Sighing River walked towards the door she hated how people thought knocking was needed it was a bloody Inn for cying out loud. Opening the door she blinked, paused in her thoughts. Sasori, the boy Kaden cleverly named turned to look at well being held in her arms. He might be six but that didn't mean he didn't enjoy behing held. He was silent in watching, "Um yes?"

"Thank you," Guan said quietly as he stepped into the inn, nodding to the boy in his arms. "Didn't want to wake him."

Tomo nodded, smiling, "It seems it's on the Twenty first of December. I'd love it if you would come." He said, perking his ears as he heard the knock. He sighed, "Knockers..." He murmured as he pulled open the door, "Welcome to the De-- Ah! Guan-san, right?" He said, pulling the door open. He was much quieter now that he had seen the sleeping child. "Do you need anything?"
Sam nodded and arched an eyebrow at the scene. Was Tomo really that stupid not to notice how angry River looked? Stupid blonde neko... He sighed and filled a glass with water for himself before taking a long gulp. "Ahh. Refreshing." He sighed walking out into the main room. "What's the matter with you?" He asked River bluntly, quiet enough that the busy Tomo wouldn't hear.

"Here, come with me, help me with them please?" She asked holding Sasori out the Six year old blinked he was tiny, compaired the the seven year old sleeping kaden who she would pick up after Same Takes Sasori away from her."You see I love these children Have it that they are not my own. "Good evening Tomokazu," Guan greeted the man, taking a seat at the bar for convenience only. "I'm alright, but do you know how Lily is doing?"

Sam blinked as he took the child in his arms. His arms were thin, but supported the child easily. "Umm... Hello." he greeted with a weak smile before looking up at River, "Right! I'd never hurt a child no matter who it belonged to!" He said, eyes wide.
Tomo smiled and looked to the stairs. "I haven't seen or heard from Lily in several days. Why? Is she hurt?"

"No," Guan said, looking at Tomo, concern evident in his eyes. "Tomokazu, Arlen died several days ago," he said as softly as he could, he had expected that everyone would have noticed, he could see it from the mountain.

At the mention of Lily River frowned now, now her Deep Anger and upset surface as only for a moment but when she quickly regained her calm facade` just for the sake of Kaden and the boy, Sasori-tenma. "Um, Lily hasen't woken up for quite the time." River said to Guan not expecting the Cat boy to know that and if he did good for him. It was hard, to keep her calm, especialy if your anger is like water, and you are trying to control and dam it when you can't. It's rage was dark and the water was black, steaming with heat. Oh how she loathed her Manic feelings. Turning her Gaze to Sam she nodded slowly picking Kaden up and patting the poor half neko boy's head. The Dirty read head on the other hand, cringed at the contact. At first he was so scared of the man, he trembled and when River spoke he eased into his arms. He didn't answer him. No need to seeing as River spoke. He felt safe. " He, Doesn't talk so we call him Sasori, he doesn't seem to mind it at all. And I expected as much from you. Not hurting children. I'd have to kill you here and now if you where lying to me." She said calmly enough walking towards the stairs. "come." She said flatly starting up them.

Tomo froze. His expression was calm, but cold adrenaline had exploded from his heart. "Died...?" His hoarse voice was nearly a whisper. Those few days ago... When he asked about paying his debt... It was really a goodbye? His heart started to beat faster. Why didn't he know? His own friend and he didn't know when he was dying. Hell, why didn't Arlen tell him? All of these thoughts went on behind an expressionless face. "I see." He said finally. "I... I should help you find Lily. She doesn't need to be alone at a time like this."
Sam huffed and walked after River, "I'm not going to be your personal servant, you know." He muttered as he followed her up the stairs. "I've got better things to do than being your dog."

"Asleep where?" Guan asked River when she mentioned Lily.
Quietly he nodded to Tomo. "I thought you would have known. Lily will know more about what happened than I would though."

River stopped okay he was pushing it and this was bound to get him in trouble with her, though he didn't realize she was pushing his buttons did he? "You Are not a Dog, I Never said you where. Like I'd waste my time training a worthless hunk of flesh like yourself to be a Dog." She hissed out kicking her door open in anger, It could of snapped in half and River could of gotten pushed a little further over the edge then she was already being shoved. It swung with violent force hit the wall came bouncing back only to be stopped by her foot. Kaden sturred but didn't wake, she was glad. The red head flinched wiggling in his arms to let him loose. "Put him on the bed..please.." She said her voice extremely calm, as she set kaden down and waited for him. All the anger she would express wasn't towards him. He was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. She rubbed her head, "Sorry...about that...I'm not mad at you..." She growled out not being able to contain herself well at this point.

Tomo's ears went extremely limp, "I thought I would have known... I guess... I'm not as omniscient as I hoped." He almost half joked, but there was no laughter to his eyes or lips. He sighed, "You must be exhausted. Let me make you something," He said, shuffling behind the bar.
Totally oblivious...
What was worse than knowing your friend was about to die?
Never knowing until it was too late.
Sam walked into the room and gently set the child down next to Kaden. "I'm very grateful that you're helping me, Fraulein, but you're really annoying." He said as if it were a normal conversation. He sat down on the end of the bed and smiled, "Yet somehow I always end up in this room."

Lily was, at the moment, asleep in the room she'd shared with Arlen. Cerri, who looked like she hadn't slept in days was at her side, deep circles under her good eye, cheeks stained with tear tracks as she kept vigil over her younger half. Clutched in Lily's arms was the harness Arlen had been wearing that night; her hold on it hadn't relaxed at all, despite how limp the rest of her body was.

River rubbed her head, what a strange boy- bold more like it. She simmered down a little glad there conversation was slowly being flipped away. "And? Is my Room that bad?" She asked looking around for a moment. "Okay maybe to some people it is." She said sharply to herself crossing her arms. Quiet, this was better then bubbling into further anger downstairs. "Shoot.." River mumbled softly closing her eyes. "That man asked where Lily was. I ignored him. What trash am I?" She asked rubbing her temple with her forefinger. Indeed the woman was moved but she had a good guess to where the girl was, Did the Man not realize that?

"I could use a cup of tea," Guan said, looking to the boy in his arms as he stirred. "How are you?" he asked the child softly.
"I'm thirsty," the boy mumbled, drowsily rubbing his eye as Guan set him down in the stool next to him.
"Alright," Guan said, looking to Tomo. "Could you get him something that won't keep him up?"
