It's simple, but the color choice is something that really sparks interest.

It doesn't seem very well coordinated, and there is some clutter, but some color patterns are visable, and the overall theme (not color-wise) is oddly amusing.

@Dr_jelly: I was only asking if I could be rated by someone other than you, and I never asked you to give me perfect 10's(I did get to hear other people's opinions/suggestions after a while, though, which was a bit refreshing). "Accused" seems a little harsh and unnecessary to me-I only said that it didn't seem like anything I came up with could impress you. Your criticism seems to focus mainly on matching colors instead of the overall theme or look. To be honest, every time you would give me a rating, I would completely take my avatar apart afterward and make it different to see if it piqued your interest. However, I could never get anything higher than a 6/10, which I view as a grade on a test, in this case, a D, which is a failing grade. I wasn't exactly aware of your "grading system," per se, in which you say a 5 is 'average.' I agree that nobody is perfect, and I don't aim toward perfection. I'm satisfied with an 8 at most. I'm just saying it's a bit of a let-down when I put time and effort [and gold] into creating a new design or theme only to have it shot down time after time. To clarify, I don't have a problem with you rating my avatar, but being given the same rating by the same person repeatedly kind of gets tiring.
(I've gone ahead and improved it anyway though, to the best of my abilities.)

I do hope I'm allowed to rate you this time, as I haven't yet rated this "get-up" of yours; forgive me if I'm mistaken. As for my vague suggestions; you rarely suggest changes, and usually just write whether you like it or not. Also, you accused me of "not liking" any of your previous "get-ups" that I've rated, when that's not true at all! I feel unjustly insulted: if I don't rate you a ten every time, that doesn't mean I dislike your avatar. I mean, look at my rates for other people. I don't give everyone but you tens. In fact, I haven't yet given a ten in this thread, I think, because I hold to the belief that no one is perfect, and that a 5 is actually average. So as long as I give you over a 5, you can think of it as "I like your avatar," if you would prefer. Dx
Anyhow, for your avatar:
I think the glowing white thing in the middle looks out of place. If you want to keep the white (& more than on the claws, trim, and eyes), I suggest adding "blocks" of white near the head and feet. I use the word blocks only because the general amount of one color in an avatar should be consistent and balanced, and I believe you missed the mark in that area. Maybe some more black in the middle to prevent the frame effect, though the aforementioned white thing is blocking my view. Other than that, I think it's a well-balanced, creative avatar. 6/10
