This had better not be some sort of indication that my fights are going to be graded off font frills or how good my avatar looks.
I'd really rather see brackets on time or a post in size 12 on time then brackets or a fight post after the "due date" with all the unnecessary frills. It's not that Ecks' art isn't great or anything, but, we'd do just as well getting the brackets in text right away and then seeing the arsty version later.
Food for thought. 3nodding

themightyjello No. I mean yes. I mean you're whining. But in all seriousness, unless you're waiting for X to be finished with the backdrop image before you roll them then the brackets are done and you're just withholding them because you want the unveiling to be pretty rather than text. Exactly.

Ah, Vintrict. It seems like I rag on you a lot... but these are just my observations. It's a lot easier to spot the issues from the outside, so, I'm not as much criticizing as I am reminding you of the alternative options or views.
I mean, the troll way to do this would be to go into the Suggestions Thread and post something like,
"Adhere to your deadlines."

I said I was going to release them tomorrow, whether Ecks was done or not. Tho Ecks will probably get to my PM tonight since he needed a question to ask, so basically, everything should be on time.

Yeah.
As much as I can appreciate the aesthetic value of a good unveiling this sort of thing really should have been 'done' the moment the fighter list was finalized and the brackets should have been posted either then or at the specified time given. As it stands, there is 1 day (a Sunday) between when the brackets may or may not be shown and when the fighting begins.
This does not give people enough time to get in contact with their opponent and discuss times for possible back-and-forth.
It's not mandatory to post the brackets prior to the round beginning... it's just generally a good idea from an OOC standpoint.

That being said, I have no idea what this place is going to look like on Monday.
32 running fights plus all the existing threads? Or does a subforum open for fighting?

I also contacted everyone who is in the tournament who has yet to come to the guild. Tomorrow, I'm going to do a guild announcement, the new feature that we been needing for quite some time, to tell people their fights start tomorrow. As for the subforum, it'll be seeable when tomorrow. biggrin

Awesome.
Yeah, some time would have been nice... but it's more the fact that people will suffer the ills of the brackets not being released not because they aren't done, but because they're being withheld for the sake of vanity. ( Every tournament is going to want to be flashy and attractive, in order to be memorable. )
Granted, there's no use crying over spilled milk. I trust you guys will make it up to us, namely by pressuring Ecks into using his connections to give us naked transforming Sey art.

Well, if it works it works.
In other news, the forum tells me Foxcross is online but he's not showing up on MSN. >:{
