Isis47470 LCDHondaPunx Trying to create a badass avatar that would..remotely look like our hobby would be a little difficult.. Good luck, though.. Not very hard at all, im being commisar like at the moment. I can sortta look like a marine... or a biker... I've almost got tau figured out. mrgreen OOoOoOOO fun idea ! Guild 40k avi costume contest ! ya, the soldat set makes the commisar look easy, but necron, or orks, those would be hard

Because most members don't bounce beyond the main forum or one other forum stare If you want people to find it, post it in the main forum. I'll move it after a week to which ever army forum, the army you played in the report was.

Im pretty darn jazzed about a legit way to field my entier company of Marines and my super heavy flyers. With Apocolype the use of the Baneblade would be legit instead of "Mother may I" Like Every Other Game . . .

To me it seems like another money making gambit.
NO FORCE ORG! MASSIVE POINT GAMES! DUDE BUYZ US SOME TANKS AND BUYS US SUM LEETS CHOICES PLZ!11!11!11!!!!11oneone!!11111!!!!
Plus with them taking the approach of creating or changing rules for models. It seems like a giant frag fest, with people going insane and crazy, for people who have spent thousands of dollars on their armies.
Either way if I was to join up I would so play the largest games I could with an all nid army only basic point cost gaunts.

Um.. well any thing we buy IS a money making gambit. How else are they supose to keep a 10 year old + game new and interesting to keep its players investing in it ??? With new styles of play seems to be the general idea. Just like any other game, I mean how many different types of monopoly are there ? Starwars, Pokemon, sponge bob, the simpsons. They're all different but the same game. A 3k + point game is a full company of marines, full force org used. If you've seen a pic of my marines its really not that huge of a game. Ok the table size needed is a full 4x8 peice of ply wood but thats about right considering its only a 4x6 table for 1500 -1850 points. And when you consider deep strike and delayed deployment the amount of models hitting the field at once is moderated.... Unless your a chees head bug player. mrgreen Either way Im buying in, im a sucker for new ways to play, I dislike the standard rule set. City Fight FTW !

Apocalypse is a way for GW to make more money, but then so are the constant updates of the codex for each army. The thing is that most people already have an army built for the game because they like to make their standard 40k army more veresitile anyway

(By money making gambit I mean in a way more so then they already do.)
