Hikaru gave a mental sigh of relief as Xiadessa returned to her normal self, having had no idea what had been going on with the girl. As her brother walked off with his love, she gave a small smile, pleased for the two of them. Turning back to the others, she observed Xiariene try to do the same for her and Bardok. Nor did she miss the newfound closeness between Cyrus and Patwinka, and Koori and Asuka. It appeared they were all pairing off, it was quite cute.
As her gaze swept the area, Hikaru noticed one of their party missing: Kyosuke. Come to think of it, she hadn't seen him since arriving back at the beach. Closing her eyes, she searched for his aura. With the miasma gone, her senses were much clearer and so was able to locate him with ease. With everyone off doing their own thing, she supposed she had time to fetch their wandering companion. Pinpointing Kyosuke's aura with her mind, she teleported to his location. In a moment, she was with, or rather, on top of, Kyosuke as though she had fallen from the sky. The excitement of getting her teleportation powers back had made her forget to appear beside Kyosuke, rather than at his exact location.
"...Hi, Kyosuke-san..." ^^;

Kyosuke continued walking. The second un-named girl had broken off and went in a different direction. Kyosuke was just about to ask Shizue to show him around when he suddenly felt an impact on his shoulders. He was completely caught off guard. The scene changed from small huts and jungle to a crotch. He was surprised for a moment until she spoke. "Uh... hey Hikaru-san. Not that I mind or anything... But uh..." He figured that the miasma is gone now. Since the twins couldn't teleport before.

Souda, now couple of miles into the forest, ends up at a large tree that appeared to have a face on it. She looked at it for some time, looked away and looked at it again. Every time she looked away and looked back she could swear something had changed about the face but she couldnt tell what. SO she gave up and walked around it. Later, about 30 minutes or so later, she discovers a watering hole. Deciding she was walking for too long, she sits by the makeshift pool and dips her legs in it, first takin off her shoes and rolling up her pants.

Hikaru's cheeks colored a bit at her carelessly and disappeared to appear before Kyosuke, offering him a hand up.
"We missed you back at the beach so I thought I'd go look for you. Xiadessa came back so the miasma's gone though there's no hurry since everyone seems to have paired off and gone their separate ways for a bit...Umm..Where are we?"
Just now, Hikaru noticed their immediate surroundings: huts, oddly-dressed people...It appeared to be a village of sorts.

"From what I understand, it's a village people who got stranded here made. Though I guess the main language here is English. So it would be hard to communicate without her." He pointed over his shoulder as he dusted himself off. "And since the Miasma is gone they can all leave... somehow. I don't trust that pig guy anymore." A cold shutter shot down Kyosuke's spine as he recalled the landing and how they took off without a run way. "That pig is gonna get us killed."

Hikaru looked about, observing the people as they went about thei daily tasks. It was quite interesting how they had recreated their lives on an isolated island after losing an old one. She actually felt sympathy for them, and couldn't help but mentally scold the gods for creating such a dangerous place that involved the lives of innocents. Turning her gaze back to Kyosuke, her thoughts returned to the present.
"Guruha? Oh yes, I think we should elect a new pilot...Though as for the people here, with the miasma gone, rescue planes can come through and bring these people home."

"They'd have to be heavily armed attack helicopters to survive some of the stuff on this island. And I think it would be one hell of a shock. Some of the people were born here." He said with an exasperated sigh. "I'm one of those. My name is Shizue. I'm our villages best wyvern hunter." Shizue butted in. She pushed past Kyosuke extending her armor clad hand to Hikaru. Since the village chieftain was a westerner the culture was was too. "I never got a chance to introduce myself either. I'm Konno, Kyosuke. It's nice to meet you..." He trailed off stuck in the bow. She hadn't given her last name. "Oh right. Matsumoto. My family has been here for four generations. I don't know the story behind how we ended up here but we did along with about 10 other Japanese families." "Well it's nice to meet you Mastumoto-san." He finished bowing. She looked at him strangely. She hadn't been brought up with he family. Being a hunter meant being taught by Chieftain since a young age so she wasn't used to Japanese formalities.

Hikaru nodded, recognizing the sense in Kyosuke's words, "True, though would it be ok to leave them here? It's quite dangerous, as you've said, and what happens when the island reaches maximum capacity? Perhaps Patwinka already has some plan set...since she seems to know so much about this..."
Turning to the stranger, she bowed as well, "It's a pleasure, Matsumoto-san."

"I doubt she knows about this. Remember that her information said it was uninhabited. And I don't think we should just abandon them, but they seem well adjusted to life here. It would be like going to another world if we took them back to Tokyo. But... I wonder..." He looked at Shizue for a second. "On the other hand I say we do bring them back."What do you mean bring us back?"The electro magnetic shield thingy is gone. We can leave the island.""Honestly?" Kyosuke nodded his head to confirm his statement. "Though I don't know how many more people can be carried by this plane."

Hikaru tried to gauge Shizue's reaction. She didn't seem adverse to the idea of leaving the island, and it was quite dangerous on the island anyways it would be better for the people to leave.
"Even if the plane can't fit all of them, Haru and I can open a portal for them to go through back to the mainland."

"Right. I forgot you guys an do that." He said, stroking his chin. "Wait. A what?" She was confused. Shizue had never seen the old TV shows that gave the portal it's name. "A portal." "What's a portal?"Her face still bore a confused look. "I don't no the technical stuff. But I'm pretty sure it's when someone uses their power to bend all of time and space. Bore a hole through it and walk through. Then time and space is restored to it's original form without anyone the wiser. Or is that a worm hole?" "I still don't understand." She said, shaking her head. "OK. I'll explain what I just said with my hands." Kyosuke placed leveled out his arms across his chest. His hands were touching at the middle fingers. "This is time and space and all that good stuff. When someone makes a portal it goes like this." He folded his arms in until they were vertically aligned with each other. "Now say Point A, the starting point is the back of my left hand. Point B is the back of my right hand. The portal is the hole between the two points. The person steps through and then time and space are restored to normal when they close the portal. And no one knows anything happened. Except the ones opening the portal." He arms were now back in the original horizontal position. "Least, that's how I think it's done. That right Hikaru-san?"

Guraha had wandered back into the forest upon noticing Souda was missing. Come to think of it, he had not seen her since the guardians had begun their assault. That being his worry, he quickly set out, following her scent, quickly coming upon a water hole in a clearing. He spotted her soaking her feet in the water, and he jumped in "CANNONBALL!" A large splash erupted, dousing Souda with cool, refreshing water. The sun was coming up in the distance, and it was a tranquil morning now that the assault was over. He burst from under the water, laughing good-naturedly "'snort' sorry there, Miss Souda, the water feels so good, and qwith a beautiful sunrise to boot!" He swam over to her, blushing slightly "So, how has the trip been for you so far?"

Hikaru nodded, "Yes, that's a wonderful explanation. You're also right about the wormhole thing. A portal is pretty much a wormhole connecting two points in the universe. Space isn't flat you see, it's kinda folded up like a piece of cloth. Normally, to get to another place, you'd have to keep walking on that cloth to get to point B. In that case, a portal is like a tunnel connecting different folds. I guess that's the more scientific explanation...So Kyosuke-san, where are we headed now?"

"Hell if I know. I'm tired from a night of fighting and lack of sleep. I came here to relax. Anyway. I think we should head back to the camp site.""Camp site? There are more of you?" She interrupted. "Yes there are." He snapped. He never like being interrupted. "Can I go too?!" Shizue had become excited to hear the news of more outsiders. "I don't see why not."

"Let's go then. I think we both could use some rest. Matsumoto-san, you're welcome to come along and meet whoever else is still there as well."
Hikaru could understand the girl's curiosity. After staying on the island for all of one's life, how could one not want to know about outsiders who suddenly appeared? Grabbing Kyosuke's left arm and Shizue's right, she teleported them back to the beach, concentrating on a mental picture of the place. She was a bit too tired to climb a tree and figure out a path back. Once on the beach, she let them both go, falling back to sit on the sand and rest her legs. It was lucky that she only had to take two. Three was the maximum, though she had only done that once during a practice.
"It appears most of our group is still off flirting...At least we have time to rest, Kyosuke-san, before the journey back."
