Basically there are mafia families.
People can control "flames" I guess kinda like Chakra or something.
There are 7 "types" of flames that each have a different attribute.
Sky, Orange in color, its attribute is harmony.
Storm, Red in color, its attribute is degeneration.
Rain, Blue in color, its attribute is tranquility.
Lightning, Green in color, its attribute is solidification.
Sun, Yellow in color, its attribute is activation.
Cloud, Purple in color, its attribute is propagation.
Mist, Dark blue in color, its attribute is construction.
Leaders of families control Sky flames.
They have 6 guardians, one corresponding to each flame.
However different families may refer to their guardians as different names.
Such as one family in the anime calls the guardians the Six Funeral Wreath's
Uhm if I think of more I'll let you know. XD
EDIT;;;
The Arcobaleno are the 7 strongest warriors, who were "cursed" and turned into babies. They however still retain their skills. They generally have an animal companion. Each one corresponds to a flame type and there is only one of each flame type.

Oh, there are also weapons known as boxes. Boxes are opened by focusing energy into a ring of the corresponding attribute and putting that energy into the box. Box weapons can be just about anything. But are commonly actual weapons, or animals.

The main families I wanted one controlling each continent.
and an Arcobaleno that aid's each family.

I was going to do families kind of like "squads" of Bleach.
6 other people who are capable role players make their own family and then they chose the details of their family.
Such as if their guardians are called guardians or what.
The special abilities of their family boxes.
What their family rings are called and what not.
Of course then for plots and such their could be other families made that try to take over territories, wars between the families, and what not.
