Keegan was quite impressed by his Pokemon's prowess so far. Themis had certainly become strong since his evolution, and Keegan couldn't be more proud of the first Pokemon he'd ever captured. I bet Helios would be impressed too, he thought, remembering how close the two had been. He figured it had been because they'd known each other the longest.
"Go through it!" Keegan shouted, slashing his left hand through the air. "Quick Attack! Let's finish that pipsqueak!" He didn't know how much stamina Themis had remaining, but he wasn't about to go down another Pokemon, regardless of how much Kasiya's first had been weakened.
The light of the icy orb was reflected in Themis's eyes as he raced towards it, and he howled as it overcame him, filling his lean body with a devastating chill. He kept going though, his long legs carrying him gracefully through blue orb with ease, and he lowered his head, preparing to attack the Jolteon once more.

Flash hadn't been prepared at all for the blue and yellow blur that came dashing at him from through the icy sphere. If it had hurt Themis, the Manectric wasn't letting anyone know about it. The larger Pokemon careened into the Jolteon, sending the latter tumbling across the ground for another solid hit. Flash looked up weakly at his opponent, struggling to get to his feet. His legs wouldn't cooperate though, and he collapsed back down onto his belly, breathing heavily. "Flash!" Kasiya cried, running to her Pokemon's side. Flash whimpered softly, the spikes on his body slowly settling and becoming soft fur again. Kasiya stroked his head and smiled. "You did your best, buddy. Don't worry about it." He closed his eyes, and Kasiya returned him to his Pokeball. "You're doing pretty good too, Themis," Kasiya told the Manectric from over her shoulder as she returned to her battle position. But let's see you overcome this! "Digger, it's your turn! Attack with Fury Swipes!"
The Sandslash materialized before her, claws raised and ready for battle. He dashed towards Themis, preparing to lash into his opponent with his sharp claws.

Yet another nasty swearword tumbled from Keegan's mouth at the sight of the Sandslash, and he realized that he hadn't even known that Kasiya had owned one. What other surprises does she have lying in wait for me? he thought, wincing as the ground type tore into Themis with its sharp claws. And again Themis's electric attacks are no good! "Bite it!" he hollered, standing firm. He wasn't about to let on how worried he was for his Pokemon, lest he give Kasiya yet another advantage over him. Hang in there, Themis, he thought, watching his Pokemon dash in for the attack. The Manectric growled, looking for a spot on the Sandslash's tough hide to sink his teeth into as he neared his opponent.

"Tsk tsk Keegan, such language!" Kasiya teased, waggling a finger at him. "You kiss your mother with that mouth?" She laughed a bit, feeling a bit of confidence returning to her. She knew this could end very quickly if she wanted it to.
Digger stood strong, narrowing his eyes as the Manectric's teeth tore into the soft flesh under one of his forelegs. He didn't cry out or even flinch from the attack, only took a few steps back, glaring at the Electric-type. "Hit him with your Crush Claw!" he heard Kasiya call out to him, and he got low to the ground, swiping upwards at the Pokemon before him. His claw glowed with pure energy with the attack, leaving a white streak behind it as it moved through the air.

The attack hit like an uppercut, and as a result, Themis was flung through the air like a rag doll. He regained his composure before hitting the ground though, and was able to land gracefully on his feet. His jaw ached from the attack, and he suddenly felt very vulnerable in front of the Sandslash. There was a noticeable quiver in his stance now, but he refused to give in. He barked sharply, awaiting his next command.
Keegan just growled at Kasiya's comment, choosing to ignore it completely. He wouldn't let his temper get the better of him during this battle, no way, no how. He knew that Themis's attacks would barely get through the Sandslash's defenses, and with his electricity being useless, this put him in a very tight spot indeed. Keegan sighed, and held up a Pokeball. "Themis, return! You did well." The quadruped Pokemon vanished in a flash of red light, and Keegan placed the Pokeball back onto its place on his belt. "You're full of surprises, Kasi," he said, clicking his tongue. "Gotta admire that." He took a third Pokeball from his belt and held it up. "Now it gets serious! Althena, go! Ice Beam, now!"
The tall blue Golduck emerged from her Pokeball, slashing the air with her sharp claws. Keegan's orders rang through the air and she obeyed without question. The red jewel on her forehead shimmered as she opened her beak wide and fired the frosty ray at the Sandshrew. Who has the advantage now? he thought devilishly.

The panic on Kasiya's face became apparent at the sight of the Golduck, and she swallowed hard. Althena would be difficult to get past, especially now that Flash was unable to battle. The Sandslash let out a grunt, his claws flailing wildly as the icy beam smashed into him. Digger staggered back to his feet, glaring angrily at the Golduck. His body stung sharply from the icy patches that were now spread across him, and he could tell that he'd nearly been frozen solid by the attack. He stomped a foot down on the ground, ready for his turn.
"Are you all right?" Kasiya called out, knowing that the Sandslash was weak against Ice-based attacks. He didn't reply, only continued to stare at Althena. He had only a tiny amount of stamina left, but he didn't care. "Fine then," Kasiya sighed, toying with the ends of her hair. "Let's give 'em one big hit then! Earthquake!" Upon uttering the command, Kasiya braced herself. Digger was small, but he was good at making the earth shake beneath him.
The Sandslash let out a cry and jumped up, doing a spin and coming down quickly with both his front arms extended. His claws slammed the pavement, and more cracks formed as the earth began to tremble and shake.

(Sorry for making you wait so long Max. Probably for a crappy post to! Oh well! Heh I type faster then this poor computer can keep up with.)
Robin who was still for the most part not all together there just stared at Kilik from her seat blankly for a few seconds. Finally realising what he wanted she blushed slightly and grabbed her stuff and Luffy who was licking a plate clean. Rushing over to him she grinned slightly as she slung her bag onto her back. "Sorry about that! You don't want anything? Breakfast is the most important meal of the day you know. That and if I skip it Luffy will kill me."
Under her arm Luffy squirmed trying to get free from her grasp so he could go steal food from other tables. Unfortunately for him Robin was wise to his little games and just tightened her grip.
"We aren't to far from Elm's lab so we should be able to make it there in a few hours if less as long as no one interrupts us." Knowing her luck though they would probably be abducted by aliens or something. Or Luffy would steal something accidentally and Robin would have to work off the bill. These things happened a lot.

((Holy god I finally summoned the will to post this one. xD))
"Alright, it's time to do this Annie!" Lisa cheered as a Great Ball appeared seemingly from no where and was flung on what was to be their battlefield. A rather tall and impressive Xatu was released. The bird wobbled to and fro in the wind, then thrust its colorful patterned wings outwards to balance itself all while maintaining constant eye contact with the opposing trainer.
Mike shuttered at the statuesque Pokemon. Kinda creepy. Does it even blink? The boy thought to himself as he attempted to decide which Pokemon to battle with. "Nitro, Portabello and Titanium are pretty much all set for now in terms of levels, Nitro most of all." He winked at his now lounging Charizard, who just gave him a thumbs up in agreement of his current strength. "Then that leaves Xanthos, Beacon and Felsic." All of those Pokemon were near identical levels, and any of them would be good choices for this particular Pokemon. After a moment he just juggled them and tossed one out, enjoying the randomness of his choice. (Even though he kinda knew who who he was releasing due to the type of Pokeball he threw) To his "surprise", Felsic was released, the eager Typhlosion stamping his feet in excitement of the coming battle.
Lisa twirled her parasol curtly. "Annie, use your Night Shade!" The Xatu made a few gestures with its wings, a dark and slightly spooky aura radiated outward. Felsic could feel the cold darkness surround him, and a chill was sent up his spine. The wave made him feel almost sick, as he coughed and convulsed for a moment before the attack subsided.
"Felsic, use your Flame Wheel! Show her the real way to attack!" Managing to shake off the feeling of dizziness, the nimble Typhlosion leaped into the air, the flaming mane on his neck surrounding his entire body. With almost terrifying speed Felsic launched forward on all fours, slamming his fire enveloped body into the Psychic bird. Lisa let out a short gasp, the attack did some damage, but Annie was far from finished. The Xatu twirled in place, regaining its balance. Strangely enough, even though it was a bit mangled from the attack, its eyes showed no sense of pain or uneasiness. Mike began to feel severely creeped out by this Pokemon.
"Annie, let's show that boy that we can hit hard too!" The slender girl commanded, her pale face beginning to puff up with a tint of red. Wordlessly the Xatu stretched out its wings and began to soar high into the sky until it was a blob against the sun.

Mike thought hard about the situation at hand. He knew that while Typhlosion had higher defense than most Fire Pokemon, it still was nothing to be completely confident about. Should I go for the defensive or the evasive? The latter strategy was more risky, but it also allowed for Felsic to not receive any damage. "What the hell, I'm a risk taker." The boy said to himself. "Felsic, use Smokescreen! Make yourself disappear!" Taking in a deep breath, the Volcano Pokemon began to exhale dark clouds of smoke from both his mouth and the pores on his neck. In a matter of seconds his figure had vanished inside the thick gas.
Lisa twirled her parasol in order to knock away some wayward smoke that had drifted her way, squinting in hopes to see her opponent's Pokemon. "Annie, use Fly, try to hit him inside the smoke!" The Xatu shifted in the air, and began to descend at breakneck speed, aiming for the center of the smoke cloud.
"Quick Felsic, dodge it!" Mike cried out, hoping his Pokemon could react in time. He watched the cloud of black smoke, and was relieved when his Typhlosion burst out just seconds before Annie's attack could connect. "Sweet!" The boy cheered in triumph.
Lisa began to stamp her foot in anxiety, and really started to get into the fight. "Alright Annie, it's time to pull out all the stops, use your Psychic attack!" Its eyes glowing a bright blue tint, the same glow wrapping itself around Felsic. Annie then thrust its wings upward, causing the Typhlosion to be lifted into the air with due force, only to be slammed downward with equal power. Dirt burst outward from the impact, and Felsic scrambled to regain his footing.
Mike winced at the attack, and was reminded of his little Magby Napalm. That reminds me, I need to train him more for my next match with Kilik. "Okay, time to get hot Felsic, use Flamethrower!" The boy commanded with vigor, shooting a small bit of flames from his glove as an added bit of flare.
Felsic took another deep breath, but instead of shooting a straight stream of fire, he became enveloped in a flaming cocoon, similar to when he evolved. The fire wrapped around his body with intense heat, causing the ground beneath him to smoke and char. The Typhlosion let out a roar, shooting a wall of flame in every direction, causing the entire battlefield vegetation to be destroyed in the process. The attack slammed into Annie, who's little quirk of bobbing in place when struck proved to be an intense bout of misfortune, as instead of being pushed by the flames, it was completely overtaken by them. and wavered back and forth inside the heated attack. Annie flailed around in hopes to put out the flames, and eventually threw some of the charred dirt on itself with its psychic powers. The Xatu was now visibly exhausted and pained, but its eyes remained unchanged. "What in the heck was that?" Mike wondered, surprised that a Fire move performed by a Pokemon he knew almost everything about was something unknown to him. He shrugged it off, making a mental note to look it up later. Lisa shrieked, commanding it to perform a Wish attack to regain its health.
"Not going to happen!" Mike shouted, clenching his fist in excitement. "Felsic, finish it off with Crush Claw!" Thankfully Wish needed two turns to activate, something he wasn't allowing this Pokemon the luxury of. Felsic lowered himself to the ground and lunged forward, his right paw emitting a trail of white light. The white scarf on his arm began to glow as the Typhlosion kicked off the ground and reared his large paw back, slamming it into the opposing Pokemon. Annie had enough, and began to wobble weakly to the side, and finally closing its eyes.
"Return Annie, you did good." Lisa said with a bit of disappointment in her voice, recalling her Pokemon back into a Great Ball. "Not bad Mike, your Pokemon is impressive. Felsic smirked smugly in agreement.
"Oh I love Felsic, he's an excellent Pokemon and companion." He smiled, flashing back to the moment when he hatched, a tear almost creeping up on him. "He's been very good to me all this time, and I can't wait to grow stronger with him." Oh, where were his manners. "I liked your Pokemon too Lisa!"
"Thanks!" The girl giggled, reaching in her purse for her second Pokemon to battle with. "Alright, back to the battle!"
"Okay Felsic, you can take a break now, you did awesome!" Mike gave his loyal Pokemon a kiss on the forehead and a pat on the back before going back to his choice of what Pokemon to use next. The Typhlosion then playfully charged the now dozing Nitro and body slammed him awake, much to the dragon's alarm.

Kilik walked with the girl out of the cafeteria and out of the Center. "I'll be fine without eating," he stated, "I've gone days without eating before. It's not good for me, but it would explain why I'm so lanky." He took up Elekid's Pokeball and tossed it up into the air. With a flash, the plug was once again on the outside. Excitedly, he climbed up Kilik's shoulder and rested on his head much like he usually did.
"A few hours, huh?" he whispered, "Alright that should work out just nicely." He started walking towards the Route that lead out of Cherrygrove headed towards New Bark Town. Elekid glanced over at Luffy, smiling brightly. He really enjoyed the company of another Pokemon roughly his size. All of Kilik's Pokemon were big brutes who never paid him any mind when they were all together. One day, though, he dreamed that his evolution would let him hang out with the big boys. "It's possible that after we get our PokeDex, Elm can analyze my Pokemon," he placed a hand on his chin as they walked. "As my journey's progressed, I've been up to speed with all the moves my Pokemon know. Yet recently, they've been showcasing moves I've never seen before. Things I can't explain with mere books. It'll take a professor to figure it out."
His plans were set. First, PokeDex and his Pokemon's analysis. Then, Goldenrod City.

The sudden force of the ground shaking and trembling send Keegan tumbling to his knees, and he grunted as he used his already scraped palms to keep himself from landing on his face. A few choice words escaped his lips as he stood up, but they were mostly in the praising sense. He glanced to Althena, who was also getting to her feet. The Golduck looked a bit shaken up, which was understandable, but at least she hadn't injured herself when she fell to the ground. "That's a pretty impressive Sandslash," he called out, realizing then that his anger had began to subside. Pokemon battles were excellent outlets for venting this kind of energy, and he was suddenly feeling quite energetic and generally good overall. "Maybe we should call it quits now, you know, before we cause any more destruction?" he asked, gesturing to the heavily damaged pavement. It seemed this area was a popular choice for Pokemon battles, because the concrete was lighter and newer-looking in this square when compared to other parts of the streets nearby. Althena scoffed and crossed her arms over her chest, looking annoyed. She wanted more than anything to crush that spiky ball of a Pokemon before her, and it was even worse knowing that she could. The Earthquake had packed quite a punch, but she wasn't finished yet. She began to tap her foot impatiently while she waited for the humans to sort out their affairs and decide what to do next.

Digger stood rooted to the spot for a moment, and then toppled over. It had taken every last ounce of energy inside of him to pull off that Earthquake, and now he was completely spent. Kasiya sighed, and recalled the exhausted Sandslash into his Pokeball. "Yeah, that's a good idea," she said, clipping it to her belt. "I don't have any Pokemon that could take on Althena and stand a chance. Draw, then?" she said, walking towards Keegan and the Golduck, a small smile on her face. Well, Flash probably could have beaten her if he was healthy, but that wasn't the case. Rosemary was still too young to battle with an experienced Pokemon like Althena. "I'm sorry I got so upset," she said, once she'd reached the duo, hanging her head slightly. "I'm just... sorry." Her hair tumbled down around her face, framing her cheeks and forehead. Her bandanna had come loose during the fight, and she pulled it off and tucked it into her pocket, not wanting to fix it right away. "We should hit the Pokemon center and then continue on our way, right?" She looked up at Keegan again, small tears threatening to leak down her cheeks.

Keegan nodded, and recalled Althena as Kasiya reached him. He didn't like the way that the Golduck was looking at her anyway. "A draw is fine." He was silent then, not really sure what to say next. Sure, she'd overreacted, but he hadn't exactly helped the matter either. Sometimes he hated himself for having such a temper, but he sighed, and smiled, watching the wind gently toss Kasiya's blonde hair about. He much preferred to be battling with her rather than against her. But it didn't matter now, as both parties seemed to have come to their senses.
He moved a bit closer to her, and gently wiped away a tear that had started to creep down her cheek. "Sorry for what?" he asked, still smiling. He wrapped his arms around her and kissed the top of her head. "We both got carried away, but it's all right now. Let's just go to the Pokemon Center, get our Pokemon healed then be on our way, all right?"

A feeling of security and comfort overcame Kasiya as Keegan took her into his arms. It was like some sort of forcefield or shield had encompassed her, and was blocking out all the negative energy. She rested her head against him, and closed her eyes. "Yeah, it'll work out just fine," she said, sighing contentedly. As much as she wanted to stay there and let him hold her, she knew that their Pokemon were in need of healing, and that they should get on their way if they wanted to get to Saffron anytime soon. Luckily the Pokemon Center was right around the corner.
The feeling of safety disappeared as she stepped back from Keegan, but she could still feel the comfort as she gazed into his green eyes. "Let's get a move on, then." She smiled up at him, and pointed in the direction they had to go before she began to lead the way once more. She thought it to be a bit amusing that once they reached Hoenn, Keegan would be the one doing all the leading.

He didn't want to let go either, but he did, and he followed after Kasiya as she began to lead the way to the Pokemon Center. It wasn't like he didn't know where it was; he could see the familiar red-roofed building from where they were now. He jogged a bit to catch up to her, and tried to be subtle as he took her hand in his. Everything felt right as he walked along beside her, and even the scenery around them seemed to be a little brighter and more colourful (at least to him, anyways). They reached the center in little time, and Keegan led Kasiya through the sliding doors. The place was relatively empty, and he gestured to the front desk. "Ladies first," he said, grinning. He knew she'd probably say something about her not really being a lady, but he didn't care. He waited patiently for his turn to come around, wondering just how long it would take them to walk to Saffron. If only her bike hadn't been ruined, he though sadly, but let it go. At least it meant they'd be spending a lot of time together.
