A friend of mine found an adorable kitty on the street, and she was giving it away. It belonged to someone before, that's for sure, but she said there was no collar or anything, and that it continued to just walk and forth across the street; she couldn't live with herself if the poor kitty was run over. So, she made sure that it DIDN'T belong to anybody nearby, gave him a bath, and then brought him along with her.
I was SO tempted to take him with me, but I asked my roommate, who, you guessed it, is allergic to cats... and we don't have the necessary space and other things to keep a cat. I was so crushed. D'=
He was cute, playful, and really soft all over. And he harrassed me when I was eating my salad. Also, cute, sharp kitty teeth. So cute~~~ <3
(It at least understood 'here', because whenever Stephanie, my friend, would approach it with water or other non meaty things, he would respond by edging over... like a ninja. =w=)

8D I got a little baby boy - a month old. >w< He's so sweet and cute - I swear, I spent hours today just cuddling and petting him. D': So. Sweet. <33333
He came with his brother - who my sister / roommate claimed. >w< THEY'RE SLEEPING TOGETHER AND OMG IT'S SO CUTE. 8D
The kind - not sure. XD I just know one's a hooded and the other is PEW - aka, albino, 9w9 and the PEW one is mine (Mah red-eyes~~ <333) who I named Nicodemus. owo I'll give someone a cookie if they can guess where that's from. ;D
His brother is Mither Handsomeness. o-o Big name, but, whatever floats the sis. 8D I'll just call him Mither.
....And what's that about a week? D8 I ALREADY HELD HIM, LOLI, OH GAWD. ;~;'''
D: Dear lord, that's.. horrible. O-o 90 dollars? o__o I was going, "D:" at 20$. xD;;
These one were 15 as a pair. :'o But it's really just the adoption cost - I got them from a little adoption agency group thing that specializes in rats and small animals. >w< This old woman was running it out of her home - OLD BRITISH WOMAN. D< Which made it more awesome. And she had so many little rats and animals that I got to hold and she gave me food and a cage for free because she's just awesome. D8 [/loves]

I love albino rats. D< I always wanted one, but the red eyes freak my mom out, so she always said no.
You're not supposed to handle rodents for the first week or so, so they have time to adjust. o___o They can die of stress if there's too much going on, so most people will recommend that you leave them be, somewhere quiet, so they can get used to just being in a new cage. I've noticed that pet stores have stopped telling people things like that. o____o

I'm sorry! D= I was going to post today, but it looks like I may be going to see my friend's concert tonight, so I probably won't get to it until tomorrow.
I hate oversleeping, it messes up my whole schedule. >____>

Ahhh, nah, nah, xD That normally applies to more skittish rodents - like rabbits, hamsters, or mice. :'o Rats, especially ones from a breeder and previously handled, only need a few hours to adjust before you can start handling them - and it's important to do it after those hours or else it'll take them longer to get to know you as their new owner. To take in the scent and all that. xD Just playing with them and stuff like that should wait for the next day considering the big move~

Now praise me for I have survived my second Chemistry test D< ...which I hope I did as good as I feel I did xD

Perhaps it's different if you buy them through an adoption agency and a pet store. Through adoption, presumably they're more used to humans, rather than being raised in a cage with a bunch of other rats. It's less of an adjustment?
Okay! D< So, I'm going to work on posts today! Shouldn't be that much, I just need to get motivated.
Also, Serend, I don't think we ever decided who's doing what for River/Zhi.
