I like the one at the bottom but its a little dark, maybe increase the lightness and if that looks bad, maybe the contrast too

Your a bit of a tough icon critic.....anyways I fixed the letters and airbrushed around the edge a bit to pull it togather. The iocon is in the same post as the last edit.
Im thinking about doing icons for my other favorite members of Morning Musume, sorta like a set.

not too bad. Could use a bit of work on anatomy and proportions. Don't worry about it, I have the exact same problems. Just keep practicing.

Just got a free download of some 3d Rendering programs! Only available until Sept. 6th! get them from the company website www.daz3d.com Here's a really sweet desktop I made with it. Space Bubble Desktop

I used Bryce Version 5 on the bubbles. They turned out really nicely. I meant to have a meteor in the reflection or something, but the colors looked out of place, so I chucked it and kept it fully black and white.
You can download Bryce 5 until Sept. 6th for free from the DAZ site I linked to above. It's worth every free penny!

Sweet, now that makes me wish I had my own computer so I could download what I wanted. Lets see umm well I havent been doing much with art lately but perhaps photography....mainly with my cats. I'll upload one ^^;;
