Dawson winced as the lights flashed on, his eyes had adjusted to the dim glow of the emergency lighting. Then he heard the inhuman roars and screeches of the strange creatures. The room was decorated with the strewn remains of the crew.

The pirate shuttered slightly before speaking "The engines are back online, i'd know the sensation anywhere and unless this console was secretly controling the ship, we've got someone else poking around the computer system." his datapad lit back up as the console finished its reboot. "Give me a moment or two and I should have enough information. Though I suggest we gather a few samples from these monsters, we might be able to pin this on the Sith, its not much but propaganda is powerful."

"I would still advise stopping by the armory, Imperial forces are not permitted on this mission, however mercenaries are free to join you if they see fit." Victor had already seemingly shifted his attention to another file. He remained standing, flipping through the pages, pausing long enough to give the appearance of reading the document.

Hoth - Kilo base.

Skandaronous left the room and headed for the Armory. He had to modify his weapons just a little. The cold terrain would be harsh on the resources that had been put into the weapons. Once there He noted a few men standing around preoccupied with one task or another. He strode through the doors and went to the scrap pile for worthless weapons that had broken down. After digging for a moment He found something interesting, two things in fact. One was a map drawn an a crude native shield with ancient glyphs for a Holocron and the other were core components of old light-sabers. He ended up taking all of it as well as a few sniper rifles. After getting his booty, Skandaronous went into a darkened corner of the room and got to work re-enforcing his equipment using the casings and metal from the rifles, adding to his weapons with the light-saber parts, and studying the map on the shield. From what he could tell, the map was constantly changing. The surface of it seemed almost holographic as numbers, lines, and other squiggles changed or moved around on it.

"Of this I have no doubt, my men would not be able to operate outside of the shadows, well atleast not with out bringing down the wrath of the empire." he sucked air through his teeth, he could not afford to waste more time. "Yes? What do you think I meant? I have several holding cells, not to mention several carbonite emitters, they should preserve the specimens. Not to mention the droids seemed to handle the smaller creatures with enough ease." the zeltron began disconnecting from the console preparing to begin their trek back to the ship.

"Such is the price of progress my dear, these sample you collect, they could be of the creatures or the victims. We know next to nothing about them, a living sample would be ideal but the risk, well..." the intercom interupted him, he paused listening to the automated voice "Maybe we will need a live sample. If this station is destroyed who knows how much will be lost?" he looked down at the datapad his face contorting "Unsure at the moment on that one, we allegedly should have time, but I would rather not risk it."

Lucky for Skandaronous, he had a inborn passion for learning languages and he was really good at it. So when the Wookie approached him with a greeting, he answered back in the same guttural language that he was in a decent mood but was busy. He noticed that the Wookie hadn't left him alone to continue his small project. In response Skandaronous asked him his name and profession.
