Kaida wrapped her arm around his waist loosely, her eyes lazy but not sleeping. Her instinct told her that sometimes vampires had to try multiple times for a child, because it was based on the moon cycle. However, the full moon was the only light in the cottage as it revealed the two naked on the bed, the blanket at their feet and the sheets stained in blood, yet they were woundless by now. It also told her the male would know for sure whether the woman would bear a child at the time.
Licking her parched lips, she reached up to kiss Kale on his cheek. She was tired; mainly because it had been long since Kale and Kaida had come together in this way... so they took advantage of this time. Instead she spoke in his mind. 'Kale... my love...' She whispered warily, 'Has it happened?' She asked, referring to bearing a child. She looked up at him, at his elaborate black mark that was unique to the two of them, and then at his eyes; that had returned to their normal color once more. His lips had remained a stain of maroon as her blood was upon them, and he was as handsome as ever as his naked form held her to him.
The hand that was around his waist moved to reach up and stroke his cheek, and then his hair lovingly. Her breathing had finally returned to normal as she sighed contently, snuggling into him as she had many times before.

Echo woke up after a while, looking around she sat up. She felt better now that she had slept, and part of her knew that in a few minutes James would be awake too. Echo looked at James delighted to see him. She didnt understand how the other women who had a baby like this would want to hurt it. Echo didnt think it was exactly fair to assume that anything would be perfect, and killing the baby for it was against her own standards. Echo shook her head, deciding that she didnt want to think about what Talon told her. Echo reached out to take James when he woke up, she was trying not to bother Talon too much while he slept.

'Yes, but that doesn't mean that we have to stop.' Kale teased lightly, even though they've already done it about 4 times by now. He just loved being able to let loose completely now without worry, so he wanted to take advantage of it as much as possible.
Talon awoke when he felt Echo move, but let his eyes stay closed for the moment, letting his senses do the work rather than his eyes. He allowed Echo to hold James and take care of him as Talon tried to rest a bit longer.

Echo held onto James, letting him feed. She winced once because when he didnt go for blood his little fangs scraped her skin, and left little raw marks. She was quiet, Echo played with James, grinning because he had a strong grip on her fingers. She looked at Talon ,trying to stay quiet enough so he could rest.

Kaida grinned, moving her body completely on top as she kissed him on the lips, almost like a human couple were if they were just making out. She loved the feeling of his lips upon hers, but she was actually worried. Would she be a good mother? Would she bring the child to full term? Would Kale love it just as she did? Would it love her back?

Kale chuckled at her thoughts. "Calm down, you worry too much for just barely being told you're successfully impregenated. Everything will be fine." he assured her softly.
Talon was content on just listening to his families actions and sounds. It was rather comforting and amusing at the same time.

Kaida sat up on his body, looking down at his face lit by moonlight alone. She cocked her head sideways. "How can I not worry, Kale? You know me well enough..." She sighed then and stood up off of him, going to the windowsill and leaning against it, staring at the darkened forrest. So many thoiughts rushed through her head at one time that she couldn't sort them out herself.

Echo leaned down towards James, trying to keep him from pulling the hair he had in his hand anymore. "Let go." she said quietly, trying not to laugh. It wasnt hurting her, it was more amusing. She just didnt like her hair being pulled.

Kale sat up, leaning on one arm as he watched her look out the window. "Kiada, do you regret mating me?" he asked softly, letting a bit of hurt slip into his voice. He didn't like the fact that she was doubting everything, including his own emotions. They had full access to each others mind, unable to hide anything anymore, she should know that he was also just as eager for a child but held himself back each and everytime because it was she who wasn't ready. The only reason he granted her wish now was because she was ready and she wanted it....but maybe he had rushed it a bit too fast and now she was regretting it which meant that he'd have to work Kiada like a mad woman in order to kill the child before it has a chance to grow too much starting the next day, that is if she doesn't want said child. But he didn't want to do that to her or his child, but he would if she wanted him to.
Talon decided it was time to join his family and thus went up behind his love and child, holding Echo in his arms as she held James. "My son, listen to your mother. I won't allow disobediance even if you are a day in this world." he sternly spoke, knowing the boy understood him. And he nodded in approval as James did as he was told and took hold of one of Echo's fingers and one of Talons in each of his tiny hands.

Echo smiled. "Its great to know there is someone here who knows alot about vampire children. I didnt know you could understand me James." She said, leaning against Talon. "We didnt wake you up did we?"

Kaida chuckled and looked at him, then went over by the bed and sat on the bed, stroking his head. "Kale..." She spoke softly, staring down into his eyes. She shook her head and leaned down to kiss his lips softly. "There isn't one day I regret what I've become, and who has turned me. She turned her head and moved her hair. "This..." She said, referring to her mark, "This is the sign of my love. I want to be with you for eternity. Every mother worries about their children, Kale. Why would I be different?" She asked, then looked down at Kale. It was reassuring to know he also wanted it, but soon her eyes grew wide. Because she was told that she was pregnant, subconciously her motherhood of a vampire took over quickly, even though it would have tomorrow as her body settled. She stood up and stepped away from Kale, holding her stomach as though it would stop it. She barred her fangs slightly, a small growl escapign her lips. Mate or not, no one would touch her child. "You will not hurt this child..." She warned, backed up against the wall shaking; afraid of losing her first child. She had wanted this more than anything, and she wasn't going to lose it.

Kale just calmly watched her as she backed away from him, hurt entering his soul that she did so, and again not trusting him. "Kaida, you know as well as I, that I would prefer not to rise to that circumstance. However, my hand will be forced if you worry like you are and are not trusting of me. Worry will kill the child too, why do you think I said not to worry about anything? The only thing you have to be concerned about is feeding yourself and the child and staying alive. I will handle everything else, just like I did when I first brought you into my world.
Should you worry too much, about anything else, then you put stress on yourself, and I know you've heard what happens to stressed pregnant women. Why do you think Talon has kept Echo out of the loop of many things since she first became his? He kept her from worrying about anything except her own needs. Unfortunately, I don't have that luxury so I would like you to help me in keeping your worries to an absolute minimum, alright?" he asked her softly, holding one hand out to her to invite her back to his embrace. "You say you love me enough to be with me forever, that you don't regret your being. How about you prove that to me, by trusting me, alright? No love can exist without trust in the other person. You know that, yes?"
Talon smirked and kissed her neck softly. "Vampire children are able to understand the first spoken language it hears within 3 hours after they are born, but after a few weeks he will then be able to speak as well." he told her gently. "No, I woke not long before you did, my dear. Don't worry about it."

Echo grinned. "So you were pretending to be asleep." She leaned back against Talon. "You learn fast James." Echo said, approvingly.

Kaida frowned and listened to him, sighing and dropping her gaze. She felt the hurt just as he had, and felt guilty for causing it. She looked up in time to see his hand to her, and she came to him willingly. She sat beside him and leaned up against him, and took his hands and placed them over his stomach. "Then do all the worrying for me. Protect us from danger, please..." She asked, knowing all too well what his answer would be. Her eyes grew lazy then, she was tired. However at the moment the sun was coming up. Her mind went to Talon then. Perhaps they should meet up with them soon.
