Sorry about your grandfather. But I hope you had a great time with the snow because so far it's only snowed once this year.

It has been some time. I'm trying to pull and keep myself together for the new year. I've hit some bumps already but external feedback says that I'm doing far better than 'usual'.

Meatball: It's nice to hear that you are doing well I suppose is the word. I'm having a major brain fart and can't think of the word that I want to use...darn my brain.

I got my report card today, and I got an A in honors U.S. history, Spanish 3, P.E., and a B in the first half of honors algebra 2.

It's been really cold lately, and it was raining last week, then got super cold, then snowed again two nights ago.

Lucky biggrin ! I wish it would snow, it only snowed once and it wasn't very much crying , though, it is expected to snow tonight. 4laugh

vballvr5: Trust me. If you live where I live, you'd be plenty tired of snow by now. And the cold. Now I just want it to get warm. It was pretty insane today...it was about 25 degrees out, and I thought that was warm. 25 degrees!!!!!! Yeah, that's sad.

Our JV Scholastic Bowl team got 5th over the weekend in conference. Which wasn't too bad out of 8 teams. I answered 6 questions correctly, though there were a few more that I knew, just didn't ring in to answer them, or someone rang in before me.

On Friday night, we had our second Cross-Town Challenge game of the basketball season. It was against the other high school in our district. The first time, we beat them at their school in double OT, but they kicked our butts 70-58 at my school...I can't wait til football season...revenge will be sweet...and on their turf biggrin

And I love watching tennis, so I was watching all of the Australian Open (I watch every Grand Slam religiously), and unfortunately, Justine Henin lost to Serena Williams, but Federer beat Murray for his 16th career Grand Slam title biggrin So that made me happy.

Greetings, and welcome to Ravenclaw AsianSpazz! I hope you like it here.

Yeah, I procrastinate on a lot of my homework. Especially Algebra and Chemistry.

Sad news. My best friend's dad passed away from brain cancer yesterday. He had been on Hospice the past couple of weeks, and my dance teacher told us that he was only drinking a little bit of water. Which from what happened to my uncle over the summer, I know that means that the body is starting to shut down and they don't have a lot of time left. We've all sort of been expecting it for the past month or so when we heard that the radiation and chemo weren't shrinking the tumor-it just kept on growing. But I don't know, even though I was expecting it to happen soon, it still just sort of hit me when it happened.

And on a different (possibly slightly happier note) someone kid at my school today (he technically doesn't even go to my school) decided to pull the f***ing fire alarm in the middle of second block. So it's the middle of winter at 9:30 in the morning, it's cloudy, windy, and about 25 degrees out and all I have on is a long sleeve shirt. Yeah, it was just a wee bit cold. scream

Oh wow, that's incredibly sad. :-/ Well at least the father isn't suffering anymore, which is horribly optimistic but oh well.

So I used to be in this guild, a long while ago. I think around '07. I remember it being much busier and, for lack of better words, vibrant. What happened? gonk

AsianSpazz: Yeah, I know, that's what I thought when he died. At least he's in a better place. I mean, I know it's sad that he died, but that's what helped me get over what happened to my uncle over the summer, is that at least they're not suffering anymore, at least they're in a better place. As for what happened, A lot of these people in our common room are in college or have a job. I'm one of the ones who's in high school still, so I have more time to go on. Not as much as I used to because I have harder classes, so I get a lot more homework.

Vball: I like your tektek of Ravenclaw. It's pretty cool.

So is anyone doing anything fun for the Superbowl? I'm just going to a party at my godparent's house and some of my friends will be there.

Ah, I was on here quite a few years ago. I think actually around '06-'07. It seems like a long time for me. Were you there before? I think I remember this guild being very very busy back then. I'm still in highschool though like you I'm getting busier now as well.

Nothing really special for the superbowl, my family isn't big into football. I watched it, though. Who were you rooting for?
PostPosted: Wed Feb 10, 2010 3:45 pm

To be honest, I could care less for football. I only watch the Superbowl for the commercials and I go to parties because they have good food.

AsianSpazz: No, I was not on Gaia back then. I only just joined November of '08. I'm sure it was busier back then because now a lot of the people still active are in or out of college.

We just got almost 10 inches of snow dumped on us Monday night, yesterday, and last night. And did we get a snow day? NO! Oh well. At least my school has a half day tomorrow, and sophomores have this really stupid thing called Reality Store tomorrow, so I don't have to go to any of my classes biggrin
