Vexis just stared at the strange man from her dark corner, no sooner had she finally gotten over that seizure type...thing, weird things start happening! Although, once Vexis took a closer look at Blake's face, she almost instantaneously recognized him from back on Sentinel. "Wait...why didn't you use those powers back at that planet when he died?" Vexis questioned, then pointed to Marth when she mentioned the dying person. She wasn't sure if either of them truly recognized her or not, but might as well test their memories for fun!

"If you can make things levitate...then you can probably use those powers to fend off enemies..."

Vexis looked alert and curious at the same time, you could practically see the little exclamation point bounce above her head. The synith remained silent for a surprisingly long time, just watching, waiting for the answers.

Vexis hesitated for a moment, but spoke up eventually, "Is....something...wrong...?" Her voice was hushed and filled with uncertainty, like if she were feeling guilty by just asking a question.

Vexis nodded ever so slightly, then hunkered back down into her corner, curled up tightly with her arms wrapped around her knees.

'You know better than to mess around in the affairs of others, Vexis.' Nomiko's cruel sounding voice echoed out into Vexis' head, the others obviously couldn't hear it. 'You cannot run, and you can't hide, either. All in good time, though, Vexis, all in good time. You'll find me...after you're already in the afterlife.'

Vexis shivered as she heard this, her blood ran cold, her skin paled a bit. She instinctively reached for the the little blue Shivasai crystal in her pocket, holding it close to her for protection. The dim blue light shone inside the palm of her hand, resembling that of moonlight. Vexis shut her eyes, trying to calm down, but Nomiko's words kept echoing in her head. Now is when Vexis really began to regret leaving Gunther behind, yes, he was a freakish result of some lab experiment gone wrong, but he was a freakish result of some lab experiment gone wrong that could fight off any enemies with ease. God, Vexis could be so stupid at times.

Meanwhile, Gunther was sitting in the lab, bored out of his mind. The mutants seemed to have completely disappeared -again- after that big one was re-defeated by Rosa, so now things were boring and peaceful again. "Why do you people even keep me alive anymore?" He asked sarcastically, then sighed.

Victor glanced back at the shadow man briefly, then turned back to his computer screen. "Well, that's because Luna isn't completely developed yet! Although, once she's grown up and complete, your doom will be upon you..." There was a moment of silence, but then the shrimpy researcher broke out in his weird sounding laughter. "Oh ho ho! I'm just teasing you! No, you will always be with us!"


Gunther gave one of those God, kill me now expressions. "Happy happy joy joy..." He stood up and headed over to the monitor that Victor was at, staring at the blinking green and red grids displayed. "So...still no sign of any of those mutants, eh? I think that robo-girl just about sent them to extinction..."


Victor shook his head, "Don't be so sure about that...we have been receiving odd signals from the Shivasai caverns lately...could be another lifeform starting to become active..."

And you know what's funny? I'm the youngest out of all four of us (Zfatal, SPI, Techni, and myself), and yet I produce some of the longest posts in this RP... rofl

Now granted, it takes me almost two freaking hours to post at times (because I write everything on the spot, I don't have any word-processing programs to save posts to), but it's still kinda funny. Being a post-perfectionist doesn't exactly help with the post timing, either, though...every little error in my writing just annoys me to no end... sweatdrop ))


Vexis just glared up at Jad hatefully as he entered the room, even though it had absolutely nothing to do with her. Her eyes changed from their normal pinkish-purple to a deep blue, the pupils in her eyes were no longer visible, either. The Shivasai crystal she was previously holding disappeared somehow, or maybe it dissolved into her skin??? "Egotistical morons like you don't deserve to live." She growled at the Pyresian, now starting to stand up again. Vexis' eyes still remained dark and cold. The Synith clenched her hands into fists, her sharp bones pierced through the skin on her knuckles, ready to be used as blades once more.

This didn't quite seem right somehow...sure, Vexis DID hate Jad, but she wouldn't be so quick to bring out weapons, normally. What the hell was going on?

Vexis inched closer, hostility was clearly visible in her movements. She was going to attack, with no second thoughts.

The Synith struck out at Jad, but stopped short of actually hitting him. Something was wrong, Vexis gripped the sides of her head tightly, as if she had one hell of a headache right now. A dim blue light shone from under her skin, just below the reach of her neck, near her heart. "...S-stop i-it...p-please..." Vexis murmured to no one in particular, perhaps herself. She stumbled back against the wall, clumsily. Vexis seemed to return to normal, momentarily, then reverted back to the 'must kill Jad' version, and then back again. The Synith finally fell forward onto her knees, then to the floor, unconscious.

The blue light seemed to vanish from her skin now, leaving not a single trace of it's existence.

((Wow. What an accomplishment, for even Jad to say something is weird. xd ))

Gunther puzzled over this for a while, just staring at the screen while his mind worked in it's mutated way. "Wait...so you're saying that these crystals contain living beings inside them? Like, spirit essence?" The shadow man began to pace around the room, still deep in thought. "That Synith girl used one of those crystals, not knowing of this issue...what will happen to her? Do these crystals have any side-effects to them?"

Victor stepped away from the monitor, and grabbed a paper document from the counter top. "I'm not certain, Gunther, I'm really not. This phenomenon has got all of us befuddled, there's really no way to know..." He responded, pushing up his loose-fitting glasses again, a concerned expression filled his rounded face.

"Crap..." Gunther finally stopped his useless pacing, his yellow eyes scanned across the lab room.

Of coarse, he didn't even know what half of this junk was, but something still might explain some stuff...

The file cabinet in the very far back of the room caught his attention, he headed over immediately and started searching through the files from several years ago. Gunther pulled out one particular group of documents, dated from 15 years previously. "Well, what did you people use for THIS project? I mean, you said that she was one of your main projects for many years, and something about soul fusion..."

Victor didn't even have to ask which project it was; he already knew. The researcher remained silent for a long while, not even bothering to face Gunther. "...Project Kiranesis? Well...she was put through soul fusion, we fused that one entity inside her...unknowing of it's power..."


Gunther sighed, "Yes, but where did you get the soul from? What was the source?"


Victor looked puzzled at this, why was Gunther getting so upset about this? "The Novias stream is where we found it, but I don't see how that could be relate-"

"Don't you see? These Shivasai crystals are a mutated form of Novias energy! They're the same freaking energy, just changed a bit and given a different name, it's the same life force as before!" Gunther slammed the file down on the table, his eyes fixated on Victor. "The same thing could very damn well happening to Vexis right as we speak! And god knows what kind of essence was trapped inside that crystal!"

He rushed back towards the computer monitor again, and started to type something in real fast.

"Gunther! What are you doing-?"

"Trying to warn everyone on this planet to stay the hell away from those caverns!"

The blue light had started up again moments later, only on the Synith's forehead this time. Her eyes snapped open, her arms and legs all started to twitch and move on their own. The alien girl was back on her feet within an instant, inching near the Pyresian again, her blade-bones were still out and ready to kill. Something was very odd about this...Vexis almost seemed like she was still unconscious while doing this...like she was sleep-walking to the most extreme level. Her eyes were still dark and unfocused, her movements were jerky and unstable. Something else was controlling her from the inside.

Jad gave it a look that showed it was really freaking him out, "She's like a damn zombie!" He exclaimed and whipped out his pistol, firing brursts of stunning energy, "Go back down on the floor!"
