Chiasa let Core handle that sort of stuff. She moved to make a plate for him and then a plate for her.

Nikoli took a breath.
"The Academy is empty. Aislin and I went for a dynamic entry through the southern wall. Though Crystallis research was still progressing at a slow pace, there was only one test subject on the time- which was the researcher herself. And when I say empty- I mean, completely empty. The fortress had no defenses, no inhabitants at all besides the sole scientist. We planted some explosives I'd mixed myself and took out a few of the main supports. WE probably did a few month's work worth of damage, but the importance of that is left unknown considering the desolation of the place. Anyways, fearless leader, it's your call."
Nikoli takes a sip of his tea.
"I'd be willing to stay on for awhile, if you like."

Chiasa listened to what Nikoli said, quietly. She finished making a plate for Core and set it down at an empty place at the table. Then she worked to assemble her own.

Aislin stood with Chiasa, "What about you three? What happened to you?"
Gab had eaten half the bacon and made a loud burp. He looked very content, "That tastes good... Barick!" He flapped his wings happily, "Will you take me out to go get a chicken or a pig later? I'm still hungry, and I want to fill up my belly for dinner."

"Well, we went on the airship and flew to Expansia Fields," Chiasa replied, sitting down next to where she put Core's plate. "We basically ran different functions with our mind or something, fighting against the other ship. Once we took that down, we were dropped in the middle of the freezing field with a crazy emotional vampire. Then we walked back here."

"Eh, where's Aegina? Did she come back with you two?" Barick asked Core and Chiasa. He was so distracted by Aislin that he forgot about Aegina.

Chiasa shook her head. "I think she took an ally to the nearby abandoned city, after we were dumped in the snow."

"I think we should wait and see what's going on, but it would be nice if you stayed," Core said and sat down, looking at his breakfast, "Thank you Chiasa," He said to her, "You should get something too."

Chiasa nodded and finished getting a plate for herself. Then she sat down next to Core.

"Oh." Barick said and wondered which ally she took, and wondered what she was doing. He then got a bit paranoid that something might have happened to her, but then realized that it was Aegina, and she could probably take care of herself.

Aislin blinked at them, "Holy s**t... You three have been through some kind of hell..."
Gab Cringed away from them, "Lin... those images are scary... I don't want to see anymore..."
"Oh..." Aislin moved over to him, "I'm sorry, Baby boy..." She picked him up and cuddled him, rocking him back and forth, "I didn't mean to show those to you...."
"Those were scary..." He whimpered some more.

"It certainly was hell, but we're all here and we're all okay," Core said. He looked over to Nikoli, "It would be great if you stayed, just in case that battle wasn't enough..."

Chiasa slowly began to eat her breakfast and glanced to Core. She hoped he would do the same, soon.

Gab finally stopped whimpering and nuzzled Aislin. She sat down, on Chiasa's other side. Gab climbed onto her shoulders, then crossed them to curl around Chiasa's neck. He purred, and rubbed the side of his face against Chiasa's, "I missed you and Core..."
