Of course, turning the other cheek isn''t always the best option, now is it?
What do you do when you''ve been hit on both sides of the face, and then some?

Not everything can be ignored, either. Sometimes you can ignore something for too long to do anything about it. Then you''re stuck in a hopeless existence between the past and the future.... neutral

As a pacifist, I often struggle with the idea of when self defense is self defense...would they have to hit you first? If I was a true pacifist, would I just turn the other cheek and let rapists go at it? These are the questions of many...and no one has answers dangit!!!

the dark side has much to do with football...

just like madame solo said earlier, this is why i used the word try wink sometimes i am a victim of my emotions and things can turn unfriendly. suffice it to say, there most definitely is a time when self-defense is ur immediate option.. then again, i also tell myself that im now retired from fisticuffs.

There is no answer except to do what you see as being the best available response to a situation according to your morals. Unfortunately, many times we are not given ample opportunity to think through our actions and responses. Thus, future actions may be based upon regret stemming from past actions. Or vice versa -> every decision you make determines how you will perceive future decisions.

Is life/reality defined as a whole or as each moment that passes by? Do you define yourself and your morals as encompassing all or by each individual situation? Questions...

eek That is really creepy....
but I'm sorry, I just don't get the point of large males tackling eachother wearing padding and helmets...its not even hot like wrestling mad d Just kidding, but still, I just don't understand why football is the American sport...
Actually I do, we Americans love to do stupid things and ram into eachother. And play with our balls. 3nodding

Sorry... I'm kinda philosophical today... and I don't know why.
*stops with the questions*

Goodness... I'm reminded of a lengthy discussion from one of my classes in school about football, but I don't think the boys would be very comfortable with my repeating the theory. xd

stk, this is why the more mature me (at least i hope) tries to hold off on plainly reacting to developing situations and control myself enough to think things through so i can act accordingly. which has already helped me a few times to stay retired wink

Looked it up, sounds familiar, but I can't say I've seen it. sweatdrop

Then again, to throw a monkey into the works, there is the problem of thinking too much (admittedly, this is my problem). xd
