Arlen enjoyed the kiss, but he didn't have the energy to make anything more out of it. "I think it's time I went to bed," he said softly.

"I'm not mad." Vincent soothed, again berating himself inwardly. "I'm concerned. There's a difference. You've haven't messed up anything, and it's not a crisis." he told her softly. "We all do things like it sometimes, sweet. It's part of being alive. We make mistakes."
"I think you're right." Lily agreed quietly, then slipped out of his lap and extended her hand. "Here or the bed?"

Ukai sniffled again as she kept hidden in his chest. She hugge dhim tighter. Truthfully she was panicked about being free. It made her unbalanced and unsetled. And then this argument about the cut. She just was feelign rather raw. She snuffled agian

"Don't mind at all babe." Lily told him, helping him to his feet. She wrapped an arm around his waist, supporting him, and headed to the stairs.
"Shh..." Vincent soothed, rubbing her back. "It's okay. I understand. It's," he paused, kissing the top of her head. "It's a big step. Go on and cry, love. I think you'll feel better after."

Arlen walked with Lily, trying not to put weight on her and using her mostly for balance.

Uakai held him tighter fighting back the tears that wanted to fall. She took another breath
"I'm still sorry" she said quietly to him then finallypulled back a bit and sighed wiping at her face
"Sorry Vincent.. i'm not very good at this am i. we shoudl be in the cottage.. and breaking in the bed. not up here.. with me acting silly.." she said

After helping him up the stairs, Lily steered them toward their bedroom, pusing open the door. "Here we are."

Ukaia kissed him softly
"Thank you i jsut.. need to handel this better" she said quietly to him then picke dup her doll off the bed. She had tried to go with out it as well knowing that only children really carried them around. She wasn't any good really at this sstuff.. Being free and more.. adult..

Lily shook her head, smiling softly. "You'll do no such thing. You'll be resting and eating tomorrow." she told him, then took of her pants before crawling into bed with him, snuggling close. "Go to sleep, babe." she whispered, kissing his cheek. "I love you and I'll see you in the morning."
Vincent sighed and wrapped his arms around her, gently massing one ear. "No, you need time to adjust, and get used to it. Then you can work on handling it better. Until then, you're allowed to feel overwhelmed, and when you do, I'm here."

It took Lily a long, long time to fall asleep. Afraid of disturbing Arlen, she managed not to fidget too much, and when she finally fell asleep, it was with a frown creasing her brow.
"Sweetheart..." Vincent whispered, hugging her fiercely. "Ukaia, I fell in love with you while you were carrying around Oneka. I like Oneka. He's cute. I don't want you poised, or anything else. I just want you to be you. You're everthing I want already."
