Just not as a special Apocalypse battle formation. Leman Russ squadrons and companies can only be led by tanks of their own size and class. Baneblades form up in their own super-heavy squadrons.

Titans do not belong to the Space marines, but instead to the Legio Titanica. And yes, the Baneblade is very powerful, if not one of the most powerful land vehicles in the game.

The Baneblade was the all-purpose battle tank of the Great Crusade era. The Shadowsword was designed for titan killing, as is the plasma blastgun toting Stormblade. The Hellhammer and Stormsword are both infantry support / siege tanks.

The Imperial Guard tanks like the chimera are one of my favorite transports. The demolisher has a good armour point value.

True, the only disadvantage to the Demolisher comes from trying to get things in range of the Demolisher Cannon. And honestly, what's not to love about the Chimera? It has the most possible shots of any transport along with the second best Imperial transport capacity (under the Land Raider Crusader).

Honestly I never find myself having the Range issue with my Demo I just drive it right down the center and balst the biggest thing possible. Well somtimes at least it is somwhat of a flawed strategy but ive had a immobilized main gun down demo take out scores of enemy as the feebly tried to advance past it. I equip mine with the Multi Meltas for teh extra oomph against hard targets

I gotcha. I usually run Plasma Cannons/Lascannon on my Demolishers, but the point does remain. The fun thing is where you're aimed at a nearby bunch of targets (in my tested case: Assault Marines) and scatter an additional 6" of range onto the cannon and blow something better (tested case: Predator Destructor).

People tend to forget that with the Demolisher the sponsons and hull-mount are longer ranged than the main gun. I pack plasma cannons for both of my Demolisher tanks, best way to make the enemy really fear it.

As for the Chimera, it is the best transport vehicle in the game. Tau and eldar fags will disagree with their flying Devilfish and Wave Serpents, but they are filthy alien humping pricks. The Chimera can be tailored to fight a lot of things, facing a horde? Give it flamers. Facing heavy armoured troops? Give it an autocannon. The Rhino might be cheaper, but two storm bolters can do crap against a Chimera.

ON one of my chimeras I to the multi laser off and switch it for a lascannon, forge world makes a interior fully customized for the chimera. Which makes it look more realistic.

Um...wait, a Lascannon on a Chimera? I don't think that that's legal...

Actually, I know it isn't legal. What rule set are you using to justify that?

There are currently to my knowledge no rules for Chimeras with lascannons, they can only have the following:

- Multi-laser
- Heavy bolter
- Heavy flamer
- Twin-linked heavy bolter
- Autocannon
