Edith was there in a flash, instantly spotting Tokeru in the lumination of light on the sidewalk outside of Las Noches. He'd been pretty easy to follow with the mind link and whatnot but the more and more that she tried to find some trace of the Tokeru she knew in his mind, the less and less she recovered. Her Tokeru was faded and replaced with one that was hurting, scared and very irrational. He saw things that weren't there and right now he saw even her as an enemy. It wasn't so much he saw her as an enemy, rather, he didn't see her at all and just thought of her as something or someone that was in his way. It didn't matter to him that she was his fiance or possibly former fiance, it didn't matter that he loved her or used to and that's what hurt her most far more than her split forehead or being slammed into a wall could do.
She didn't even give Tokeru a warning this time, she wouldn't talk to him until she'd knocked him out and finally got through to him to make him believe that he wasn't in any danger. Edith was now behind Tokeru and she'd taken a swing for his temple. Yeah, she was punching extra hard because she knew that Tokeru was tough and could handle it so she'd have to make it hard if she hoped to knock him out. Maybe she should have been asking for someone's help but she wanted to do this on her own, she somehow felt like it was her fault. Tokeru maybe didn't care for her anymore but she still cared for him and right now, knocking him out would be doing him a far greater favor as opposed to standing by and watching him get ripped to shreds by thousands of vampires that wre looking for revenge.
Edith tried to speak to him mentally again, though he hadn't even heard or responded to her the last time. Maybe threatening him with something more personal would work, if it didn't, well, she'd probably follow through with it anyway. He'd been gone for six months and now he just appeared out of no where and was attacking someone that hadn't done anything to him. He'd even hurt Edith to get to her. 'Tokeru,' Edith said to Tokeru through what she could get for a link, 'let me in, I'm not an enemy and I'm not trying to hurt you. The vampiress you're attacking didn't do anything to you and if you kill her here you'll only be killed by hundreds of other vampires that want revenge. If you don't stop this right now I'm going to give you back my ring, if you care more about killing that vampire than us, then I'll know that you're not the Tokeru I fell for. What happened to you? Come back to me, I love you and you're killing me right now.'
Yeah, Edith was now crying, tearing, but not sobbing, she was going to knock him out. If he was unconscious, he'd still have a bit of a mind link with her and he'd be able to talk to her through it since she'd become a lot stronger with her powers over the past few months. However, she prayed that he returned to normal or at least showed a part of himself to be normal, otherwise she really would move on and all those months searching for him would have been wasted. If she didn't have Tokeru, she'd be alone again and she'd be depressed again but she wouldn't let it hinder her. She was strong, she'd dealt with hurtful things before, Reno had hurt, by far, the most.
