Shinigami let out a low chuckle to the other Vampire's words. He looked over at Alasdair, and then back to Veroen.
He then spoke, with another chuckle of his inhuman, toneless voice. "Even your own bloodsucking kind dislike you?" he shook his head with another chuckle. "You Vampires are a sad, sad race." He then looked at alasdair and let out an evil malicious laugh, finding it amusing that the Vampire thought that he would someday rule the city. No, this city was the property of his master.

Alasdair did not really care that Veroen had failed his standards, he was not the first comrade that he had been forced to leave behind as he walked through his destined journey. Veroen was neither the strongest nor the loyalest of the comrades he has had during the centuries. As of now, the great vampire stood alone against the entire city. And he was going to strangle that b***h and drain her blood- his destiny was to rule.
So the greater vampire had no problem with turning his back to Veroen. He had done that to himself, but he would be lying if did not admit that killing him would sadden him. But it had to be done, no one could stand in his way and Veroen was clearly not with him.
"If you are not with me..." He whispered to Veroen as he entered the tree created shadows, "You are against me." With those final words, Alasdair aimed his dessert eagle to the ground and fired a single silver round into the leaf-littered grass. The bullet was swallowed by the darkness and an instant later it was flying towards Veroen. The bullet was not meant to hit the other vampire, but Alasdair could not help but grin as the bullet flied next to his face (at eye level) before leaving the darkness and flying at Veroen. If he would not move, the bullet would just graze by his neck.

Eden felt horrible, she wasn't wanting to come between Alasdair and Veroen's once unquestionable partnership but things seemed to be spiralling down hill from their once stable relationship with one another. She knew how much Alasdair's friendship meant to Veroen, he was probably the only ally that Veroen had trusted in his long life of being an assassin. "You're making a mistake, vampire. Here beside me is the most loyal, devoted friend you will ever make and you are throwing him away all because he is willing to allow me to save my child? I think you should think things over before you condemn him like this and speak out of anger."
When Alasdair insisted that Veroen had to be against him simply because he wouldn't kill every single lycan in sight she just about lost it and up and chucked a rock at his good for nothing head. It certainly didn't have much of a brain so it wouldn't be a huge loss if she managed to knock the vampire's head off with it. "He's entitled to his beliefs just as you are! Can't you see that he still wants to be your comrade and ally? You're supposed to stick together, that's what you need in a time like this, unity you d**k!"

(( Just so Al's not all alone and since I kind of just ... stopped playing her without warning and because this place needs more action. ))
A pure ebony willow wisp formed and had the opposite effect of a sudden flash that blinded, instead, it was a sudden darkness that seemed to dim the area momentarily until a figure appeared. She was fairly short, standing at a very modest five foot two, the height of a child and the appearance of a doll. She was clearly Asian and for those who were able to differenciate the particular features that separated them they would recognize her as Japanese. And if they could not see the physical differences if they understood the language they would be able to pick out that she was whispering some Japanese when she first arrived at the scene. She'd materialized beside Alasdair, his old comrade from centuries ago, most certainly forgotten. "Sanjou desu yo! Alasdair-san no kanouhou wa hen desu."
Her pale, delicate lips, as they whispered into his ear gently brushed his ear as she spoke with her flowing and melodic voice. "What seems to be amiss with you, Alasdair-san? I sense remorse, anger and pain." The Japanese woman stood for nothing but perfection and her every movement perfected absolute grace and perfection themselves. She was very serene and extremely beautiful, her wise, coffee brown eyes all knowing and at complete ease with herself and the world, focused, tranquil.

Veroen did not move, and his face turned into that of a serious frown. Once he saw Alasdair fire into the ground, he stood there as the bullet was consumed by darkness, and then seemed to appear out of nowhere, and split through the air, headed straight toward Veroen. Veroen's first reaction would have been to use his Assassin reflexes, and draw his katana, and slice the bullet in half.
However, Veroen felt no need to show off at this point, and knew the bullet would not hit him, so he stood there, as the bullet sent a rush of air past his neck, and passed him. Veroen closed his eyes, and whispered, "So be it." If alasdair was going to pull this s**t, then Veroen would not bother trying to reason with him. He was done with that. Veroen still had too much pride to do something that would make him look weak, and a fool. He stared at Alasdair, almost wishing that things were different now.
Anger began to manifest itself within the Vampire assassin, and he had the urge to do something violent, either to the Demons, or to Alasdair, to knock some sense into his old comrade.

Veroen turned around, to look at Meredith. He had a dark expression on his face. His hands found their way to Meredith's arms, and softly gripped them. "Leave it be, Meredith...." he said quietly. He appreciated her sticking up for him, but didn't want her to end up causing another conflict. If Alasdair retaliated, Veroen would not stand for it, and would protect her by fighting his old comrade.

Meredith felt horrible and as the bullets were shot into the ground only to reappear beside him she became concerned for a moment until she realized they were an issued warning shot. When she saw the haunting expression he wore she immediately fell silent and gently wrapped her arms around his neck from behind, her arms resting on his shoulders, her fingers lacing together and pulling him into her embrace. "I'm sorry," she whispered to him as she leaned her cheek against one of her forearms that rested on his shoulders. "This is my fault ... If I just hadn't been friggin' stupid on New Years none of this s**t would have happened ... If you want to go back to things the way they were before all this happened I'll understand. I know your coven and the members mean a lot to you."

Vroe hugged her back and whispered "No. This is his decision, not mine. He is arrogant now, and is not the person I once thought him to be." His face held a blank expression now. On the inside, fury grew. He did not show it, however, for he didn't want Meredith to see it.
He looked back towards Alasdair, with an unfriendly expression. This was stupid to Veroen. He couldn't believe that his comrade was going to do this. However, Veroen did not linger on it. When the time came, one day, he would fight Alasdair, and he would not hold back. There were things Veroen hadn't shown anyone, abilities so to speak, and Alasdair would severely underestimate him when the time came, and it would lead to his downfall.

Alasdair kept his back to his enemies, under other circumstances that would be a challenge for them to attack but he knew that Veroen would not attack him. His eyes were shut, his breathing was slowly returning to normal and his mind was clearing. He did not regret turning against Veroen, he deserved it for his betrayal, but a grin grew on his lips as Edith began to speak against him.
He was amused with the human trying to understand ordeals between centenarians. Alasdair did not care who he chose to love, since vampires loved for periods. All vampires loved for a few years then moved on, like everything that they do. Since they are truly eternal.
Then Veroen's little whore dared to throw a mere rock at him. That caused Alasdair to chuckle lightly, since the rock stopped in mid air as soon as it reached the darkness. A thin layer covered the rock and held it in the air, an instant later the pressure within the dark layer crushed the rock into dust. Then something else happened. Hideyo appeared out of the darkness beside him.
Instantly a soft smile flashed in his lips, lasting only a second and only for hideyo's eyes to see. He would be lying if he said that he was not relieved to see his ancient comrade beside him. He grinned as he heard the woman's soft and beautiful voice. "Nothing to worry about, just some goodbyes. " He replied to the woman after he turned in his heels, now facing Veroen and standing behind the Japanese vampire. "会えてうれしい" He whispered back in her native tongue.

Shinigami was intrigued by the Void using Vampire. He was strong, so it seemed. Shinigami then decided that he wanted Alasdair's soul for himself. Surely, his master would not mind a side project. He wanted to test this creatures strength, so he began to walk towards Alasdair, and the Female Vampire. As he walked, his leather trench coat dissolved into shadow, and his human-ish appearance was revealed: His eyes were consumed by blackness, and his body was wrapped in hellish strands of black cloth, and a gasmask was connected to his mouth, and a tube ran from it, and into his chest. Blackened wings of the fallen protruded from his back, and shadow leaked from his body like steam. He walked at an average pace, until he stopped about 10 yards away from Alasdair and the Vampire girl.
An expressionless gaze covered his face, and he stood there, staring at alasdair.

"I think the stress of the media being about is getting to a lot of the races because there seems to be divisions and pressure to act now as opposed to later. No one's thinking things through, no one's remaining calm and this is turning into one huge hell of a mess ... Maybe they'll listen to me, I'm a hunter and I'm the most senior hunter around these days. I'm up and running as haven's representative and maybe I can talk some sense into the media and get the FBI to back off and tell them that we have it under control and that the FBI is just going to end up losing a ton of unecessary casualties. I'm a hunter but there's got to be a reason given before I hunt. People don't seem to understand this. This is just getting messier and messier ... and if your coven kicks you out or something retarded like that ... you're welcome to come to haven. You'll be safe there."

((No problem mate. Was it a good birthday?))
Veroen silently listened to Meredith explain this to him, and he wondered if it would come down to that. If his own Coven kicked him out, then he would not just go and wimper about it. In fact, he would probably go against them. He would probably end up becoming a hunter if things came down to it, something he hadn't thought could possibly happen, ever.
He nodded at her, acknowledging her offer, and hugged her tightly. He then heard footsteps, and turned around to see the mysterious demon approach Alasdair.
