Ray laughed a little. "Don't we? Been like this since we first met." Drake made a face. "I don't even like elves." Ray snorted in responce. "Drake, you don't like anything." She then sipped at her wine and looked back to Sophia. "A muse? I've heards bards and artists speak of them...but I didn't know they were real."

"We're real," Sophia laughed. "We only aquire a physical body after the person gave birth to us dies. I now bind myself to my human and keep her inspired; sort of my way of saying thank you."

"How interesting. I'll have to ask the kingdom's bards and artists about other muses." Drake looked at the girl for a moment. "So...you still exsist even though the person who made you up died? Shouldn't the muse die with the person?" He didn't mean it as he disliked the girl or anything but the concept had made him slightly curious.

Sophia grinned. "Have you ever heard the saying, 'the dreamer dies, but the dream still lives?' That's about the best way you can discribe a muse. The ones who create us deny us a physical body, when they die, we leave the person who birthed us to continue on with our sire's dream. I, for example, was born in the mind of a female poet. When she died, it was my duty to find a human and carry out her dream of inspiring another female to write poetry. To make a long story short, I found my human, and now I will stay with her until the day she dies. When she dies, I will as well..."

"Ah..." Meir chirped again then waddled off to find more fruit. "Sounds a bit...boring." Ray stared at him then shook her head. "Well, she might think fighting is boring. Stop being rude." Drake ingored her comment and finished off his drink, refilling it with the bottle sitting next to him.

"My life is far from boring," Sophia answered. "I have a human who takes my shopping, trips around the world, she even gives me my own book and pen to write down ideas. Besides, neither of you were rude, I don't have enough people in my life to really offended."

"Your keeper sounds rather nice. I miss traveling around." Ray sighed as she thought back to her travels but Drake just shook his head. "That journey wasn't a joy ride and you know it." "Yeah yeah...but it hadn't have happened then we wouldn't be where we are now." Drake thought about that for a moment then shrugged. Sure, living in a kingdom where you're respected is nice but having to lead an army of elves wasn't so fun.

"Well, they say traveling is good for the mind and the soul. I don't know about many other people, but I've enjoyed all the places we went to."
The muse took a sip of her soda, and after she swallowed, she decided to try some conversation. "So, how about you two? Where do you like to go?"

"Good for the mind and soul...sure, if you want to lose your mind and have your soul sucked out." The elf sighed. "Drake, you're a bottle of sunshine." She then looked back to Sophia. "We travel where ever we need to. More of a business, saving the world, sort of thing rather than for entertainment. But I do enjoy traveling the seas." Drake muttered and added quietly, "You and that damn boat..."

Both of them raised a brow at her. "A job? What kind of job?" He didn't usually do something for people he just met but Ray was right next to it and he knew she'd want him to help anyways. "Well, I suppose we could, depending on the job."

Sophia breathed deeply; she hoped she wasn't going to get laughed at. "I've been having a problem with a vampire as of late. He's obssessed with me, and I can't even talk to other men without him telling me to stay away from other males. He thinks of me as his exclusive woman, and I can't go out in public without him making some comment about how I look or about how I shouldn't hang around other men."
Sophia then blushed. "I need to know what I'm up against; he can speak to me mind-to-mind, but other than that, I know almost nothing. Would it be possible for you to get some information...?"

Drake smirked and Ray blinked, almost wanting to laugh, but not at her. "Ah, well, this is interesting. I'm not sure about gaining information but if we could find him, I could get rid of him...permanently." Her golden eyes sparkled at the possiblity of killing another vampire though her first kill would also be the best. "You say he's telepathic? Does he speak to others or just you? And what kind of information do you want? His location? Ray won't hesitate to get rid of him if we find him."

"I'm sure he can speak to others with his mind, but he likes to focus on me. In fact, if you can hear people speak mind-to-mind, then you'd be able to to hear him. As for getting rid of him, I don't know how powerful he is. He's threatened to kill a godling and his girlfriend if they interfered, so I don't know if he'll be ruffled by you two."
Sophia then handed the two of them 50 Gold as a down payment. "I would pefer that you killed him, but if he's too powerful, then at least tell me where he resides. It's me he wants, and if he's that determined to have me, he can follow me into hell."
((I have to get off, hope we can continue the story later...))
