After finishing his barrage on Kaori, Theodin was suddenly blown back and cut up slightly by a stream of wind. Then a moment later, he and his clone were both stuck in mud, but that didn’t bother them much. After another few seconds, he was nearly overcome by a sudden surge of insecurity. Pushing the insecurity aside, Theodin tensed his legs, preparing for a pounce, the suddenly burst free of the mud, closing the distance between him and Kaori in nearly an instant, immediately throwing a right hook at her head, followed by a left side round kick to her ribs. Once his foot had planted after the kick, he torqued his hips and brought an uppercut towards her diaphragm, trying to totally knock the wind out of her. He then spun around her side to her back, wrapping his arm around her neck, locking it into a rear-necked choke, aiming to choker her out. Meanwhile, his clone was still stuck in the mud.

Kaori growled lowly, like an angry cat, she managed to dodge the punch to the head, but not the roundhouse to her ribs, but she used her cat-like reflexes, honed from years of being close to Nova, and playing with her, and twisted her spine at a nearly impossible angle, so that the blow meant to knock the wind from her was only a glancing one, though not fully dodged. When Theodin grabbed her by the neck in a rear-choke hold, she growled louder and twisted, not trying to throw him off, but rather, in a way similar to a cat, in that they twisted their entire body and managed to contort themselves in such a way that granted freedom; merely because the grip of the one holding them was loosened. She twisted to and fro until she had actually managed to twist herself up onto the large male’s shoulders and sank her claws into his hands, not enough to do permanent damage, but certainly enough to cause him to lose his grip due to the pain and blood making things slippery. When he didn’t immediately release her, she focused her chakra and used it to distill the air, making the wind blast out in a three foot radius.

Nova padded over to Kohaku and curled around him, even sitting as she was, she was so much larger than the tiny human. She butted her head against his shoulder and rumbled,
“Kaori is strong, she will be fine little cub.” She told him as she watched the spar intently. She batted some stray Kihakugan flowers over to Kohaku and looked at him, “So relax.”

Holding Kaori in the choke, Theodin suddenly felt her squirming around, and realized that she was somehow managing to wriggle out of his lock. Next thing he realized she was on his shoulders, growling. He then felt a sudden pain in his hands as she dug her claws in, which caused him to give up what grip he had left. Then out of nowhere wind shot out from her, cutting Theo a bit as he was thrown back towards where his clone was still stuck in the old mud. Giving the clone a serious look as it broke its feet free of the mud, the two Theodins nodded, then face back towards Kaori. Flashing a few handsigns, six, ten foot tall tornadoes formed around Kaori as he made more handsigns, which caused a thousand needles of water to form all around Kaori. With a nod, the clone twitched its hand, sending a lighting wave towards Kaori as the original made the tornadoes and water needles converge on her. The total effect would cause electrified water needles to be thrown at kaori from all possible angles while she’s being cut by the wind of the tornadoes.

Kaori was cut in several places from the tornadoes, and suffered mild shock and several water needles, but she performed the substitution jutsu all shinobi are taught before she could suffer the full brunt of his attack. She then formed a clone of her own, the two of them moved with the rapid speed and grace of their feline partner and landed behind Theodin ans his clone. They dug their claws into their shoulders, and held their fangs near their throats, as if going for a killing blow, like they would have in a true battle to the death; rather than the spar this was. Kaori then used her flowers once more, in conjunction with her clone, and they both forced the feeling of defeat into both Theodins.

Suddenly Theodin saw Kaori disappear from the middle of the storm of jutsu he’d released. Not long after unleashing that combination he’d come to his senses, realizing he’d lost control and gone overboard. As Kaori’s claws suddenly sunk into his shoulders, the pain caused him to drop to his knees where she had her fangs at his throat. As he felt overcome with a sense of defeat he couldn’t stop of a couple tears form rolling from his eyes. “I’m sorry, Kay-chan, I lost control of myself there for a minute and went way overboard and almost killed you with that combination.” Standing back up, Theodin released his clone and turned to face Kaori, smiling slightly “You win, Kay-chan, good match.”

Kaori smiled and released her jutsu, then dismissed her clone and helped Theodin up, and hugged him,
"It's alright. You gave me a challenge, and I'm thankful for it. I didn't feel useless. You let me teach myself that I can survive, and that I can rise against adversity. So thank-you." She told him sincerely. She had learned a lot in this spar, and she only hoped he wouldn't beat himself up too bad for losing control. Truth was she'd just barely stopped herself from digging her claws deeper, and actually sinking her fangs into soft flesh. She knew she was more animal than human at times, "You fought well. Again, thank-you."

James watched the "spar" in something of a mixed feeling. He was always proud of Suna ninja, and especially proud of his son, but Suna ninja never really "Sparred"
The fact was that Suna nin were too strong and too determined to actualy pull punches, and the only difference between a spar for them and a real fight was nobody was purposefully killed. James didn't have any suprises that the kids went to far fighting. James had punched a hole in Ganchou's chest before, and literally killed Hawaido in his VOID exam. It made James think of old times, and Sanshi's familiar Biorhythm pulsing in the beams above just made it all more nostalgic.
James approached Kaori and Theodin, already knowing the extent of the damage they had taken because of his biosense.
"Ok, Ladies first guys, lets get you both patched up."
James then dove into healig Kaori, ripping out one of Theodin's needles and healing the hole, patching her burns. James method of healing was mostly raw power. healing chakra pouring out of him to fix wounds temporarily worse from quick and brutal extractions or cleanings with his razor sharp scalpel.
When James would finish with Kaori he would move to Theodin and give him the same treatment, carefully and efficiently treating the damage of the fight down to the last wound, but sparing his patient no pain to make the proper happen.

Ayame shook her head and stood, she couldn't really say anything to them for she had almost killed Knives in their spar, and had on purpose yet not on purpose killed Manda. "Good job both of you. Kaori next time use Nova as an extension of yourself don't just shove her off to the side in any way. Yes your companion is a ninja in and of herself, but this would have been a great time to learn to work together some more." She said patting Daichi on the head as he stood next to her. She kept her tone even she wasn't mad or anything just educating the youngins. "You are a tamer, act like it. Theodin, keep your cool. If Kaori hadn't done what she did your father would be bringing her back to life instead of healing wounds. You dumped too much chakra in one spiel, what if that had been a battle which would have gone on longer? You would be dead. You are not at a high enough rank to handle that. Also you need to learn strength and weaknesses throughout the battle. The quicker the better." She looked at them both, and Daichi spoke, "Kaori your strength is melee combat you're a tamer we are more so designed for close quarters than anyone. Theodin never, EVER get in melee range of a tamer. Once again, we are built for that s**t. You should have disengaged and just bombed her. You are made for that." Ayame crossed her arms over her chest, "Are we understood?"

Theodin smiled as Kaori thanked him for pushing her in the match, but was still beating himself up about it internally. He winced as James healed everything up . When Ayame started her lecture, Theodin stood and calmly listened to her speak. When she finished, he replied “Yes Ma’am, though I only really closed distance because one of Kaori’s jutsu took away my fine chakra control for a while, and you don’t have to lecture me about keeping my cool, I’m beating myself up about it as it is, mom.” He then waited to hear what else she has to say, if anything.
