Finally after an hour of walking around and having nearly getting lost twice Akane made it to the docks. Now she simply needed to decide where she would go. She headed towards the sign that had a list of the villages the boatman would taker her to but her sight left her once again. It would seem the demon had it in its mind that it wanted to choose their new destination. She was in no mood to argue so she waited for it to speak which she knew wouldn’t take long.
Since you seek to better yourself child, go to the Hidden Mist village. There is much you could learn from there.
For once, he had a decent idea so she was going to take full advantage of it. Plus if the place proved to be a waste of time, she could always leave. Without further delay, she walked to the boatman and purchased her ticket after telling him where it was she wished to go.

Ikkoku had stayed at the docks overnight because of his difficulty in deciding where he wanted to go. His villiage was gone, so he'd have to complete his ninja training elsewhere. Well, technically that wasn't true. The teachers were still around and could continue to teach everyone in a small shack if necessary. Still, he DID like the idea of "having to study abroad". If anything, it was a good excuse to travel to new places, meet new people (preferably girls), and learn new jutsus. He should think of it as an opportunity to go on vacation. It wouldn't be the first time he played hookie, after all.
He was still having difficulty chosing where he wanted to spend his free time when he saw a cute girl walking onto the boat headed towards the Hidden Mist Villiage. Eh, what the hell. It was a spur of the moment decision to come to the docks in the first place, so why not continue his streak of spontaneity? Buying a ticket for the same boat, Ikkoku boarded, hoping for a bit of excitement in the near future.
