Hi Coma! I'm still trying to figure out how to have Colin respond to Conor (it's spelled with one "n", right?). And hey, I just realized that they kind of look alike too. Tallish, leanish, blonde with brown eyes.
@Loli I'm totally gonna have to look for a pic then. Although, that being the awkward age it is, it'll probably be hard to track down. And I really don't want him to be a drunk/bad guy character...that was just one of the options.

@Loli -- I HAVE noticed that, and while it does irritate me that I'm way too comfortable in that box, I've at least got Gemma as my first non-Alpha b***h girl chara. And considering how she ends up, she probably never will. It's also why I'm a little on the fence about Jensen, he's gonna be my first attempt at a real male chara who's NOT a satellite chara. So I want something that's in my range, hence the sarcasm, but at the same time out of it; straight male AND genuinely kind. You understand what I'm talking about, right?
I never got to play her in your RP, but once he appears this'll be fun~~~ >;3 Poor Jun, I feel so bad that it's already planned that they'll be at each other's throats... or at least that Jun won't like her. xD
And that's... bad? =0 I'm sorry, I'm trying to figure out if that's a praise or whether it's part of the first argument. And yeah, that's basically what Katherine Pierce is about, which is why I chose her for Ryder's inspiration; she's much darker than any of Bela's, which are more kind, but blunt and catty. =w=

@ Serend -- But I LOVE your characters. ;____; You don't need a challenge, you have enough!
@ Osaka -- That's why I like Gemma the best. =w=
It's shouldn't be that bad, though. I don't get how guys are that different from girls, except for who they pursue, but Gemma's into Nanami, so it's not like you've never played someone who likes girls! You can do it, I believe in you! ='3
June's just destined to have a hard time. =w= Especially with Yuri obsessing over him like that.
It's kind of cliche. Not very realistic, at least. Super idealistic. Someone who's sexy and strong and wins. Seems kind of perfect. Usually when that sort of character type is used, it's as an ideal -- to appeal to a male fanbase with a hot female "villain", or to give girls a sort of "perfect" female to admire. Isn't that sort of how society says women should be? Beautiful, capable, strong, sexual. (Of course, especially in previous decades, the 'femme fatale' archetype usually has pretty flimsy strength. The typical weakness is MANLINESS, you know, since any good woman can't help but be overpowered by men. If they DO win, it's through their sexuality, because women are sexual objects who like to trick men with their devious cunningness.) The problem with that is while it makes good entertainment, no one is really like that. Not really. If they are, then it's probably a front they're putting up, and they're trying to compensate for more personal insecurities, and that's how they think they should be acting.
There was a small feminist rant in there somewhere.

@Loli -- She's just SO out of the box, that she's even a little silly.
Well, I don't get it much, either. They just come out a little wimpy or girly, which is why I try to avoid them. But since I have the mold, which I've decided as the Best Friend, because that would be easier than some crazy hothead. Not mean, but would be seriously really, really loud. xD
I thought it was June who was obsessing over Yuri, not the other way around. =0
I actually laughed at the 'always wins' part, but the rest is quite true. I don't like them because their strong or even pretty, it's a bonus, but not exactly; Bela was always more of an experiment that only really played out to its full extent in Nirvani. What I really like is the conflict, and that's something she brings easily into play. I really figured it would be the path she'd take at one point, but once it was part of her, I couldn't exactly make her go super moe and docile, could I? The characterization would be completely off.
Which is why Gemma came in, actually. She was the counterbalance. She's her complete opposite, don't you agree? Where Bela was the slut when she was young, and probably knew the 'in crowd' and had a reputation, Gemma was the best friend. Bela had a horrible home life, while Gemma's close to her immeadiate family; I just haven't gotten around to say she calls every few weeks. And where Bela makes 'Fire Forged Friends', (because who could stand a friend like that if you didn't like them? I wouldn't be able to handle her s**t half the time!), Gemma is much more friendly and easy to like; just a bit cooky. And even the clothes and shoes: Bela was more trashy/flashy and wore high heels all the time, and Gemma's more sophisticated/casual and can barely even walk in high heels.
I've always liked contrasts, you see. And to play two completely different mind sets as they do has been so fun~ =D What I'd really like to see is them coming together.
Oh, and the Skip now, where everything can be switched around and bad habits fixed, eh? =w=

Silly characters are fun. =w=
Yeah, it helps if you have something to go off of~
What? o___o No, of course not. He's oblivious off in the corner, while Yuri is thinking of him 99.9% of the time. That sort of "you were my first friend here, you're super special to me, am I super special to you? Why don't you act like I'm special? Why don't you pay attention to me? How can I get you to pay attention to me? OH MY GOD IF YOU DON'T PAY ATTENTION TO ME RIGHT NOW I DON'T KNOW WHAT I'LL DO. OH GOD if you don't like me, no one likes me! What am I doing wrong?!" desperate panic. 9w9
Bela/Gemma really are good foils. =w=

A little hard at moments that demand them to take serious action, but otherwise? Definitely. ;D
Yeah, I usually use other charas as a shallow base and inspiration, but then I add personal layers to said charas that make them mine. =w=
WELL. Kento sure is bad at explaining things, then. I swore I thought she ignored him or something, so maybe it's just that he has REALLY bad communication skills... or she does. xD
You know what I find EXTREMELY ironic, though? =0
Where Bela was supposed to remain the shallow, mean spirited, spiteful woman, she's actually giving a total 180. 0-o After the Skip, Xeiro's mellowed her out and she doesn't go off on everybody, although she does pull out the b***h card when necessary; she'll still be bitchy to Connor, Dante, and Romane, though... in the antagonistic sense. Mitsuke too, if she wasn't killed off. But yeah, by then she'll be more of an everywoman. You know, not so guarded.
Also, hehe, I forgot to mention that what I really found good about Xeiro/Bela is that he'd probably be the only kind who could mellow her out. I mean, he WAS comic relief, while she was a drama mule; they also somewhat more subtly play off each other like that. I mean, can you IMAGINE if Bela had hooked up and/or married Vlad, of all people? =0 Drama mule + Drama mule = DISASTER! DD'=
And Gemma, who started out as a comic relief foil, actually takes a turn toward the dramatic. Going batshit insane and all, while losing everything she ever really cared about. Talk about a 180. 0-o
So basically, they end up completely opposite of what they started out like.

Comming in to say I'll post at the cooking festival tomorrow morning. Too tired for it right now -_-'
I was being very stupid with a "I need that book to finish this essay... Oh, I'll go get it later. Library only closes at 9pm! =D" Turn out that on Friday, it closes at 7pm, so tomorrow I have to go super early because it closes at 2pm. People dont like to read on Saturdays, it seems.
Also Loli, I think that if Teen/YoungAdult!Wilhelm and Yuri were to ever become friends, it would be the most codependent relationship in history of RP o-o.

@ Osaka -- ...I want to know how Kento explained it. o____o He's the one who told me that June will pretty much blow her off all the time.
Kento sucks at words. 9w9 He's constantly misunderstanding things and making unclear statements.
I do like Bela's development. =w= I mean, we haven't seen it too much, but she's mellowed nicely.
Xeiro and Bela are surprisingly perfect for each other. o_______o
I think her paired up with anyone else would have been a disaster. I still think Yuuto/Bela would have been the funniest thing ever, though. 9w9
Gemma's makes sense. She's so childlike, and the naive ones are easy to break. D'=
@ Lone -- Libraries suck like that. D< I never understand why things have shorter hours on the weekends, you'd think they'd want to take advantage of everyone's free time.
OH GOD. If they were friends, they'd barely be able to function. xD They'd be too busy angsting over what the other is doing.

@Loli -- I don't remember, but basically, the way he explained it, the roles of Yuri and June were backwards. At least in that superficial part. D=
Right? I hate it when he's being laconic and ambiguous, it makes me wonder if what I'm thinking is the right thing. DD'<
She'll mellow even more as time goes on, to the point where you actually wouldn't mind sitting down and having an chat with her. xD
They're exaggerated versions of what manly men and bitchy, dominant women are like. Of course they'd fit. But as for Yuuto, it's too bad that neither the Bela OR the Winnifred got to play out; I would have liked to see him be shellshocked.
Gemma's future is, for lack of better words, a nasty case of Break the Cutie. D'=
@Lone -- That's what you get for putting it off. =P

@Loli: I think people have free time BECAUSE things closes early? =D But yeah, back in Moncton, the library closed at 3am on Sunday because they knew people always pushed things to the last minute on the weekend and it was always full =D
They'd be all "what are you doing?" "Thinking of you, you?" "Think of you o-o." "Really?" "Yes O-O" "LIAR! YOU WERE THIKING ABOUT WHAT TO ANSWER D<" "NOW YOU'RE THE ONE NOT THINKING ABOUT ME ANYMORE." " I AM D<" "PROVE IT!" "YOU TOO D<"
@Osaka: I know o-o. I hate myself.
