Larry went around picking up as much stuff as he could from the Russians. He stuffed the magazines in his vest pockets, between his belt and in the waistline of his pants below the small of his back. His eyes marveled at the sight of the AK "Hehe! Good old fashioned hardware! You and I, together at last!" he told the rifle, before turning to Riku "Thanks, bud. I'll see you round the break room, time to do some damage!"
And with that Larry left in the direction Riku pointed, keeping his beauty trained ahead of him and staying close to the walls in case he had to duck inside a room. Finally, after a good long mosey down the hallways, Larry could hear around the corner some voices saying things that he didn't understand. "Ruskie language." he told himself, sticking to the wall and peeking slowly around.
There stood two of the enemy soldiers on watch. The two of them may have been casually chatting one another, but they were definitely alert. If not for the dim lighting of the corridor they might have noticed Larry slowly retracting his head. Larry sat there and contemplated his decisions. If he jumped out, he had a chance at blowing the both of them to dust but that would surely bring the entire armory raiding force down on him and that was just stupid.
What to do... What to do... What to do, indeed?

The creature went around the corner, loudless as a shadow, and saw the targets. Two of them, close proximity, chatting, a third one with some weak possibly very old identification behind the next wall..... The creature broke into a lifght sprint at 80 mph, jumped, burried its clawbearing feet in the back of the one target, while in a swift motion, it extendet one claw, and beheaded the one target. for a minute, it marveled the situation.... the head at its handclaw, staring in his face in a vision of disbelief..... the body, still standing, but slowly falling foreward, showering the surroundings in a fine red mist.....It snarled as the new software kicked in, and it fell foreward, as the second target screamed, and hit it with something.... "dolstjakva-djork! SPARTAK!" it marvelled as its one arm flew off the joint, yseperated by the blade on top of the weapon, while it sent out tiny impulses of the programms, that caused the surplus nanobots in its body to spew out and devour the second target. The second target screamed during the whole sequence like a mammal fuiled under pig.... yes, it squealed like a pig. The creature grinned, and wondered for a minute about the inefficiency of verbal communication, while the nanobots reconfigured the athoms of the two targets, and reformed them in a silvery wave, slowly flowing back to the original body, and increasing it's size and dexterity for 90 percent. Now, it was about 3 meters tall, and it had to bend its bipedal motion apparatus to fit under the low ceiling. leaving the other nanobots to clean up, the creature walked around, to take care of the third target. for a minute, it could smell it all. Adrenochrome, adrenalinem, sweat and a hint of piss...... then the information kicked in.... "<>", it snarled, reading the response from the rfid-tags in his clothing, identification marks, and the other signs, while retracting its secoindary mouth, "good job, boy..... Work up, and get the weapons of the enemy...."

Larry couldn't believe his eyes, what in God's name just happened. He thought for a second that it was a dream... Yes, only a dream! But that was quickly quashed by the disgusting sight of the flayed, dismembered Russians. He felt like vomiting, and may well have done so if not for an echo coming from further down the hall.
First it was just the one, then a whole bunch of them. It sounded like heavy objects falling onto the floor. Larry hurried down the hall toward the thumping sounds which now were becoming clearer. Now among the loud thumps, Larry could hear more Russian talk, saying things that he recognized as swear words from movies.
Finally he got close enough to where he could see the source of the noise, a pile of unconscious Russian soldiers outside the armory. But it appeared that whatever it was that was knocking them on their vodka-sucking behinds had disappeared. Or so he had hoped.
CRASH! From the doors of the armory flew the broken pieces of a wooden crate. It was luckily not so damaged that Larry was pierced by nails. But it wasn't nails that concerned him now, for there emerging from the armory with a bundle of guns and ammunition under each arm was his rival, attempted murderer and apparent secret admirer, Darya.
Larry had gotten the rifle knocked from his hands and fumbling around in the dim darkness only managed to retrieve one of the planks from the crate. But even though he must have looked to her like a fool as he held it up ready to defend himself, Darya didn't even give him a second thought. She simply took a surprisingly large jump over and out of the sight of Larry down the hall. The echo of her running got softer and softer until finally it disappeared and Larry was left sitting there with a fractionally cleaned-out armory and a pile of Russians out in front of it.
Even though this was not only a theft it was also a breach of security, Larry looked at the pile of Russians and decided this was an opportunity too good to pass. Time for some spin-control!

"Oh." Sokato replied. He was surprised, even if it was only slightly. He was joking about lycanthropy and the like and was not expecting that he was close to finding the problem. Sokato continued to walk ahead and did not stop as Yue mentioned the others. "You should have brought him with you." Sokato stopped walking. "Your thirsty now? Theres no reason to stop right now. We are heading towards a tavern, wait until we get there." He continued on walking.
The android spotted the giant barreling towards them and slung the electric lady over his shoulder. As the giant made his swing the android jumped into the air and over him. Afterwards the android quickly ran off towards the garage. The idea is to let the tech detain the electric lady then to get back into the fray. As he retreated, he left GroundWalker with some advice. "He iss tough! Use missiles."

While Xinrie focused on the chaos that was caused by the monkey, Kairin made her way through the disheveled crowd, zeroing in on the exit that Ryanna’s niece had taken. Realizing that her idiot (i.e. sister) had stayed behind, she turned around and grabbed her sleeve. “Come on Stalker, we have work to do.”
“B-But, the MONKEY! It just stole that guy’s toupee! Come on, let’s play keep away with it!”
Kairin frowned, this was one of those moments where she truly regretted having dropped Xinrie on her head as an infant. “We don’t have time for this Xin,” she sighed, “If we can’t finish this within the next two weeks, Commander will kill us.” As she said this, she pulled Xinrie closer to the door, only to run into one of the last people she wanted to see on this mission….Ryanna.
Ryanna stared at the chaos around her: People running from an out of control clown car, scattered bodies covered in cotton candy and a monkey wearing a toupee and tuxedo chasing a bald man. This reeked of Xinrie.
Xinrie looked at Ryanna’s displeased face, then to the crowd, then back at Ryanna. “Hey, the monkey did this, not me.”
“Can I assume then that you prompted the monkey?”
Xinrie thought back to when she had first entered the circus: (Please be prepared you are about to enter the mind of Xinrie. Think happy thoughts.)
“Hey! There’s a monkey! Come here little monkey.” When the monkey didn’t respond, Xinrie picked up a stick and ran it across the bars of the cage. “COME ON! COME ‘ERE MONKEY MONKEY MONKEY!” Kairin grabbed Xinrie’s hand, “Will you stop it?! The poor thing looks like it’s about to snap. Keep doing that and it really will go crazy.” :Fine.” Xinrie said as she dropped the stick. As soon as Kairin went to get their seats she picked up the stick again. “MON-MON-MONKEY-INS!”
“Nope.”
Kairin pushed the other two towards the exit to avoid a screaming clown. “Commander, what are you doing here...and who did you leave in chrage?”
Ryanna looked from one side to another, as if trying to find a better reason than the one she had. Giving up, she sighed, “We only have a week left to bring her back....Oh yes and I left birdboy in charge.”
Xinrie let out a half-choked snort. Ahahaha....birdboy and being in charge should never be put in a sentence together.
Kairin's eyes widened. “Wha- But why?”
Ryanna’s face immediately changed to one of extreme irritation. “Because my brother’s mother-in-law is coming to visit the entire family in a week. Have you ever met that woman?! She’s like the decrepit crypt keeper from beyond the grave! You could hide pennies in the folds of her icky, wrinkly skin! She’s old and cranky and rich…richer than the rest of us- and otherwise obnoxious. Have you ever had to spend more than five minutes with that woman?! Ugh! She spent the first four years that I knew her telling me that my job as a librarian could never compete with her little, fluffy award winning schnauzer! So glad I ran over that thing when I had the chance. If she finds out that Colette ran away and that MY organization couldn’t get her back within a week, I’ll never hear the end of it!”
Xinrie looked at Kairin, nervous with the personal level of this assignment. “Heh heh, on the bright side, she won’t live much longer if she’s that old…”
“Are you kidding, she’s like a cockroach, I hav-…could send out assassins for her and she still wouldn’t die! My luck, she’d cryogenically freeze herself at the last minute, or worse, turn into some creepy brain-in-a-jar thing.”
Kairin looked past Raynna, towards the tents. From one of them, she saw a white haired girl in a tight fitting outfit emerge. “There she is! Get her!”
All three took off running towards the tent. She was certain that any minute now, Colette would take off down the hill and towards the nearby thick of trees, trying to get away from them. To her great surprise, Colette turned towards them and started running at full speed.
“What is she doing?!” Xinrie asked. The question was barely born of her lips before they got their answer. From the other side of the hill, a sky ship appeared. On either side, it was flanked by back up in the form of smaller, gun ships, all speeding in the direction of Colette.
Ryanna sped up, pulling her gun from her holster. Immediately switching the safety off, she took aim at one of the pilots. Pulling the trigger three times, she caused four men to fall from the edge of the boat. Yes, that’s right, four. Who says a bullet can’t rip through two skulls at the same time?
Colette was nearly level with Kairin, who had already ripped open the edge of her thumb. She hadn’t planned on using blood seals for this mission, especially not this soon. She of course wasn’t as good at blood sealing as the commander was, but her skills were enough to be useful. Stretching her hand out, she let a few drops of blood splatter onto the ground. As they connected, she felt the minerals within the earth. Picking out the few she needed, she pulled fourth a metal disk. She launched it out at one of the other ships. It spun through the air with deadly accuracy and sliced through main gun and into the gunner himself, disabling both.
Xinrie felt towards her pack, hoping she still had some of those bombs that she had “borrowed” from the store room were still there. Her lips twisted into a maniacal grin. “You go Boomboom now.” With those last parting words, Xinrie cocked her arm back and launched it to a small gunship that had strayed from the others. The metal device tinked against the side of the ship’s hard metal exterior, but a tink was all she needed. The bomb exploded in a massive array of lights and with such force that it sent Both Colette, who was still running about the place like a chicken with it’s head cut off, and Xinrie flying backwards several hundred feet.
Colette had totally flipped, one minute she was fleeing. The next she was completely airborne and now she lying in some disheavealed heap next to a teenager she had never seen before in her life. “Urgh…” Xinirie grumbled, rubbing her head. “Gotta tell ‘em to put warnin’ labels on those things.” The girl sat up slowly, turning her head in Colette’s fdirection. “GAH! YOU! Get yer butt over here!” That….was the totally wrong thing to say, Colette scrambled to her feet, did some flashy skipy leap over Xinrie’s head and took of running…again. Oy. She didn’t get far though, just a few feet into her daring fleeage, a net came out of nowhere, wrapped itself around the small screaming girl and immediately hoisted her into the sir.
Kairin and Ryanna didn’t even get a chance to react before Colette was pulled from the ground and onto the deck of the main ship. It started to gain attitude, and angle itself upward.
Ryanna stared up, at the deck, until the captain appeared, holding a sobbing and hysterical Colette at his side. “Do ye remember me, Commander Rindell?” He asked, “Been a long time since ye went and sold our pervious Capin’ out. Had ‘im arrested and killed ye did.I’ll take your lovely ‘ittle niece as retribution, though. Ye want her back, then I suggest ye come alone to Sky Port. We’ll work out a deal there.”
Within moments, the ship was too far out of range to attack Xinrie turned towards a very horror stricken Ryanna. “On the bright side, things can’t get any worse.”
Just as she said this the manager of the circus, along with three clowns and the bearded lady walked up to Ryanna and handed her a bill.

Riku finally made it to the garage again, and was amazed at what he saw. Blitz was unconscious, slung over the android's shoulder, as Joel, Tera and several MM soldiers confronted The Bear. The Bear roared out in pain, then said, in broken English and with a thick Russian accent, "you hurt the Bear! The Bear smash you! RRROAAAAA!" Riku smirked; the Bear reminded him of a hero from a comic book he had looked at, only he wasn't green.
Suddenly, he felt a familiar presence; Chaos. He looked over to the corner to see a portal of the stuff opening up. Yuri stepped out of it again, and held out his hand towards Joel in the Groundwalker suit. "s**t!" Riku ran towards him, yanked him out of the suit, and jumped out of the way as the suit suddenly ceased to be: total existence failure. If Joel had been in the suit a second longer, he would have been gone forever. Several soldiers turned and opened fire, but Yuri simply waved his hand. They all melted into puddles of liquid biomatter. He then held out his hand towards the android, and Blitz disappeared. The Bear looked over, and yelled. "Yuri no interfere with Bear's fun! Bear rip puny soldiers to shreds!"
"You are disobeying a direct order from your own father," Yuri calmly replied. "You will be punished severely for this." The Bear roared in anger, and charged towards Yuri. Right before his punch landed, he disappeared just as Blitz had. Yuir then stepped back into the Chaos portal and disappeared.
Riku looked around the garage; it had been almost destroyed from the fight. He then realized the katana on his back had disappeared; Yuri must have summoned it away. A message crackled over his comm; "Attention all units, Kavinsky's mercenaries appear to be pulling back. Good job, everyone."
Riku suddenly felt something he had never felt before. A strange form of energy was emitting somewhere inside the complex. He didn't know where it was coming from, but the energy felt strange- almost as if, if it were to touch anything, it would annihilate it. Riku realized what it was; he had encountered it once, and it had destroyed an entire mountain range. He immediately hit is comm button.
"All MM employees, the attack was a diversion! They've planted an antimatter bomb somewhere in the building!"

Just as Larry heard the intercom announcements, he noticed that every piece of Russian hardware he had been packing at one point was now gone. The clips, the rifle, even the stray Russian hardware from the KO'd soldiers was gone. In his vest pocket, Larry felt a crinkling piece of paper. He read it and was quite surprised to see who it was from.
It read: A resource for a resource. Some stolen weapons for a fallen soldier. Such is the way of my organization in matters of revenge. But in my eyes, the debt is not settled. The rookie you killed to liberate an insignificant cat, the rookie whose basic training and life I was responsible for, shall not truly rest until I have provided you the same fate. I know that you have identified me, and if you haven't you shall soon enough. I am capable of much more than I have been caught for and I do not care if I must hunt you to the ends of this world or any other. I look forward to finishing the work that my knife started.
Farewell, "Dasha"
Larry was puzzled and stunned at this news. Not only at the fact that Darya had somehow slipped the paper into his pocket without him knowing, but that he now for sure had a secret admirer. And Larry's was the kind that only gives flowers after the deed is done. And what luck, there was now a bomb threat on the building. "Damn it!" Larry snapped, grabbing himself a pistol from the untapped section of the armory "Today is not a good day in the 'normal stuff' department."
Larry quickly made tracks for the garage and arrived in time to catch Riku.

Steven was understandably depressed. First off, he had nearly seen action. He'd grabbed the vest (and the vest was uncomfortably hot), filled it with grenades, grabbed the P-90 and several magazines, strapped the handguns to himself, several magazines with those as well, grabbed a hat, some combat goggles, pulled out and on boots, laced them, tucked his pants into them, rolled up his shirt sleeves, and gone to go fight.
And where was he?
A security shelter. A bunker. Sitting around with non-combat personnel, trying to figure out exactly what he was doing here. Man, if Steven laid eyes on Brian again, there would be terrible suffering and consequences. Probably there were terrifying things in that poor child's future.
Then the intercom came on. The person who had apparently first initialized the panic was informing the others that someone had planted a bomb. An 'antimatter' bomb. Steven was only vaguely aware that this was a theoretical type of matter that would explode upon contact with your standard matter. It didn't matter; maybe if he went out and wandered the halls and didn't get killed, he'd find something. Maybe there would be a cash bonus. Deciding the chance was far too good to pass up, Steven got up, pushed his way out of the bunker, and tried to gather his bearings.
By the time he found he had done so, he had managed to wander into the central hall of the MM HQ. On an impulse, he quickened his step, moving towards the stairs to the second story. Someone really clever would know that most of the mercenaries would be scouring the first floor, simply because they were all already there. They would count on a diminished number upstairs, and plant the bomb there. Steven could also be crazy, but still, it was worth a shot.
Up the stairs he went, feet flying, until he reached the top. There was no OBVIOUS sign of bomb planting, but that meant nothing. If it were up here, it would likely be in one of the dorms. Hesitant though Steven was to steal people's privacy, this could be considered an emergency. And if anyone objected, there was always the P-90. He moved into the first dorm area, knocking on doors, then attempting to open them, then kicking them open if they were locked. Since they were, in general, standard house doors, they fell to his boot easily enough, if he needed them to.
((Requiem, if you want him to find the bomb, tell me. If not, I'll just keep trawling through dorms. Which no one wants.))

Riku raced through the halls, following the distinct energy output the antimatter bomb was giving off. Electromagnetic energy was keeping the antimatter from touching anything around it; if that EM energy shut off, the bomb would annihilate anything within a hundred miles of it. It couldn't be very much antimatter; it was hundreds of billions of dollars to produce en masse, and an OUNCE of it would be sufficient to blow half the Western U.S. off the face of the planet- literally. Still, even a little was too much.
He turned down the hall, running at top speed. He turned towards the library- the energy was coming from there. He ran in, and saw what looked like a large barrel with a small device attached to the top. It was no barrel- it was the container used to hold the antimatter in electromagnetic stasis. He checked the detonator- one minute till it detonated. No time to call a squad in. He had to eliminate it himself.
He tried picking it up, but it was too heavy to lift. He had one idea left. Slowly, he summoned up his Chaos again. He was going to cancel out the antimatter with Chaos, which had literally no matter in it. It would be close- he would have to form a field of Chaos around the bomb right before it detonated.
The detonator counted down, and a small alarm began to sound. Ten, nine, eight, seven- Riku formed the field around the bomb right as it hit one. The bomb disappeared as the antimatter annihilated the matter in it. The floor inside the field was next, and the bubble of Chaos closed around it. Riku struggled to keep the energy held in, the field fluctuating under the force of the antimatter's positrons bouncing around inside. Finally, Riku collapsed the field on itself, and the antimatter disappeared from this plane of existence. Riku collapsed as the extra Chaos pulled back into one spot on his back. He laughe a little- that had been too close. He happened to glance at one of his exposed arms, and suddenly stopped laughing. Strange black tattoos were running down his arms. He pulled off his outfit; the marks were everywhere, all over his chest, up his neck, on his face. He recognized them; but they hadn't appeared since.....
Riku tried to stand, but couldn't- he was simply out of energy. He needed sleep, but couldn't move. He simply sat there, waiting for someone to come along.

(Since apparently anybody had superpowers, I am going to get mine one.... part one...) Brian woke up the second time....It was not a very nice way to wake up, fallen down on the keyboard, with marks the size of , well, some keys.... He sighed, and pushed himself off. as he looked in the mirror, he saw.... Mirror..... his face..... wghere the ******** was he? It was a white room, and he was kind of in it with his laptop....He sighed.... it was obvious howe to proceed. he opened a console on his laptop and pressed a few keys. <> Yes.... as he thought..... he was withing the lines of some computer network.... ath0 was the name of his wifi card, and the network name was..... he grinned. "Computer, boot...." the white room shivered ,and ,,,, His hands! his fricking HANDS! He slammed his head down on the console, pausing the boot process. Then, he sat down, and stared at his hands. His hands were..... flowing inside of the flowing screen..... then, some memories hit him.... his last thoughts..... he grinned, and said to nobody at all "Computer, find......" He stopped, as a voice resounded. "Gorbatschow, puschkin, finnioska and Badewannenmix" He stopped everything. He had just withnessed the most amazing thing. The computer must have had reacted to his thought of the request of begging it to point out four different sorts of vodkas which you could buy in germany..... He stopped.....what the hell was going on? he had just tried to figure out if he was suffering from some sort of ..... A wikipedia page popped out ion front of him. memory loss. most symptoms..... he read through it, and in horror noticed that he remembered every word. He sat down, and stared at his hands. This was either too friggin cool, or some very ******** up s**t..... How could he..... he kicked the laptop, and found that he had been able to kick it in a respectively good manner. Grinning, He stopped. he then sat down, and ran the commands. Only text mode.... startup in console.... connect to the network..... He sighed, and went to the menue.... what he saw there, made his blood freeze..... some idiot had used some very electromagnetic device near the main secondary storage server unit. It had ******** up some very important controll mechanisms.... He called up the main page of the nanobots description... it showed seven active constructs. He swallowed, and moved through the descriptions. one was the aliebn he had constructed to move through the enemy rows, 2-6 were the repair spiders that fixed the network.... He swallowed, as he went to the last page, and saw a detailled description of the last item. It was humanoid, and just sat down in the simulation room. He swallowed, and moved his right arm. The construct moved his right arm. he sighed. This was not possible..... it was..... he swallowed. how nice it would have been to be in the body of corporal eva.... "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" He jumped up. this was not good. he had ******** tits! these tits had not been there before! he saw clothing a few sizes tpoo large, and his feet looked..... The Librarian..... He was now little, crouched, and had very long and slender fingers. he sighed, sat down, and tried the last restort.... he thought of the last algorithms he had implemented to controll the nanobots in the constructs..... an algorithm to rebuild the construct after a big shutdown.....
He woke up in the white room, and knew exactly what was going on.....his brain contained a distinct memory of a second construct, a spider....he saw through some tiny eyes on floor level, crawling towards a guy in a bubble.... a construct that had enemy matter embedded in itself, and..... he cleared his head, and thought of his own body. as he opened its eyes again, he was himself again. He jumped up, nd thought of the outside. his vision blurred for exactly 3.5 seconds, and he was in the corridor. next to a wall. he shivered, and punched it, thinking off the no clipping cheat he had used to make his creatures able to pass walls. He opened his eyes, and the fist had disappeared in the wall. slowly, he pulled it out again. he concentrated, and thought constraints..... he saw the lines. The libnes and vectors and integers he had used to construct the body. He leaned against a wall, and breathed deeply. then, he said to nobody in particular.... "FSCK!!!!!!!!!!!" He had somehow been rebuilt by nanobots...... god dang.....that was problems......BIG problems.....

Larry was huffing and puffing, trying to keep up with Riku. He kept trying to stop him along the way, yelling to slow down and let him catch up a little. But once again in his career as a running man, Larry was left in someone else's dust.
Didn't matter, after running through the halls chasing Riku's shadow and the sound of his footsteps, Larry heard strange noises and thumping. He arrived in time to see Riku dropping to the floor, looking spent as hell. All over Riku's body, there appeared these markings. Markings that Larry had never seen anything like in his life.
Actually he had seen things that looked a bit like them in a gothic dive in downtown Manhattan. They were stamped all up and down the arms and backs of the resident goth chicks but he never cared enough to ask what they were. He reached down with his foot and tapped Riku in the ribs a few times. "Hey, bud. Wake up, what happened to the bomb? You all there?" he asked.

Riku looked up, still exhausted. "The bomb's gone. And I can't move." He looked down at his chest; the tattoos laced it like strange tendrils running down his body. He tried to get up, but ended up falling flat on his face. It was at this time that a strange mark was made visible on his back; a star, made of eight arrows pointed in different directions. Riku rolled back onto his back, panting. "Call a medic. There's no way I'm getting out of here on my own."

"I ain't one to rely on medics." Larry said, holstering his pistol in his pants "But lets get you over to 'em." Larry looked around the room for something and after a few quick seconds found a strip of cloth canvas and wrapped Riku's bare upper half in it.
This wasn't to keep him warm, though. Larry picked Riku up and heaved him onto his shoulder, hoping that the dark tattoos wouldn't touch him and infect his soul or give him bad luck. Larry may have been a lowdown running man from New York, but he was a practicing Catholic and every once in a while, lent himself to a bit of superstition. And with all that had been happening to him recently, he had to keep himself as pious as a mercenary could be.
"Come on man, best to get you to those pranksters who call themselves experts ASAP." Larry strained before starting through the halls and running toward the med bay. Riku was a little heavier than he looked and Larry's shoulder was good and sore by the time he busted through the med hall doors and laid Riku down.

(( The superpowered are highly represented around here. I'm considering working that in as a plot point later. Joel has one power which is beyond human ability, and he will not get any more. That one power so hard to work in that I consider it more of a physical quirk than a power. A physical quirk which he hides, at that. ))
When Riku had thrown him, Joel had landed on a recent corpse. He had rolled to his feet holding the dead man's pistol, but there had been no need. The army was retreating, and apparently had planned to do so all along. All of the efforts to capture a prisoner had been undone with Yuri's handwave. Even the mech was beyond recovery. In fact, everything they had done seemed futile.
Joel hated the sense of futility.
"Styxx," he snapped, passing her, "get whatever injuries you might have healed, and regroup in the garage. We're still on for that cleric job. This little skirmish might convince upper management to assign us more people, if we're lucky." Joel strode back into the garage. Lately, the garage had seen more use than the front door. Joel reached for his phone, but then realized that it had been plugged in to the mech when it had been destroyed. He scanned the ceiling until he found a security camera. Standing in front of it, he addressed the camera. "Tech. I know you can listen through these if you want to. Kavinsky bought all of his cameras from the same company you people did, so I know how they work. There's word of one bomb on the premises; do a complete search of the base for any other nasty crap those guys might have left behind. Then clean up the bodies and repair everything. Oh, and when you get a chance, design a base defense system that kicks in while the soldiers are still here. Bonus points if it works against freaking demigods who can handwave things out of existence." This line of thought led to the other figure standing in the garage, the one with glowing red eyes. "Sorry about the mech." Joel apologized to the android. Then he changed the subject. "That was pretty smooth, taking Blitz like that. Not too many soldiers would think to take the prize and leave the fight. What's your name again?"

((I agree with Frogtaur. In fact, that's what I've been planning on doing with Chaos. Let's just say that things are going to get interesting later.))
Riku remained motionless as Larry carried him down the hall; he couldn't have moved even if he wanted to. When he laid him down on the medic bed, several medics immediately swarmed around him. They hesitated upon seeing the marks on Riku's body. "Relax, they're harmless." The medics then began to check him out. All of his wounds, from the cuts he got during his first encounter with Zetsumei to the broken bones from being thrown against the wall by Yuri, had re-opened; in addition, the amount of Chaos he had channeled had worn him out to the point of physical paralysis. He wouldn't be able to move for a few days, and his injuries would take at least a week to heal.
One medic took his katars, which were badly damaged from overuse and exposure to Chaos. Another stuck a syringe into Riku's neck, injecting him with an anesthetic. After a few seconds, Riku finally drifted to sleep.
