Tomo suddenly seemed to really noticed the boy. He stared at him for a few moments, somehow reminded of Arlen. His red hair and everything... Of course he would think that. He just wanted him to come back, so of course he was see him in the boy. He snapped out of his daze and nodded, "How about some warm milk?" He suggested, getting some tea steeping for Guan as he went to the fridge for the milk. Once both were prepared, he brought them their respective drinks. "It looks like it's been a rough night... If you'll excuse me." He said, heading for the stairs. Perhaps looking in her room would be a good start. The cat boy took soft steps, his bare feet making gentle tapping noises on the wooden floor. He stopped in front of Lily's door and knocked softly. "Lily? Are you in there? Would you please come out? Guan is looking for you." he said softly.

Sam leaned back on his hands. "If you think you're trash, then you really must be trash. You're not any better than you let yourself be. Terrible people exist because they believe they are terrible." He looked back to her, "Of course, the way to defend yourself leads me to believe you're lying... But liars piss me off."

The boy mumbled a sleepy thank you as he took the milk in both hands and sipped at it carefully.

"Thank you," Guan said, more clearly as he took the tea and sipped it slowly for different reasons than the child.

Tomo stared at Cerri for a few moments before finally letting his tears fall. "I'm sorry!" He cried throwing himself on her in a hug. "I didn't know! All this time and I didn't know!" He muttered in the woman's shoulder, gripping the back of her shirt. "I'm sorry." He whispered, slowly working up the courage to let go. He wiped his eyes and tried on a smile, "G-Guan's downstairs." he said, pointing to the door.

Sam nodded and stood up. "I'm tired," he announced as if he hadn't been listening. His eyes said otherwise, though. "Talk to you some other time, Fraulein Annoying." He said as he walked towards the door with a smug smile. "Good night."

Cerri hugged Tomo back fiercely; she didn't have any tears left to cry, or she probably would have started again as well. "It's okay." she whispered as he pulled back, offering another of those weak smiles. "I... should have told you. But I couldn't leave her." she looked over her shoulder at Lily, who was crying out softly for Arlen in her sleep. "Can you... stay with her, just while I go talk to him, please?" she asked Tomo quietly.

Tomo nodded, "Of course, of course." He said with an even bigger nod. He looked over at Lily's restless form and sat down on the bed beside her, reaching over to stroke back her hair from her face. "Go ahead." He whispered to Cerri, pulling his legs up to his chest.

Sam just smirked and eyed Kaden curiously. "Ah, it was just me you heard." He said, sitting down on the edge of the bed. His voice was soft and he held it at a more feminine level than before, tucking him in with a maternal smile. "So go back to sleep, okay?"

"Cerri," Guan said softly, standing and walking over to embrace her. "I'm sorry I wasn't there for you."

The little boy stepped out of the bathroom and walked up behind Guan, tugging on his robe to get his attention.

Turning to the kid and reluctantly releasing Cerri, Guan bent down and picked the boy up again. "There's a lot I need to tell you," he said softly, turning back to face her. "But for now I need to know how Lily is coping before I find a bed for the boy and hopefully one for myself as well."

"I understand... you had things to do." Cerri whispered, though she desperately wished he hadn't had to let her go. "We can easily get him a room... and you can sleep in my bed. I need to stay with Lily. She's... she's not doing well, Guan." she admitted softly, sounding worried. "I don't know how to help her."

Lily's peaceful expression faded, sorrow and fear taking residence there again. Her eyelids fluttered, and then she looked up at Tomo, already crying again. "Tomo... it hurts..." she whispered. "I don't know how to keep going without him..." Still unable to let go of the harness or she would have hugged him, she instead leaned into the hand on her forehead as she sobbed.

"Yes... come on." Cerri murmured, watching the boy a moment before turning to the stairs. "Why don't you both use my room for the night." she suggested quietly, heading for her door. "It... might be better. He seems attached to you..." When they reached the room, she opened it for Guan, biting her lower lip. "Goodnight, love." she whispered.
