Asuka smiled "I know, I just wanted to get those two out of our hair first, no need to havem cramping up our style, right? We can teleport now if you wish, I'll go for Xiaedessa while you distract Brahma, I need you to make sure he doesn't interfere while I probe her mind, otherwise both Xiaedessa and I could die."

"It won't matter how many we are, or ifwe are split up, he just has to be held off until Xiaedessa awakens, and the guys will jst slow us down. My uncle is cool and all, but you know Bardok can be the most brash hothead around when it comes to any sort of battle. Need I remind you of yoru spat with him earlier? It is thigns like that which aided my decision to leave them behind. At least this way, they will think we just got there first, and they don't have to be hurt by7 the truth. Anyway, we are wasting time, ardok and Izumi are probably halfway there by now, let's go!" She grabbed Koori's hand and teleported them to the Chamber holding Xiaedessa and Brahma. She looked aroudn and observed the guardians would not enter the area, and she nodded to Koori "Brahma, you must give Xiaedessa back!"

Izumi kept his course, Bardok right behind him, as they weaved along the slim, dangerously narrow pathways. they had made good progress,a nd were already halfway to the endpoint. Izumi had done well at avoiding injury, but Bardok had sustained an acid burn to the shoulder from a drippy pipe above them a ways back. e kept focus, but spoke to Bardok "You know, I bet Asukla is already there by now, let's hasten our progress, I can see the corridor off in the distance, it will lead us out of this hellhole"

Xiaedessa lay unconscious on the altar, and she grunted slightly in her sleep as Asuka entered the room

"Asuka Ziler, Pillar of strength, why have you come, this is not your place. I cannot allow you to interfere, please forgive me as I must remove you by force!" He turned to reveal his dismal expression, and he raised his left hand. Instantly, the entire city was engulfed in a dense, golden mist, preventing entry by anyone else. He suddenly appeared behind Koori "You have made a mistake in coming here, and it may cost you your life"

Brahma sent a blast of supercharged shards of wood at Koori. He appeared across the room "No mercy will be shown, I am not permitted to do so!" He charged up a superblast that, without the barrier around the shrine, would possibly easily destroy the entire island "Prepare yourselves for the shining abyss...goodbye, children"

((Alright, I'll try to focus more with her character...like Vain said, less dominant, more blunt...)
Asuka had taken the opportunity to sneak behind the altar as Brahma focused on Koori. She grabbed Xiaedessa, and slapped her across the face "Wake up, you silly girl! You are such a bother, seriously, always getting kidnapped and passing out!"
Brahma's expression did not change, nor did his charge falter "So you believe..." A guardian grabbed Asuka from behind and latched onto her, in a position that prevented her from using any of her skills to get out of it. He finished his charge as she struggled and yelled at the unconscious Xiaedessa
"Forgive me, Asuka Ziler, your love is now confined, so it will be written, so it will be done!" His arm came down to release the blast, but he cried out in pain as a golden, segmented sword flew from the entrance hall, spearing him. Behind him, stood Xiaedessa, eyes glowing soulless and bright lavender, her expression grim. Brahma's sunk to the ground with a smile "Ah, my dearest Iris, I have finally been graced with release from my bonds of eternal destiny...you all did well, we may well meet again, perhaps...in the next life..." He melted away, as if he had been made of the miasma to begin with. Back up on the surface, the miasmal fog was rapidly deteriorating, and within minutes, was completely gone, revealing a beautiful, moonlit ocean view.
Cosmona sat on the beach next to Cyrus, who was now sober, enjoying the cool breeze that had replaced the mist. The view was gorgeous, and the ocean sparkled with a dark opalescent glimmer. She traced the furry muscles of his chest and belly with her fingers, noticing the gentleness in his demeanor. She gazed over to Patwinka with a smile "Well, it looks like this trial has been passed...I do hope we are as fortunate with the trials up ahead."

Xiaedessa stood there, her aura completely unfamiliar to the usual, clumsy, lackadaisical demeanor she typically held.. She bent over and picked up her blade, and turned to the sealed wal just as Izumi and Bardok arrived on scene ready for action "You may all go now, there is no further use for you here" Her voice was no longer sweet and caring, but hollow and omnipotent. She was glowing with a lavender energy, and she approached the wall. "I thank you" In a flash of white light, she had teleported the four of them back onto the beach, and the guardians had turned back into stone. That having been done, she stepped through the sealed wall, the bearrier finally breaking, and entered the inner sanctum. Here, the laws of time and space did not apply; no one, not even the Terrens or Elementals, could enter this place. She approached the pedestal, where an ornate cushion rested. Upon it, lay a beautiful white tiara, adorned with many pink and lavender jewels, and a single large Onyx in the center of the headpiece. She knelt, and lifted it off of the pedestal, then placed it around her head. Instantly, the Tiara was absorbed into her head, leaving only the jewels protruding from her head like a crown around her temple. She turned and left the sanctum, and resealed the wall. She teleported to the beach, where everyone was waiting, and stood before them brimming with newfound power "Eternity has spoken, and now, here before you, I have claimed the power that is rightfully mine!" Her voice was still dark and unnerving, and the energy around her gave off an eerie presence
Xiaeriene stood up suddenly as Bardok nd the others suddenly popped up on the shore, and as she headed toward them, her cousin appeared on the tide, standing on the water. She backed away as a sharp chill ran down her spine, and she turned to Haruto with a whisper "Um, is it just me, or is Dess acting kinda scary?"

Everyone was at a standstill upon Xiaedessa's appearance. Patwinka kept silent, feeling the harshness within the girl. She was difinitely different; darker, more hostile, and she wondered about what had surpassed in the shrine. She looked to Haruto with an expression of intensity "Go to her"
