The shot was fired. Fortunately, due to the barriers in front of Soqed, the inercom was hit, destroying it, but not hurting her. Although it more than likely scared her to death...

"JESUS!!" Soqed cried out, hitting the ground and cowering the minute the intercom was destroyed. For a few moments, she believed it had actually hit her, and it wasn't until she realized she was still inside that it dawned on her she was still alive.
