Hey peeps, what's up? From the last page or so, I gather we're talking about the skip? I still have no idea what to do with Colin. He's going to be like 32 after the skip. Which just feels like such a weird age! He'll be out of the college partier phase of his life, and into the professional phase, but I don't know what I want him to be/do... He might just end up being "that loser" who just never really got it together.
After the skip I may add another character, if I can think of something interesting, but I really want to work on Colin. I like what I have going for him so far, but he could go just about anywhere. He's so calm tempered and to the point :3 /character rant

@ Osaka -- Yes, the timid and the shy ones aren't particularly interesting, but it's boring when all of your characters are aggressive and sarcastic, too! =0 One is fun, two is okay, but any more than that, and you're just sort of playing the same thing over and over again. Maybe not even shy or timid then, just genuinely kind and positive.
...o___o Wait, what? I'm lost again. So I'll just say "damn straight! D<".
Yuri's timid now, but she's going to have a fun (and by fun I mean not at all) adolescence. =w=
@ Mono -- I totally understand. D= It is an awkward age, isn't it? It's like it's wedged in between young adulthood (what I would considered twenties) and full-blown adulthood (probably around 34 and up).
Nirvani is good for bums who don't know what they want to do with their lives. =w= It's like Neverland for adults.
He's a good character, though, I think he'd suit his early thirties well.

@Mono: I don't think I know you, so hello! 32 is a bit of an odd age, I have some characters who will be around that age too actually... I'm not sure what I want one of them to do either, I've been trying to figure that out actually....
@Prince: Amaya wouldn't go to the magic box.... I vote the coffee shop! Shall you post first, or shall I? I like the word shall. xD

@Usagi Yeah, I don't believe we've met either :3 Hello back! Well, good that I'm not the only one. I would like him in a relationship with someone at some point, and even if it doesn't end with marriage and the perfect family, I'd at least like it to be longer term.
@Loli Yeah, I've noticed that too, lol XD And yeah, he's already pretty calm like someone a little older. I think I'll either have him get his s**t together and make something of himself, or just go opposite and make all his habits worse. I wonder if I could find a pic of him with longer hair and a scruffier looking face. I might have to look into that... 'Cause in ten years, if he doesn't figure his life out, he really will be a drunk. Which would be sad D':

@Loli -- Yeah, I see what you're saying. I really don't like wishy-washy charas, but I should try to diversify them a bit. Can't they all just have some sarcastic quips AND be diverse? -Likes Sarcastic Quips- =D But yeah, if I do make Jensen into the former mold, he would be it. He's just sarcastic, too. xD
Kento told me about Yuri and June, which is why I've opted for Sawyer. Just trust me, Sawyer will be somewhat gray in that instance. I like to think that the few times Sawyer will actually try to help June see the truth, by being truthful, Jun wouldn't believe whatever he hears. Sawyer lies a lot, so it'll basically be a 'The Boy Who Cried Wolf' kinda problem. And Saw-Saw only gets mad when questioned over what gender Saw-Saw is, or when offended. But yeah, otherwise Sawyer's a trickster. (I lean more to saying he, but I actually have no idea what gender Sawyer is yet. I haven't decided. Since the one in Loli's guild was actually going to be a girl. xD) In fact, since it's such a b***h writing about her, I'll just switch the gender pronouns often. I mean, at least in the OOC, I'll be more careful about it when I write about him once I've actually decided.
Same with Ryder, she'll be all nice and sweet now, but later... yeah. xD She'll either be this or this, while still inside the parameters of the RP, because she won't be kicking people's asses left and right like the latter, but she'd probably be very violent and hot tempered in that instance. Which is why I'm leaning to the former, which is more manipulative and deceitful.
Her inspiration when she's older IS Katherine Pierce, after all. But I do refuse to go down to the level of 'The Vamp', that's just too overly sexual a chara type. >>
(You don't have to read the tropes, you can tell what they'll be like by the title, the quote and the pic they provide. xD)

@Mono: Actually, I may have decided what I want her to do but I'm not positive yet.... Yes, relationships are nice.
@Loli: Can I reserve a job for after the time skip or is that a no?

@ Mono -- I'd like to see scruffy. 9w9
We have too many drunks here. :< For me, at least. But I totally get your dilemma, I'm sort of in the same place with Rory. I'd prefer that he get married, but since he barely knows any girls at the moment, it's probably not going to happen anytime soon. So he's kind of stuck in the same place. (Though, Winnie leaving means the museum is up for grabs, so he'll probably take over that and become REALLY geeky. 9w9)
@ Osaka -- My roommate and I have been reading the Artemis Fowl series for the hell of it (since she works at an American library, so she gets free access to lots of English books) and my problem with it seems appropriate -- sarcastic quips and, in the case of the books, James Bond-esque one-liners, are great fun to write and read, but in moderation. When every character does it, they all sound the same, even if they do have pretty distinct personalities outside of it. Their individuality gets covered up, and the reader wonders if the writer is capable of writing individual characters with their own separate personalities. Of course, that doesn't entirely apply to you, but it's good to keep it in mind. Sarcastic characters are tons of fun to play and read and all that, but when it's a common trait in most (if not all) of your characters, it makes you seem like a one-trick-pony. =w= (God, I hate that phrase.)
I like Sawyer, though. 9w9 We need more traps.
Ryder seems like a typical Osaka character. =w= Sexy, dominant. It's hard to explain. Like the kind of person who always ends up on top or superior to the others. Takes advantage of people, always has the upper hand. That sort of thing.
@ Usagi -- I see nothing wrong with that. We're only three months from the skip, I doubt we'll have that many new members join in that time (and we've had a few people ditch us recently, so we have a number of spots opening anyway) so I don't think a few reservations will hurt. I know the circus people were reserved from before I got my hands on the job center, which was about two months before the last skip. So I say go ahead~ Just if the character would be reliant on the job. (Like, Rory's growth post-skip would really depend on if he got the museum or not, that sort of thing.) If it's just any old job, you could probably afford to wait. But I'll stop rambling now.
