Um, you mean a sphere? And yeah, it would be infinite, in a way, I guess. xd But the surface area would still be a finite number, you know? Like, a circle still has a finite number attributed to its circumferance.

And I know! You'd think it would be easier for them to see it through our eyes then for us to see it through their eyes, seeing as their mind goes, "They're trying to enslave all women" at the worst, and our minds are -all- going, "They are killing thousands everyday." And possibly that their main group, Planned Parenthood, is conspiring to kill even more in order to make more money by doing such things as giving out ineffectual condoms...

No no, I mean a circle. I think a Sphere works too though. The surface area has to be finite, but the shape is infinite, isn't it?

I can see how they feel, "They're directly trying to strip me of my rights!" It's a threat to self, not a threat to people in general. Since we've already survived past the danger zone, we shouldn't be concerned about it, or at least not as concerned as they should be about losing their rights, I guess the reasoning goes.

A loop is infinite, but a line isn't but at the same time is. See a line never meets with another part of it, so it must be finite, but we never see thew end, meaning it is infinite. A circle, that's finite, it's a shape, with set boundaries.

A sphere, is finite, since again it is a shape. But the universe... a space so vast, that how can it just be a cube on a white pallete... it just can't be. That's why a sphere works, it is uniform, equal everywhere, and is theoretically infinite. It is a set shape, but at the same time, like I said before, it's sides are wormholes.

Oh, the rest of the statement was 'if they were intelligent, they would be pro-choice.'
I still can't see how and why they don't even consider our side being truth... it's so selfish and self-centered.... ninja yeah...

Indeed. The question, "Have you ever thought that your side may be wrong?" is more suitable for them. I mean, if the pro-life movement is wrong, then we are guilty of trying to deny women a right. But if the pro-choice movement is wrong, then they are responsible for the mass murder of innocent children. So would it be better to be pro-life and wrong or pro-choice and wrong? confused

ninja I have no idea what you're talking about. I guess you're still in Norway? I was gonna say, "It was 6:20 there," but if you're in Norway, I guess that wouldn't be true. sweatdrop

Okay covering all matters, pun meant.

Lyme, hell ya I'm fine. I was laughing when I posted that, because the pure hypocricy of the statement made me choke on my lemonade. These people support intelligence and open-mindedness.... yeah.... right. xd

Naw, I'm fine, just pointing out something that needs to be seen.

Oh and about matter and the universe... matter is finite, yet the universe is not, since as you say, how can there be an end to it in anyway shape or form. Unless it is a sphere that connects to itself, like the edges are one big wormhole. Meaning that there are boundaries, except that you can move around without limits, but you have boundaries.

It's like pac-man, except 4-D. And a wormhole is well... lets make space a flat plain, now fold the plain and its like going through space like that.

But seriously, think about it, can the universe have a stopping point?

just because we can't see it doesn;'t mean it doesn't end. sure, it may not be measurable or concieveable by our means, but does that mean that, relatively speaking, the earth is infinite to an ant?an ant could never see the end of the earth, given their life span and size. thus, to them, it continues forver in all directions. being larger and having more time, we are able to see that in fact, the earth IS finite, and does end. infinity, in it's pure sense, cannot be relative. it either goes forever and started nowhere or it is not infinite. and i don't mean "functionally infinite" as in, the term for a number so large that it would be impractical to get a detailed or final count. for example, grains of sand on earth. i mean truly forever.

edit- maybe i spend too much time thinking and should worry more about gas money sweatdrop

But the thing is, if you think about it, if you include nothingness as part of the universe, it has to go on forever. Otherwise there has to be a point at which there is some sort of wall built around everything, or it has to turn back on itself (I.e., if you travel long enough in a straight line, eventually you will be right back where you started.)

Well earth is finite, we know this for a fact, but the universe.. well then it would be a vacum of matter, inside a pseudo-space which could in then be inside another 'space'. See what I mean, The universe is like a giant pacman world, remember when you went through the one tunnel and ended up on the other side. Well same concept here.

norhingness can't be included because it is nothingness. it's what doesn't exist... and technically, even less than that.

Why can't it be included? If you don't include the nothingness, what do you include? There's a hell of a lot of nothingness between the stars. Why should the nothingness after the stars be any different?
