Well, that would explain it. I thought the pole-dancing dodge was a bit over the top as a reaction. Then again I don't have the profiles so such agility is entirely possible in Gaia. That's really what it boils down to.

I also consider it odd that he makes a "full speed" charge when by your preceding post he was only a step out of the spear's reach. Normally it takes time to accelerate, but then he could have super speed or whatever.

IMO it's also bad form to charge into a spear in one post and then the next post say "Oh, yeah, I just deflect it." If I were a judge I'd punish him in the points because to me it says he wasn't gauging the situation appropriately in the first place. Worst of all is ending up behind Tres somehow. I get that he wants to continue the dash until he gets to the point, but it's probably not going to be that simple and he's basically throwing a post away on something we all know shouldn't and isn't going to happen.

On a side note, why step back but thrust the spear forward? I'd hold ground, brace the spear against the body since it's in one hand to prevent such easy deflecting. Like holding a lance, you really would let him do all the work with no realistic means of just ignoring it. It just doesn't seem like the proper way to use a spear or the proper way to react to his charge. But that's just me.

I appreciate the ear to my rambling, though. And feel free to turn it back around on me if you've kept up with mine. Critique is good. For example, I'm not too keen on my latest post, but from the writing perspective rather than mechanics.

You are right. However, the left hand is not normal.

The left hand has augmented tonal strength. While it is as effectively strong as his normal left arm would be. Its ability to maintain a grip and to maintain a position is augmented. While he will certainly have less leverage holding the spear in only his left hand, he needed his right to begin activating the psionatrix.

The reasoning for the retreating step was based in the assumption that he would come forward. I wanted to maintain my positioning on the outside.

And no, not Sigil. I played there for a bit but I don't think it's where I want to really build my character.

I'm thinking more of a regular roleplay, a defined setting with a cast of characters that really fit in with each other and work toward some sort of goal.
