The tiny voice in my head is screaming something about pain and suffering right now... And I like the look of the FW super heavies more than the plastic kit, they just look better in my opinion. But cheap Stormblade! My gods it's a hard decision, money or looks...

I'm going with the hybrid plastic-resin kit this Summer probably, its cheaper and they still look great, regardless of whatever the die-hards might say. Plus they'll fit in more with the regular plastic Baneblades and Hellhammer I have.

Well, they're really not that much cheaper than an entirely resin Baneblade, if you count in the cost of the GW plastic Baneblade and the resin conversion kit. £130~135 for the conversions, £140-150 for the real deal. Don't get me wrong, I think they look great. I'm just saying that they're really not that much cheaper.
Also, I really hate those bloody wires on the Grenadiers. As the proud owner of two squads, I've nearly killed something trying to put those things together.

Actually, the hybrid kits are complete, made up of the resin upgrade parts and a complete plastic Baneblade kit. That's almost half the price of a full blown resin super-heavy. A regular plastic Baneblade costs £60,- so paying £25,- extra for resin upgrade kit seems like a deal to me.
How much trouble with those wires actually? I'm (hopefully) expecting some Elysians with flamers sometime next month, so some idea of how to fix their wires would be great.

you guys think it would be to weird if I painted one of my army groups one color and then painted the other group the a different color. But to make sure that they are part of the same army there flag is the same. Basically my cadians are one color and my death world troopers another, do you guys think that is cool or wrong or something else?

Well, technically they are two different regiments, they're just fighting together... So I suppose it wouldn't be too weird. As long as they all fit nicely with each segment of the army.

well the back story for my army is is that my troops landed on a chaos infested world were they fought in a long war were there wasn't a key winner so the Imperium sent reinforcements. But only a small portion was able to land and the ship containing the main force was blown up by a chaos agent who planted powerful explosives on the enginges. Thus leaving the original the army and the reinforcements to fight to survive because they have lost all contacts with the Imperium. Also chaos is growing in power on the planet since many of the locals are being corrupted by the powers of darkness. so I guess in a way they are remnants. Also does games workshop still make the steel legion because I'm having a hard time finding them online.

I think Steel Legion is a Forge World creation isn't it? I'm not entirely sure.

DKK is Forgeworld, Steel Legion is standard store. Also, on Forgeworld's infamous wires, your best bet is to use something that you can use to pin it down or to use a small droplet (as damn small as you can get it) of water (or saliva if you want a little stronger bond) to create a light bond until you can put some of the purer stuff down to cement it in good. Also: super glue gel. Works wonders for those things that you think won't go together easily.

Just go to Walmart and get the acrylic paint there... It's a better choice in the long run when it comes to money.

When you have a tank company, is it possible to have a Baneblade Command Tank followed by several Leman Russ?
