"Well I won't be," Meredith said rather childishly as she crossed her arms, sort of around her stomach as if to protect it from some unseen force, "too horribly sad if he ends up being a selfish b*****d that refuses to come. I still don't trust that he'll try to eat my kid and put it in a stew while he flexes in front of the mirror and sings to himself off key because he can't actually sing ..."

(( I still love LOTR but I'm not a fanatic ... I especially loved Legolas and friggin' put a framed picture of him on my desk everyday in elementary ... And I went absolutely ballistic and had to walk out of the theatre for a moment when Haldir died ... sweatdrop ))

Veroen then became aware of a slight problem. He looked at her with a concerned expression. "Now Eden, you can't go talking like that to the Alpha...I'm serious. You could provoke him and that thing we saw in the subways, it could come out in Jaden, and then we would be in a shitload of trouble...I'm serious." He walked up to her. "You will have to show just a bit of respect to him. He is not to be underestimated. He has a very short temper...So for both our sakes, please don't have an attitude towards him. If he chooses to help, then it would be appropriate to thank him properly." Veroen said these words, knowing that this had to be done like this.

Eden rolled her eyes at the thought of having to be nice to Jaden but she knew that she was able to do it. At the very least she would be grateful to him and would owe him that much. "I won't talk to him like that but that doesn't mean I can't think he's a jerk because he is. Yeah, yeah, I'll thank him because my kid will owe it's life to him and I'll owe my life to him too ... Ew ... that's not gonna be fun ... I'll owe him and I don't like him ... I'm not going to start a fight with him ..." She then smiled and winked at him mischeivously, "At least not until after he makes me a lycan."

Veroen was curious as to whether or not Eden would have to obey Jaden since he was the Alpha. He decided not to ay anything however, because he didn't want her to have any concerns about that.
He smiled at her, and walked up closer to her, giving her a quick kiss. "I know. I can't belive I'm going through with this..." he said with a subtle sigh. "Never in my 600 years of existence had I ever hought I would be here in this situation, asking the Lycan Alpha for help, or even the fact that I have fallen in love with a girl that is carying a baby Lycan, and going to burn changed into one herself. Life has a way of showing irony..." he said with a slight shake of his head, though his smile did not disappear.

Veroen was right in assuming to keep the fact that she might have to join Jaden's pack if she became a lycan because she had absolutely no plans of joining his pack or listening to him. It likely just would have riled her up and brought her unease as opposed to comfort, which probably wasn't the smartest idea at the moment. Such thoughts would just distract her and cause her to make a fuss of everything all over again, partly because she was scared and partly because she wasn't pleased.
"Well never in my twenty years of existence had I ever thought I would be here in this situation with my vampire boyfriend banged up by an a** hole lycan waiting to see if his a** hole pack leader is willing to help me out or not. I guess it just goes to show that love has no restrictions and you can fall in love with even the things you think you hate most. Hopefully the whole baby thing won't be earth-shattering but I don't exactly think I'm ready to be a mom and I don't think I ever planned to be one ... Hunters ... it's just out of character to have kids when you live life like that ..."

Veroen nodded in agreement to her statement. 'Whats taking him so long...?' he thought to himself, worry beginning to manifest itself in the back of his mind. He took out his cell phone and debated on calling Siberius to see what was the hold up. He hesitated, still holding his phone.

(( Sorry about the massive delay. I got all caught up with work.)) “Yes, I still very much want to get away from here.” She replied, her tone a low, unpleased mumble as she glanced around the park. When she had first traveled to this city, the park was the only place she thought to find solitude and peace of mind. Compared to the rest of the horrid city, this the park was a level quieter and there hadn't nearly used to be so many others wandering along the paths. It seemed that was different now, considering the number of creatures scents that she could catch lingering upon the breeze. As of late, the park also seemed a little too overrun with dogs for Cosette's impeccable taste. She was just going to have to find herself somewhere new to relax and calm herself. “ I don't want to be here any longer. I have a headache, and there is a bullet in my knee and oh god, My clothes are all dirty and bloody. “ She tugged at those luscious curls out of habit, growing anxious just thinking about all that was wrong and how horribly wrong her night had gone. She just wanted to go home, tear off these horrible clothes and figure out how the hell to extract a bullet from her knee. She glanced at Aiden, urging him with a small tug of her hand to hint that she really did want to leave. dark_diablo_descendant Aiden didn't really have a point or purpose to what he was doing, he just decided to play along and apparently he'd chosen to play along by showing her that he could be decent as well. This was a rare occasion where he actually genuinely found someone interesting and they weren't just a toy to him or someone to use in order to benefit himself and gain something he wanted. No. Cosette was something else aside from that but what exactly he had yet to figure out. However, he didn't really intend to figure it out and instead planned to live or not live in the moment and see exactly where this little vampire was going to take him. An adventure? She seemed promising enough for one of those. All in all something had him interested in her that made him willing to play her game and go along with a few things. She was certainly fortunate for that. Being a little more open than Cosette, Aiden found he could tolerate certain kinds of modern music in short periods of exposure. He didn't particularly care for the loudness either since it mostly made the music sound careless and quite often songs of this age forgot that they were supposed to tell as story as opposed to just be there for noise. Silly effects were added as well and more than anything guitars seemed to reign throughout this age. It was nearly impossible to come across a popular song to this age that did not have a guitar in it and this slightly disappointed Aiden but he'd somewhat adapted due to the fact he'd suffered from exposure to it. Aiden's golden eyes were trained better than an eagle's or hawk's and he spotted her beguiling smile even before it came. As opposed to looking at her smile, though, his golden eyes met her baby blue ones though they held absolutely no emotion or expression whatsoever, there was an absense of everything but nothing itself as he locked gazes with her. His flawless hand held her dainty one loosely so as not to harm the girl though he wondered whether they'd have to leave now or not. After all, the dog and pathetic excuse for a creature of the night had left them and with silence at that. The only other sounds he detected were far off murmurs of two silly lovers. " Still wanting to leave? They graced us with their departure and the only beings remaining here aside from ourselves are a dim-witted couple.

Meredith just smiled tenderly at Veroen's obvious concern and stress but she wasn't prepared to worry just yet since she was certain the stupid Alpha would have to be convinced as to why he should come. She simply wrapped her arms around him, hugging him from behind and squeezing him to let him know that she was still there. "Stop worrying. I'm sure that everything's fine and it's not a huge, huge hurry or anything. Just chill."

Aiden simply smiled, amused that she was able to transition from an unbearable and ungrateful brat to an almost normal, typical person with a few exceptions, one of which being her manners. She was absolutely filthy and while he wasn't wholly inclined to touch her when she'd been bleeding so much he could always cleanse himself of such impurities later. Right now he figured he would stick it out to see what exactly this small vampire was about. She seemed a little ... darker than most and yet sdhe insisted upon giving off a very ... ammiable appearance for lack of better words. Effective in some situations he supposed but still odd. She was intriguing, that was certain and what exactly was going to come of this evening he certainly did not know.
When she tugged his hand that was gently grasping her own a subtle grin graced his angelic features, enhancing the fact that he was absolutely beguiling, beautiful. "Very well," his dulcet voice soothed, "where shall we take you, dear Cosette? Your residence, I presume?" His golden eyes looked down at her expectantly and patiently awaited her response, clearly in no hurry to go anywhere though he was certain she'd grow impatient soon enough. If she didn't grow impatient with him it'd only be because she was hoping to use him to get where ever it was she was needing to go.

If Cosette hadn't been fretting internally over the mess that was her appearance, she may not have missed that dashing grin from Aiden. If she had in fact caught that little movement, the stubborn and prissy little vampire might have been truly impressed with him. He seemed to possess a charm that nearly matched her own, though of course Cosette would claim she played the role much better. Blond curls and baby blue eyes just worked in one's favor oh-so well and she thought herself to be such a talented little actress. Right now, She was playing the whole, 'Woe is me' card, Even if it was to an extent the truth. Regardless, It was earning her exactly what she wanted seeing as how Aiden now appeared more than willing to dish out some of that fancy shadow magic and take her wherever she desired to go.
“My apartment. It's a bit far from here.” She muttered, over playing the distance with a pitiful little sigh. It was only far if she sought to get there by limping across town. Cosette could have simply taken a cab home and have been there by now, But she was petrified of those moving things. Little death traps, that's exactly what they were. She thought she was so lucky now, how perfect it was that a shadow user had popped right up to save her from her dilemma. She was so thrilled to be going home that she didn't even stop to considering the potential consequences of inviting over another vampire to her place. Aiden seemed decent enough, but considering what a lovely and charming front she could throw; Maybe Aiden was doing just that very thing to her. As usual though, Cosette was much too proud to admit that one measly little shadow user could deceive her.

Veroen looked a bit unconvinced. He was the one who was trying to convince her to trust in Lycans, now he was the one who needed reassurance. He sighed, and put his hands on top of hers as they were wrapped around him. He smiled gently at her action.
