Nessa walked over to Arielle, and stood near her, sensing the motherly vibe coming off her. She wished her own mother was here, but she was all the way back in America. She looked to Musica and Sam, and smiled to herself. They were going to be alright. She didn't need a vision to tell her that. She now anxiously awaited Ari, whom she had sacrificed some freedom to bring back. Her sketchbook with the prophecy was tight against her chest, almost as if she were afraid the words would fly off the page.

Musica smiled at his daughter, knowing already that was probably what the Goddess was doing to begin with. That's why he was so reluctant to let her go, he knew what she wanted. Aphrodite was so determined to have her way, she probably didn't care to even sacrifice a life so precious to Musica as his daughter Sammy. Anyone for that matter. "Well she can give me all the pieces she likes. I've not done a damn thing to her." Then he looked over at Nessie, and his brow furrowed briefly. Just why had she been with them? "Vanessa, how did you get dragged along to go with her? Probably wasn't your choice though was it? If only he knew how well he'd hit the nail on the head.

Arielle smiled at the girl. She didn't know that Vanessa was a Prophetess, but she did know that these words were comforting. "...Thank you." It was unusual for Arielle to be given advice by her own students, but she would take it with grace at times like these. Especially since it wasn't bad advice in the first place, and the girl was polite about it.

At first he accepted her response, knowing something like that would be very important to Vanessa. Of course, they were best friends. Then he thought about it, why did she avoid his question? How had she been dragged along? Then Musica's eyes glowed slightly as they went wide. He cut his eyes across at Aphrodite but said nothing, his eyes enough to slice a person in half. She really did know no bounds, that a life like Vanessa's meant nothing to her. It was sickening, and in fact so he had to hurriedl remove Sammy to one hand to reach his tissue up to his mouth, continuing to cough up more blood. It was beginning to turn black now.

As if on cue, Meimei appeared, worried frown in place, thrusting a potion at Musica. "Here, hun," she said. "Drink this up. It'll help you out with ...that." She gestured to the napkin, now quite obviously bloody. She hovered nearby to make sure he did as she instructed.

Ever was now crouching on her desk. She was bobbing up and down slowly, looking toward her bed. There was a little bit of distance there, but she couldn't back down now! Raven had dared her! She couldn't back down from a dare!

Raven was giggling from the headboard of the bed. "Evermore! It's not THAT far! Believe me, you'll love flying through the air!"

Ever mock-scowled at Raven. "I know! I'm just aiming... Don't want to injure myself..."

She was a very flexible person. Hell, on the first day of school, she had jumped from the third floor banister to the second! This should be easy!

Finally, Ever gritted her teeth and launched herself forward. She loved the feel of nothing beneath her but air. She always loved that feeling.

And then, when her feet hit the springy mattress, she was airborne again! Only this time, she was sailing to the side, right toward the floor! She had launched herself forward TOO much!

Ever quickly tucked herself into a ball and managed to roll on the floor instead of crashing onto it.

When she was on her back and uncurled from her ball form, she could be heard laughing loudly, her cheeks bright red from laughter. That had been awesome!

Raven had already been at Ever's side when she saw her go off in a different direction after landing on the bed, but when she heard and saw that Ever was laughing, she breathed a sigh of relief and then began laughing herself.

Before Aphrodite could respond, Nessa jumped into the fray. "Stop it!" she demanded, "Stop it, both of you! You're acting like kids! Musica: you're acting like a baby, and trying to bait Aphrodite into fighting with you. She took care of Sam, she took care of me, I'm fine, Sam's fine, so stop trying to make something out of it! Aphrodite: stop being goaded so easily, and stop retaliating! It only prolongs this stupid prejudice against each other!"

She paused for a breath, her face flushed. "You're both against Nikolaus, so that puts you on the same side. Suck it up and deal. I am not fighting a war if you two can't go two seconds without being at each others throats!"

The phone suddenly rang in Ever's room. She sat up on her floor and looked at Raven in confusion. Her phone hardly ever rang.

She got up from the floor and walked over to the phone on the top shelf of her desk and picked it up.

"Hello?... Yes, this is she."

She listened for a few moments and then her eyes went really wide and she gasped into the phone. When she finally spoke, her voice was full of amazement and shock.

"Yes... Yes I would... I will. Thank you so much... Okay, I'll talk to you again in a few days.... Goodbye."

She hung up the phone slowly, her face not changing one inch. She walked over to her window, looking through it but not really seeing anything.

Raven flitted over to Ever and hung in the air beside her. She waited to hear what the phone call had been about, but instead of getting words, she suddenly heard Ever scream loudly.
