The man stood his ground, sighing softly. "That was not smart." He said, shaking his head. Slowly, he reached up and literally wiped the flesh from his forehead. "That was expensive." He sighed some, then looked at Nyl. "This is the glory of Sephiroth Mousser's incomplete upgrade." The man looked back at the tank, dismissing it. "And you're about to witness the full fury of it..."

"Your expense is no concern of mine." She shrugged. "You're a minion, too, anyway."

"No. I did this to myself." He smirked some. His eyes were human, not robotic, and they bulged from the metallic face. He was fast. His afterimage slowly faded away, at the same time, his fist rocketed towards Nyl's back.

She knew he was coming. She knew people faster, people whose afterimages were what you saw as you went flying away after they hit you. She took the hit anyway, sprawling forward onto the grass. After a moment, she rolled to her feet again.
"Minion all the same. It's so unfortunate."

He shrugged. "Call me what you will. As soon as I kill you, I'll be able to finish Sephiroth's upgrade. Or maybe I should take you back as well. You'd make for a formidable robot. Fiesty, though." He began to walk towards her again.

"You amuse me. But I tire of being amused." She walked towards him, as well. There wasn't a hint of power on her, though.

"I wouldn't walk on that ankle, if I were you." He said, stopping and smiling. He nodded his head to the side. Sometimes a best offense was a good defense.

She shrugged. "I've been worse." Inwardly, she smiled. So very revealing, these things.
Because, after all, sometimes a best offense wasn't nearly good enough.

He remained there, unmoving, watching her. Stalemate? Perhaps. But he wouldn't attack. He wanted to know what she had before he killed her. He had already decided to do so.

"There are things that even you don't know about, you know. ...Things no one here has ever seen before."
She knew exactly what she was doing. He was curious. It was easy to feed such curiosity.

"Well if I told you everything I could do, there'd be no surprise. And where's the fun in that?" She sighed. "I'll tell you now, though, since you know anyway, that as Ijutsu Sensei I will beat you at the Waiting Game."

He nodded some. "Yes, I suppose so. I'll just have to end it right now, then." He slid his foot back and rose his hands into a classic stance.

A girl of about seventeen or eighteen years walks through the front doors. Her greasy brown curls hang over her face, hiding her wild eyes. She looks lost, or maybe she’s blind, wandering aimlessly up and down the hallways. She’s as thin as she ever was, but she looks healthier. There’s some color to her body. Besides the dirt, she looks to be in fairly good shape.

From the sand on the floor of the main dojo formed Kaimen, as he was produced into a shape, a small sketchbook and pen were in hand as he scribbled a few things down.
