Akiko rolled out of bed and stood up. She took a quick look in the mirror then got her hightops. She put them on and walked out of her room to the living room door. "Alright, I'll go check this place out," she said as she left. She walked slowly and looked around. Which way should she go? What better way then forward? She just wandered off. She looked over to see a convienient store. "Wonder if they are like the ones back home?" she said walking in. Well, they looked different, but they did have slushes. Oh she loved shushies so much. Now she had to get one. She quickly poured a small one of her favorite flavor, bought it, then left to continue walking around. So far so good, seemed like a nice place.

[[Seto is working and Akiko will walk into the Kame Game Shop in my next post. Is that ok?]]

Akiko continued wandering around, sipping her slurpy. A strange looking building caught her eye- it was a bit more colorful then the others. She looked up to see it was the 'Kame Fame Shop'. She smiled, "Neat." She examined the outside a bit more before entering in. Nobody was there (since Yugi was settling in Onxy). Oh, maybe it was closed? But then the sign would have 'closed' instead of 'open'. The person was probably away at the moment. Oh well. She was about to leave when she saw something on the shelf. Akiko stopped and looked at it more in detail. "Oh my god!? This is the old Battleship game!" she said to herself in a low but excited voice. She dusted it off and started to read the box.

Akiko quickly turned her head to see a boy about her age. He seemed only a bit shorter then her- which she wasn't used to because she was short to begin with- 5'2" to be exact. She jumped a bit, she was so tuned in to reading the package that he startled her a bit. "Oh ah..... I'm sorry, I was just looking at it....." she said shly as she put it back. She couldn't help but be shy around new people. She also had a bad habit of apologizing for no reason.

[[Any idea how to incorporate Seto into the scene?]]

[[Do you think we should skip to the next day where they are in school? I think Seto has a better chance of meeting Onyx in school. What do you think? If you want to, I'll just have Akiko leave soon and Yugi and Onyx can have a last scene together.]]

"N-no. Nothing in particular. Just browsing," she said trying to keep her shyness down. "Well, um, I have to go. I'll be back though, um...." she said as she looked away and left. As soon as she exitted, she facepalmed herself. "Ughhhh, why am I so shy around people!?" she said as she went home. She was done exploring today. Tomorrow, she would have to go to her new school. She hoped she wasn't so nervous that she would get a panic attack.

[[I have an idea for her later. After school, I have an idea for how she can get her orb. Basically, she's going to get the same scar as Amme (on her torso) by maybe a motorcycle clipping her (when they drive past you and something just hits you). I think she'll go to the hospital to get stitches (maybe Yugi goes too? I dunno) and there's going to be some weird crazy guy that gives it to her. Onyx has her item right? Do you have any ideas how her yami will be awakened?]]

Seto felt his eyes close and he began to daze out. He shot his eyes open- trying to stay awake. He looked at the coffee- it wasn't working. He couldn't work like this. He stood up and walked to his bedroom. "I'll just take a small nap then return to what I was doing," he said to himself as he laid down.

~The Next Morning~

Seth laid there peacefully, his body taking every bit of restored energy it could take. Suddenly, his eyes shot open like a vipers. He shot up and looked around. "What time is it!?" he shouted.

Hearing a shout from outside Seto's room, Mokuba opened the door and said, "Seto? Are you ok? I-it's 6:30 in the morning. I was about to come in and wake you up for school since..."

Seto cut off Mokuba and shouted, "6:30am!? But that means..." He grabbed his watch off his dresser and looked at it. Yup, it was Monday. He slept all threw Sunday. s**t..... he left those idiots with his company? It's probably bankrupt. Seto stood up and ran to his computer- he had to check the stats. Thank god, everything seemed ok.

Mokuba walked in timidly and said, "Seto, don't have to get ready for school? I mean, you have to actually show up." He knew that if his brother got into work, he wouldn't leave that seat for another three days. It was amazing how in shape he was considering he sat in that chair day in and day out. Well, he did excersice.

Seto looked up and sighed, "Your right. I'll get ready," he said in a groan. The only reason he went was because he just had to show up. He was already smarter then all the students and most teachers there. He was already a successful business man, so why did he have to bother with high school? They should just give him his diploma and call it even. But no, they have to waste his time. Idiots. Seto began to get ready for school.

*BEEP BEEP BEEP* went Akiko's alarm clock. Akiko lifted her hand in the air and smacked her alarm clock until it stopped. She groaned....... why did school have to be so early? Akiko rolled over on her side, certainly not ready to get up. Old habits never die, she was always late to get up. Well, seemed like something else was planned for her- there was banging at her bedroom door. Akiko opened her eyes and stretched. She shouted back at the door, "Nevermore!" as she was reminded of the poem by Edgar Allan Poe.

"The raven says get up or else!" came from outside. It was her father, he was getting ready for work and decided to help his daughter get up. Well, she probably couldn't get back to sleep- so Akiko laid there and attempted to get herself motivated to get out of bed. "Ok, I'm up," she said giggling a bit. That was her dad for her.

Joey was headed to Yugi's house when he saw him and a new girl exit out. He dashed over to the two of them and called out, "Hey Yug!" He stopped when he was near them and greeted, "Morning!" He then looked at Onyx and said, "Well, who is this lovely lady?" Joey smirked a bit, he couldn't help but flirt with any cute girl he saw. Afterall, he was a teenage boy.

It took Seto no time to get ready. As he showered, his servants got his bag ready as well as his breakfast. Seto jumped out of the shower, dried off, and changed into a clean uniform. He made sure he looked perfect before moving away from the mirror. Mokuba was already eating his breakfast when Seto came down. He ate his as well. Two limos were prepared: one to take MOkuba to his school and the other to take Seto to his high school. The two brothers left together, said their goodbyes, and went into their own limo. The driver began driving to the high school.

Akiko scrammbled to get ready. She was so nervous. She hated it, going somewhere that she didn't know anybody. She had taken her shower the night before- her hair was even still a bit damp. No matter, she put on her uniform since she was able to get it from the school. Even though she liked skirts, she hated the uniform. It was something she never had to do at her prevous school. Oh well, it was the rules. The only thing was, she didn't have the white knee socks to go with it. So she put on her stripped socks- same thing right? She knew she couldn't wear her hat, but she did anyway. She would just take it off if told to. She grabbed her bag and ran down stairs. Ack! No time to eat. Akiko grabbed a pack of poptarts and her lunch that her mom made. "Akiko aren't you going to eat..." her mom began to say.

Akiko was already out of the door as she quickly said, "No gotta run love ya bye bye!" She ran toward the school, running kinda late.
