Lonni was feeling pretty miserable about herself, ashamed to the point where her whole face was tinged red. She bumped into a Raevan and then proceded to smack her head into his chest! The mousey like woman's kneeds felt like jelly as she mumbled to herself, stumbling among the crowds while holding her camera.
"Idiot..... idiot.... idiot.... idiot.... idiot," became like a mantra to her as her brown eyes glossed over from both the humiliation and tears.
"AH!" Lonni screeched, her fingers now revived from their morbid state to frenzily rummage in her camera bag. Notes dear woman, notes! Review the notes she had from her briefing and then write more notes on the actual festival!
With a new purpose that doesn't involve with bouncing into people, Lonni clutched at her small notebook as if her life depended on it. Failure was not an option.
Rapidly flipping the pages, the meek woman finally came upon the photographic description of the Raevan she bumped into. Her world seemed to spin on itself.
"Oh dear gods," she moaned, trembling.
She just bumped into Lazarus, the first Raevan and the only documented Sigel! Although her urge to squeak and hide in a corner was high, the professional within the tremulous woman soon overcame that urge. This was an opportune moment and she must not let it escape!
Shoving her notebook into her camera bag, the brown haired brown eyes simple Lonni whirled on her heels, camera in hand and ready.
SNAP! went her camera in a brilliant flash of light.
"Perfect," she grinned.
She was able to make it in time to capture a picture of Lazarus as he apparantly glared at a golden ball through narrowed eyes. The studio and the big client would love this shot, no questions asked.
Beaming with pride and joy, Lonni stood back into the ready position, looking at the crowd through her lens, slowly turning so that she could see more. It was then that she noticed a young woman apparantly discreetly trying to eavesdrop on another Raevan, this one with mechanical wings and a unicorn horn. A quick mental flip through her notebook revealed the name; Gage.

The Ungulakraken's eyebrows rose as Josh's saucy reply piped up. "But of course you get a reward," she said, face gravely serious. Stopping as they came to the grassy clearing, she turned to face Josh. With one hand that moved a little too fast to be her normal speed, Alice reached an indigo hand out to ruffle his hair. "Gotcha."
Her tentacles were rather pleased that Josh wanted to snag at them, and waved all around her back excitedly, she grabbed one with lightning accuracy, holding it at her side as if nothing had happened. "My physical form is a mere two animals combined, yes," Alice said, flopping onto the grass carefully. "I can be...other things too, but this is my most comfortable form to be in." Sneakingly, her bottommost one crept along the grass like an inchworm towards Josh. She pretended not to notice.

Bard practically growled at the woman's retort. What the hell did she know? She hadn't been here the whole time. She hadn't heard the conversation. SHE hadn't been punched in the nose. And now she was going to belittle him for having a target for a face? No thanks. "Something else will go wrong if you do not mind your own business, mam. My friend here and I were only having a conversation when the boy went nuts. I'll point out to you that neither of us hit him and thus neither of us were fighting and thus I would like it if you didn't act like my mother when I'm damned sure I'm older than you. We weren't fighting verbally either so don't give me any of that." Bard's eyes flickered dangerously and it was all he could do to keep his voice at a normal volume when speaking to the woman. Some people just thought they knew everything.
Brows lifted though and all the anger seeped out of him when Rivener came in close, blowing on his skin as if Bard had hung a wind-chime from his ear. "What is your type then?" the man asked casually with a shrug as he began wiping down the counter and putting things back where they belonged. Bard had never really had a 'type' and he was terrible at judging other people's, so generally he just didn't care. It wasn't going to stop him anytime soonjust because he 'wasn't someone's type'.
At the arrival of Lazarus, Bard just gave a wave, even though he'd not even gotten a hello, but that didn't really matter to him. What Bard did notice though was the tiny blush on Rivener's cheeks (which he thought was too cute), and the extra added sex appeal put into the other's actions. Another drink? No thanks, there really wasn't anything on the menu that Bard was interested in honestly and although the iced mocha hadn't been horrible, he wasn't all that excited about another one. "I'd rather try something else, but I think I'd get in trouble for it," Bard replied softly, leaning against the newly cleaned counter and toying idly with the cloth in his hands.
It would seem, however, that attempting to flirt with someone working at a drink counter on a very warm day was not a good idea as a rather green looking creature floated up. Blinking curiously, Bard watched as he was ignored in the wooing of women process. Not that he cared, the only woman he'd sucessfully wooed had up and ruined him. Bard wasn't about to give the kid any pointers. Turning his head he looked to Lazarus and Rivener, incredibly curious about their answers himself.
Fangs watched the Gwee with an indifferent eye. He didn't care for the deformed looking creatures and he didn't care if they thought they could threaten him, though lucky for him they seemed to be quite uninterested at the moment.
Flipping his tail, Fangs gave a tiny yawn and a stretch, arching his back before pulling himself up onto his paws and shaking out his wings. He question did not get a responce from the feline. Fangs was simply interested in getting away from his 'owner' and whatever he did while he was away didn't matter to him. Alex didn't have anything to offer that Fangs would want, and it wasn't like he'd picked her out of the group to go flying into or anything!

Revanica, by the time she had made her way back to the benches that she claimed as 'hers' were filled. She glared at these happy-go-lucky munchies- well humans before turning back. She didn't notice where Josh had gone off too. He still had her drink too. Her face turned into a scowl, but she inched her way ever so closer to the booths. It was all her fault really. She HAD to get a balloon. And donate.
Speaking of which... It felt good to have done that. Instead of random acts of evil she was slowly succumbing to the random acts of kindness that seemed to prevail as she learned her way about Gaia. Vaguely she remembered that as a being in which she still had her soul, she would do that on occasion. After her her trip thinking into herself she became aware of things actually happening to the booth. Perhaps that raevan was too busy to notice a disguised dragon saunter up to get something.
She waited in line after another one of those floating half formed creatures. This one was green. She began studying its limbs and its well formed back, muttering to herself in her native, hissing tongue.

Josh’s face broke into a wide smile as his hair was jumbled into disarray, “Hey there!” He whined as he attempted to fluff his lock back into their proper position… to no avail. Josh still had one particularly unruly cow lick sprouting from the top of his head.
Josh chose to remain in a standing position and stared off towards the stage eager to see what the announcement was about. “I wouldn’t mind being able to change forms. It ought to be fun!” Josh’s eyes fogged over slightly in thought as he nursed such ideas as being able to turn into a lion or a bird. He never noticed the tentacle wading through the trimmed grass.

The woman couldn't help but shake her head in amusement. No matter what the feline was, it was certainly a cat in that it only wanted what it wanted, when it wanted, and that was that. Alex stood and stretched, casting another glance towards the date auctions, remembering to keep an ear out for Natsuki. In the mean time, she wanted to check on her boothmate to make sure he was doing all right.
She didn't have to look far. A quick once over revealed Sevilin and Ravi both watching the enigmatic and beautiful Vyn. What the female Frei's intentions were was anyone's guess, but the Italian had a feeling that the Raevan knew exactly what she was doing. "Everything going good over there?" she called jovially to the blue-haired Raevan, waving towards him and Ravi. "You be nice there Ravi, or I'll make you dance." It sounded ridiculous, but it was obvious that the woman was teasing and simply was in good spirits. She was a little surprised to see the stiff man out and about, but she was also quite happy to see such a positive turn out for the event.
Returning to her side of the booth, she absently started to pet Fangs, enjoying the feel of his fur that wasn't sticky and covered in grime. Her eyes inexorably turned back to where the general mass of people were gathered, curious to see if she could pick out Natsuki in the crowd.

Alice laughed again. How odd, to be treated like nothing was strange with her, and oddly refreshing. She had forgotten how nice it was to be in the company of younger people. They were often much kinder even if it was borne from naivety.
"It's more tiring than fun," the Ungulakraken mused, turning her head to follow Josh's gaze to the stage. "I have a human shape too, but it takes a lot of work to keep ...all this, compacted into that body. She's much smaller-- shorter than you, even."
Alice's tentacle stretched itself, bending its shape a little by making itself thinner in order to get longer-- and poked at Josh's thigh like a puppy would, begging for petting.
The girl herself, however, had her eyes trained on the stage now. "Is that the "Mr. Sweet" that was called up a moment ago on stage?" she asked Josh, hoping he knew more than she did, not embarrassed by her lack of knowledge at all. How would she learn if she did not ask, after all? Shame was a rather human emotion.

Fangs was just pondering flying off to enjoy himself elsewhere when a hand suddenly came at him and began stroking his fur. Yes. This woman knew how to treat a feline. A deep purr picked up, clearly coming from the kitten whose half lidded eyes only showed a partial amount of the enjoyment he was feeling. Squirming slightly, Fangs would twist and shift in any way that he could to make sure she reached all the right spots, specifically the area around where his wings connected with his back. Scales and fur did not mix well together in the small creature's opinion, but Bard usually did well enough to keep the itching to a minimum.
After being pet to his content (which of course didn't mean being pet until he could stand it no longer, for petting was an activity the feline could enjoy for hours), Fangs rolled onto his back and batted his paws idly at her fingers before sniffing at them curiously and giving a hesitant lick to the tips.

Rivener was smiling at Bard. He could very well guess what the man wanted to try, that might get him into trouble. Rivener had half a mind to give him that, but he snickered at the thought of Roux finding out, and getting all upset... He'd be in TERRIBLE trouble if he did anything like that with a human, and Roux knew.
No reason he couldn't at least bask in the attention.
"My type..." He mulled it over before turning his smoldering eyes on the purple-haired man. "My kind is my type," he said, motioning at his lower half, and glancing momentarily at Laz.
That's when Gage came up, slamming his palms down in a definately uncharacteristic burst of emotion. Rivener, seriously, was shocked to see the usually so soft-spoken Raevan act this way. In all honesty he didn't think Gage was capable of emotions.
The question was even worse. "Talk to girls? Why would you want to?" He scrunched up his nose. "They cling and ask for things and squeal and hop around... But if it's Vyn then it might be cool. I mean, she's not so bad for a girl." Rivener tried to think of what tips he could give.
"Well, have you thought about being casual? Pretending like she's just another person? Say hi, Remember me?" He smiled, hoping he was helping.

Revanica cleared her throat with a demure 'Hmmm'. She grinned with her eyes sparkling with an unreadable gleam.
"It is c-ssertainly very easy, what did you want this talk to lead to?" she asked with an undertone of frankness that would startle most people. Her comment ended with a rich and throaty laugh. She still glanced at Laz keen on avoiding his eyes. Her response was to half-heartedly shuffle sideways a little so it would be harder to spot her.
Up this close she noticed that he was more formed than the other two raevans but, had no understanding of why this was. Possibly he was the most recient creature to have been made or was the first in which he was in a new form of the cycle that was to come. Tucking that information to be used at a later date she waited for the reactions of the two she was engaged with.
((EDIT: Urkk niiight... I will try to reply possibly tomorrow. ;_; ))

Patiently, Gage waited for Rivener to divulge in his usual sexist views before contributing some actual advice. On the inside, the green Raevan shuddered quite horribly at the mere thought of trying to act so openly around her, but he did his best to conduct himself in a more confident manner around the other Frei. After all, he had never conversed with either of them a great deal before. Gage's own boldness in asking them for aid was nothing short of absolutely astounding considering his usual demeanor, which in all probability meant he up the proverbial creek without a glimpse of a paddle. The fact some strange woman was listening to his irrefutably awkward questions helped very little to ease his tension.
"It is hard, because it is," he answered bluntly to the female. That usual pang of fear and distrust that alighted around strangers forced him to look back at the scorpion Frei far more quickly than he would have had he been speaking with a two-legged person he was familiar with. More importantly, the person on his mind had neither legs nor a stomach, but he idolized her and that was what made it so hard to accept Rivener's guidance and just go talk. "She is by the flowers and I… flowers… I can not. River, come with me. Please?"
What could be seen of Gage's face expressed immense desperation; it was mildly pitiful, but he was well beyond caring about such things. "I will not be able to say anything alone."

"How cute," Bard said with a chuckle and another look over at Laz. The man had had more than a hunch that that would be the answer so when it came he wasn't surprised and certainly didn't much care; it wasn't going to keep him from flirting. "I hope you don't mind that that little tidbit of information isn't going to change anything," he said teasingly with a wink and a shrug.
Bard had no idea who the green raevan was so his question didn't seem as shocking as Rivener obviously found it but he quite enjoyed what he did say about girls. "They usually like it when you compliment them, but try not to say anything sexy like till you know them better," attempted to suggest, though he had a feeling his suggestion would be ignored. Like Gage, Bard didn't have the slightest clue of who Vyn was, but if Rivener found her appealing and he seemed so picky then she must be quite a sight.
The horned-man felt pretty bad for the poor green fellow for he seemed like he was having a terrible time with the question and all his nerves. "I can watch the drink counter for you if you'd like..." Bard off-handedly suggested with a small smile to the Raevan. Trying to win some points with Rivener didn't seem like a terrible plan; that and it sounded like quite a bit of fun and he'd promise not to mix in any alcohol.

Rivener was more than happy to latch onto any excuse to leave his post for a while. Besides, this was Raevan business so hopefully his human customers would agree that it was highly important. Rivener offered both Bard and the newcomer woman a smile. "If you'll excuse me," he said smoothly, "I have to attend to my colleague. Bard, I would be very grateful if you did watch the booth... I'll make it worth your while," he added with a sultry smile and a wink.
Floating around to the front of the booth, Rivener nodded to Gage. "Well, we can go if you wish, then. Although if she's close to flowers like you say, is it going to be a problem? I can ask her to come with me and meet you farther from the booth if you want," he added, remembering the green frei's explanation of his nutrition.

The festival was already underway by the time Kali and Tariel arrived. The red-haired woman was not happy to be here - she'd signed up for an experiment, not for social hour. But as Tari had yet to meet any others of her own kind, Kali couldn't deny her new daughter.
"Noisy," she grumbled, eyeing the chaos with distaste. "The things I do for you..." Donating items, even. Not that jewellery was really her thing, hence giving it away, but still. Part of her hoard, gone. Unthinkable.
"Ooooh." In her excitement, Tari floated higher, trying to get a good look from a higher vantage point. "So big!"
Kali jumped and grabbed for a gauntleted wrist before Tari took off like helium balloon. "Down here, please," she requested as Tari was dragged back to earth. "No flying off today. Who knows what kind of people are here and what they'd do to you..."
Tari nodded seriously, then grinned and brandished her golden claws. "Beware the Tari."
Privately, Kali wondered if pop culture was having a positive or negative effect on her Raevan. Plus, if she was ever going to get a fence warning sign, 'Beware the Dragon' and 'Beware the Demon' were coming well ahead of the newly born Tari.

Vyn paused in her futile endeavor for a moment and glanced up at Sevilin, amber-black eyes full of quiet indignation. Although not very noticeable, an extremely discerning by-watcher might have been able to tell that the Shadow Frei was, in fact, rather upset.
"...is dying." Black nails glinted under the sun, encircling a wilted strand of baby's breath. The Rose-souled Raevan flapped her leathery wings once, tired. The sun's heat, which had felt so warm and delicious earlier, was now beginning to hurt the delicate Raevan's skin.
Very slowly, Vyn drifted back up to a more normal height, although she was still so close to the ground that the ends of the tattered black ribbons swirling around her rosy rune were nearly dragging on the ground. "The earth, won't...take...them back..." Confusion had rendered her speech even more slow and halting than usual, although it did not lose its enchanting lull. She had tried to give them back to the comfort and nuture of the soil, but it seemed to do the stalk no good. Despite the amount gentleness the placid Shadow Frei had displayed in handling the dainty plant, it was, if anything, more dead than when she first picked it up.
There were many things the walkers did that Vyn did not understand, but among those things why they would cut plants from the earth and then give the dying flowers away was the most incomprehensible.
