Magnemite simply hovered in place for a moment before circling around Jason, apparently content. “Zeus it is then. Alright Zeus, you’ll help me become the greatest pokemon researcher in the world, together we can do anything!” Zeus continued to circle Jason, coming to a stop when Jason began to walk down 117 again, hovering just to the left of Jason’s head.

Keegan turned to face Kasiya, a smile on his face. "Why thank you, Miss," he said, taking the Pokeballs from her and placing them in their respective spots on the strap around his waist. "I didn't know the Pokemon Center had such lovely ladies delivering Pokemon to their trainers." He gave a bow, flourishing an imaginary cape before taking Kasiya's hand and kissing it gently. Standing up to his full height, he placed his hands on her shoulders, and stared directly into her eyes. "So, we're good, then?" he asked, more for reassurance than anything else. Before hitting the road, he wanted to make sure Kasiya was in good spirits and that she was all right to travel. After all, they'd be spending a lot of time together, and if they were constantly bickering and snapping at each other, it would make for a long and difficult journey.

Kasiya giggled rather girlishly, feeling her heartbeat come to a stop as he kissed her hand. "They don't," she said, smiling. "I just decided that you were special." She giggled again when he bowed, remembering that whens he had first met him, he had indeed been wearing a cape. She'd been wondering just what he'd done with it when his face became quite serious, and for a moment, she was almost scared at what he was going to say.
"Yes, we're good," she told him reassuringly, reaching up to lightly touch his cheek. "I'm sorry though. Sometimes I don't know how even I put up with myself," she chuckled. "You're quite a champ for still being here with me after everything." She stood up on her tiptoes in order to kiss him on the nose. "Let's get out of here before anything else happens, eh? I want to get a move on to Hoenn already!" She kissed him one more time before turning and heading out of the Pokemon Center. Upon seeing the bike rack with a few bicycles locked up to it, she frowned. This would go so much faster if they could just take their bikes.

Kilik's eyes widened. It was the same tactic he always pulled with Weezing - fight as hard as you can then blow up when you can't take it anymore. The only difference was that Self-Destruct was a much weaker blast than Explosion. He braced himself as everything seemed to be engulfed in a bright white light. Dust kicked around everywhere. He nearly missed his newly evolved Flygon disappearing into the light. He glanced over in Robin's general direction. Instead of worrying about his Pokemon (it had healed a major chunk of it's health thanks to the super effective Giga Drain), Kilik whipped out Elekid's Pokeball and recalled his partner quickly. "Get down!" he barked as loud as he could over the sound of the explosion.
The wind was a bit too much. Instead of hunkering down like he had told Robin to, Kilik stood there wide open. His feet slipped out from under him and he was sent flying a few yards before landing in the dirt with a loud THUD! The air was knocked out of him immediately. He sat up slowly, his breathing staggered and strained, wincing in pain. "Bahamut!" he called out once the dust had started to clear, "Bahamut, where are you!?"
As if like a signal of hope, the dragon burst free from the dust, shooting straight up into the air like a green bullet. Kilik ran back to the place he had stood before, the pain in his back now beginning to fade. He was huffing too, but that didn't matter. His Flygon was still alive and kicking. There were very many visible scratches on Bahamut's skin, that was for sure. The lens on one of her goggles was also cracked. She too was breathing heavily, much like her trainer. Taking her spot next to him, a smile appeared. She had won. Her tail wrapped around Kilik. This feeling was much different than Vibrava. When she was still small, the Vibrava's skin felt rocky yet somehow still smooth. Flygon's skin was so scaly and warm. He patted her on the side and smiled. "Great job, Bahamut!" he laughed, "And you evolved! What until Mike sees this!" He glanced over at the gang members, who had now started to run away from their leader, screaming about being trounced.
Elekid popped out of his Pokeball of his own free will and jumped up to Kilik's head. "Ele! Ele!" he laughed, patting his trainer with his round arms. "Check it out, Elekid!" he smiled, trying to look up to his head to see his yellow plug, "We've got a great new powerhouse to our little family." Family. Now he was wondering how Flareon was doing. He turned his attention to Robin and placed his fists on his hips and posed heroically. "How'd I do?"

"You learn to live with just about anything when you love someone," he murmured, although he did wait until Kasiya had disappeared outside before he said it. Smirking, he slid his hands into his pockets and went outside, noting that Kasiya seemed to be annoyed at the bike rack. Oh, she must still be angry that her bike is busted, he thought, also frowning. "Don't worry, we'll have a lot more fun traveling on foot," he told her as he came up behind her. "It'll take longer, but who cares? So long as we get there, that's all that matters, right?"
He patted her on the shoulder and motioned towards the north. "It's this way, isn't it?" he asked, already moving forward. He knew which route they'd have to take in order to reach Saffron; he'd trampled all over it the day he'd stopped Loki from devouring a nest of Spearow eggs (and after nearly crushing them himself). He smiled, remembering the great teamwork between Helios and Themis that had allowed them to capture the naughty Ekans. Has it really been that long? Nah, couldn't have been. he thought, wondering what other Pokemon he'd add to his repertoire before his journey was through.

"Yes, north," Kasiya confirmed, and she quickened her step in order to keep up with Keegan. For someone who wasn't really in a hurry, he sure could move fast! She looked up at him a few times as they walked, wondering what he could be thinking about. They walked in silence for quite some time, easily leaving Vermilion behind them as they began to follow the route that would take them to Saffron. Quite a lot has happened on this path, she thought, remembering how many times she'd been up and down it with Nina and Sabrina. Her heart ached for a moment at the thought of the late gym leader, and she suddenly wondered where Nina was and what she was up to. She also couldn't help but wonder what Kilik was doing as well, although she silently wished he were keeping himself out of trouble.
She could see the old lady's Daycare center creeping up out of the horizon, and she pointed it out to Keegan. "This is the field where I met Seto," she told him. "The lady there sent me out to find a Meowth that had ran away, although it turned out it had been in the house the whole time. That's how I got this," she said, pointing out the faint scars that still decorated her cheek. He probably would have done a lot worse if it hadn't been for Shocker." She smiled at the memory of the brave Pikachu running in to her rescue, and marveled at how much Seto had changed since that day. Even though he'd had a little help from the Soothe Bell, he still opened up to her. She was glad that the little adventure had turned out as it had.

"At least it worked out rather well," Keegan nodded, thinking about how annoyed he would have been if he had been in her position. "Speaking of meeting Pokemon, when did you get the Sandslash? I didn't know you had one of those. In fact, what Pokemon do you have with you right now? Since you swapped your party around, I've had no real clue." He figured that telling each other stories of how they met their Pokemon would be a good and interesting way to learn more about each other, as well as help to pass the time as they walked. Obviously she had the Jolteon and the Sandslash, as well as most likely her Bayleef and little Levi as well. The two other spots on her team were blanks, and he figured that he'd just forgotten about one of her Pokemon or so, since he hadn't seen them in so long.

"Oh," was all Kasiya said at first, as her mind quickly rushed to remember just how she'd met up with Digger. "To make a long story short, don't try to infiltrate Viridian Base by your lonesome." She paused, kicking at a rock with her foot before realizing that she would have to elaborate. "I tried to break in so that I could get Kilik's Scyther back for him," she said, remembering painfully the events that had unfolded that day. "I got caught, and some idiot Rocket put a Sandshrew in my cell with me. He evolved, and we busted out, only to get caught again, and by my evil b***h sister, no less. But, for some reason Giovanni let me leave." She stopped again, wondering why the Rocket leader hadn't just offed her when he had the chance. She knew that he considered her, Mike and the others to be quite a threat to him, most notably after their assault on him and his goons at the base on Five Island. He told me never to return, but I did, she thought, starting to walk again as she remembered how she, Mike and Flannery had made it their mission to stop Nina from going after Giovanni by herself. Mike and Nitro really did a number on that place... she smiled, wondering if Giovanni was aware that at some point, she'd return to his gym, but for no other reason than to challenge him for his coveted Earth Badge.
"Digger decided to come with me rather than remain a... a slave to Giovanni." She stopped walking as a trio of trainers came into view, probably around the age of fourteen or so. She didn't need them to overhear her talking about Giovanni or Team Rocket. "What about you?" she asked, nodding. "When did you capture a Geodude?"

Keegan just blinked a few times, eying the trainers in front of him curiously. They had all turned their attention to him and Kasiya, and were watching them intently.
"You're really good at getting into trouble, aren't you?" he asked, laughing a bit. He cleared his throat, and looked at her again. "Not an overly exciting story," he said, shrugging. "After winning Wattson's badge, I was able to use the HM for Rock Smash, and Althena absolutely refused to let me teach it to her. So, we ended up catching a Geodude during our arguement over whether or not she'd learn it. I've always liked Geodude, and this one seemed tough, so I captured her." He patted the Great Ball at his side, and sighed. "She does like her naps though..."
He stopped walking as they came upon the trainers. Two of them were dressed in school uniforms, and it seemed they too had been having a conversation, which was now stopped.
"Hey," the first boy said, stepping forward. "You guys are Pokemon Trainers, right?" he asked.
Keegan nodded. "Yeah, good guess kid."
"Well then," he asked, glancing at his friends - a girl and another boy - "do you guys want to battle?"
Oddly enough, Keegan's first reaction was to say no. He wanted to get going - get on the train to Saffron and get back to Hoenn. He really didn't feel like battling with a bunch of kids just now. "Sure, I guess so," he said somewhat reluctantly, looking to Kasiya. "What do you think?"

Robin who was already on the ground with Luffy just turned slightly laying down and using her body to shield Luffy. The small Aipom wanted to watch but didn't have much choice, instead he just settled on using his tail to hold onto Hat. When the wind settled down Robin and Luffy peaked up from there spot on the ground, they were both covered in a fine dust, much to Robin's distaste, Luffy didn't seem to care. Looking around they spotted Kilik and Bahamut standing together with Elekid just coming out of his pokeball. Picking herself up Robin went over where they were standing. Taking charge Luffy had already dashed over to them a big grin on his face as without warning or even asking he jumped onto the Flygon's tail and climbed all over her. He still didn't quite get what was going on but this new pokemon was really cool.
"Congratulation's Kilik. On both winning the battle and your pokemon's evolution." Robin congratulated with a small smile as she looked up in wonder at the large dragon standing before her. Inside she wondered if she would ever get a pokemon as big and powerful looking as the one standing before her.
Across from them the Warrior recalled his Golem and watched them for a moment before turning around. "Come on let's get out of here. If he beat my Golem there is nothing you all could do against him. The rest of the gang gave their boss a strange look as he walked back to his bike. One of them, a skinny tall male looked about he was going to say something but decided against it and walked back to his own as well. If the boss said that they were done then they were done.
