Hey, I've been wondering:
What would happen if a clarinet player was drum major and they got a field solo(I wish!)
I mean, we have to have holes in our gloves, but I have tried conducting with holey gloves and it felt real weird, lus it looked funny. I mean, i guess you could wear holed gloves underneath non-holed gloves, but that would be a lot of work...

MezzoPianoX I feel indifferent about my instrument. I love bass clarinet , but I just dont like playing Bb during marching band ..contradiction >> i don't really see how that is a contradiction....

By size do you mean hardness? If so I've been playing on 3 1/2 though I'm intending to switch to fours soon. I've been playing for almost two years.

some companies will take reed sizes up to 5...and i'm sure you can get stiffer reeds if you want.

im using 3 and a1/2'S.....,and yes you want to to be able to playeasily, have a good tone, and keep your sound under control.so if you can do that stay where you are if you are too loud but still have good tone, move up.simple as that.
