Actually, I found that line very odd, considering Jedi often deal with absolutes in Dark/Light sides of the force. In fact it is dealt with very much by Jacen (Han and Leia's Son) And even Luke. It takes an old Jedi Knight to convince them that all anger is not bad anger. But even in the older movies, the Light and Dark side are used as absolutes.
And that is more than anyone in here wanted to hear about my Star Wars philosophy sweatdrop

alas, both light and dark sides of the force are an ever-wavering path one needs to continually decide to follow. neither is ever set, and thus, is not absolute.

Good is relative. Although I personally believe there is a certain set of morals that ever person has, but it is often ignored or clouded over. Such as killing others. Something deep down tells us this is wrong. But Good is relative, you see, some may say the War in Iraq is good because we are "freeing innocents" while others may say it is bad because we are killing the people we are trying to "save."

true, everybody has their own beliefs of what is good and what is not.. but i stand by what was written. i will continue rescuing kitties from tree branches, helping old ladies cross the street, and surrendering to the occasional need to imbibe some alcohol.

If you follow that rule, however, what do you do when someone treats you wrongly?
Do you treat them as they would seem to want you to treat them or do you treat them according to how you as an individual would want to be treated?

in that case, i treat them as i feel they deserve to b treated... i mean, if i were to act rudely to someone for no apparent reason, then id ultimately deserve to b treated rudely in return.
then again, theres also much to b said for turning the other cheek wink
