"B-but..." Saku didn't know what to do, and she didn't want to hurt Ryuu.
"Just how do I do this? Just...focus?" She was so confused.
((What kind of powers should they have? Give me an example of what you'd like.))

((Any. Earth, water, read minds, stuff like that.) Ryuu nodded. "Maybe think of something that would make you mad. Focus your anger on me." He didn't know exactly what to do, but he needed to try something.

"Uh..." Saku scanned her mind, looking for something...anything.
A picture of Cloud entered her mind, she felt her hatred bubble up.
Her body began to tingle and before she knew it, she was running at at Ryuu.
Zelik saw it instantly, the power pouring out of her, and when Saku drew her blades it all made sense. He had to act fast.
"Water snare!" He exclaimed and water flew from the pond and snared Saku's wrists and feet.
"Hey!" Saku snapped but stopped at the look on Zelik's face. He was grinning widely.
"Look." He told her, pointing to her daggers.
Saku's eyes turned to her blades and widened considerably. Where the metal had once been was replaced with surging white energy.
"You're a light wielder. Though...." He laughed. "I didn't expect you to use your power that way."
"How is this funny?" Saku snapped, apperantly not getting the joke.
"Light wielders are healers...But you formed your's to attack magic somehow."
Saku blinked.

Ryuu saw that Zelik stopped Saku before she hit him. "Good. Now we have your power." He smiled and looked at Kyo. "Your turn.
Kyo looked up. He sighed and stood up, walking over to stand a little ways away from Ryuu. "Now what?"
"Find out what makes you angry and take it out on me like Saku did."
Kyo thought. He though about his parents and how they treated him like crap. He clenched his fists and ran and went to punch Ryuu but fire surrounded his hole fist. Kyo stopped in mid-punch and stared at his hand. The fire didn't burn him.
Ryuu nodded. "Good. You have fire. Now, Anna. Please do the same as everybody else."

Anna nodded and took a deep breath. Just concentrate, Anna. Shouldn't be too hard... She thought about sonething that she didn't like... School, hospitals...
Her brother. That time he started beating her up because she broke something of his. He punched her in the face and the stomach, and them pushed her into the rose bushes. The thorns ripped her skin up into ribbons, but she looked up and saw a rose and thought how pretty it was... the same color as her blood...
She opened her eyes, and there at her feet was a white rose with thorny branches circling her arms. But they didn't hurt. She smiled.

"A rose...How approriate." Zelik said with a smile and faced the group.
"Okay. So it seems your elements are fire, Earth, and Light. Now that we know this fact, we can properly train each of you. Kyo, fire is fierce and destructive, it takes great patience to learn to control but without control...well let's just say a lot would be at risk. Fire is good for attacking, and with training you'll learn many powerful spells for vanquishing your enemies. Anna, it seems you have the power of Earth. Earth is very stable and sure footed, it is a good offense, but a stronger defense. Many of your spells with lie in protection, not blood shed. However I can teach you several, very powerful offensive spells. And finally you, Saku. You posses Light abilities, which is...rather rare for humans, or for anyone. Light wielders are...normally... healers, but you're anger and hatred that you took out on Ryuu transformed it to an offensive weapon, the likes of which I have never seen. However, we can teach you both healing and offensive magics, provided that you are ready to work twice as hard as everyone else."
"Twice as hard!?" Saku exclaimed. "Why!?"
"For this simple reason: You lack self control." Zelik said and watched as Saku looked down.
"If I hadn't stopped you, and you would have attacked Ryuu, there would be no telling what would happen. When it comes to your offensive magic, we are dealing with a little known entity. That, in itself, is incredibly dangerous. You must learn to control yourself before you'll make any progress at all."
Saku's fists clentched and she grit her teeth.
"Fine." She said forcefully.
Zelik nodded.
"Good. Now let's get started."

Kyo held out his palm why everybody was talking and made a flame appear, then disappear. He did that over an over again."Good Anna. First I think we should meditate. Everyday we will. It will help us connect with are selfs." Ryuu found a good spot and sat down.Kyo did the same. He took a breath in, then out. It was a little hard to block out everything around him.

Anna tried not to sigh. She had the tendency to sleep whenever she meditated. And trying to stay awake while meditating usually included drinking highly cafinated beverages, which usually defeted the purpose of trying to meditate. But she sat down in the shade and closed her eyes and tried to block out everything so that she could... do whatever it was you did while meditating.

"wait everyone." Zelik said. "It is easy to block oneself to the surroundings. Ryuu, if it is okay, I would like to try another method."
"Another method? There's more than one way to meditate?" Saku asked, sitting down.
"Meditating allows for one to merge his or her body and spirit, but that isn't all it can do." Zelik said with a smile.

Anna glanced from Zelik to Ryuu. She had a rather bad feeling about this. Who knew what they were up too. Her eyes narrowed and she looked over at Jiyo nervously to make sure she had an escape route.

"Okay. Let's try this. When you close your eyes to meditate, don't block yourself out from the world. I want you to take it all in. As you meditate, I want you to be able to hear everything, feel every being around you. With your eyes closed I want you to be able to see everything around you." Zelik said.
"But...How do we do that exactly?" Saku asked.
"With you're magic of course." Zelik replied. "When you close your eyes, use your magic to see. Let it hieghten your senses, and let it flow through you. But be warned, going into this state of mind can be a little overwhelming the first time. However, when you master this state you will find your senses are sharper than ever. This form of meditation not only connects your spirit and your body, but it also connects your spirit to the world around you."
"But that I don't get." Saku said. "I can see in the dark, my hearing is sharper than normal, and my reflexes are faster than they ever were before I started coming here. You said it was the forest's affects, so what does this meditation help?"
Zelik sighed.
"The forest's magic has allready begun to affect you, Saku, becuase you've come everyday for more than a year. It was...acting upon your magic. So in the meditation, as you release your magic, the forest will send it's magic into you, allowing you to see it. All of it. It's....hard to explain. The feeling is so indescribable. Just, try it."
Saku sighed and closed her eyes, lowering her head as she concentrated. Widen her view...release her magic....somehow this seemed easier said then done.
Focus...
Then she began to feel it. It was like her consciousness was expanding. It didn't travel very far, but she suddenly felt the ants near her feet, and the rustling of the tress behind her.

Ryuu nodded. "Thats a good idea." He sat down, joining them. He remembered doing this before a couple times.Kyo closed his eyes and tried to concentrate. He sat there for a couple minutes and finally he began to feel it. He could hear the rustling around him, and the steading breathing of the others. Then a bunch of noises filled his head at once. Kyo bawled his hands into a fist, all the noises were really giving him a headach. He opened his eyes, and realized he had set the grass on fire were his fists were and quickly put it out.

Anna closed her eyes and listened. Nothing happend at first, and then she saw light, even with her eyes closed. And then saw everything. She saw everyine sitting in a circle from what had to have been sixty different angles at once. Her senses overloaded and she could see and hear badgers digging at the edge of the forest and everything inbetween. She gasped in pain and opened her eyes. When everything stopped swimming she fell down into the grass.
"Owww... Trees don't have to tell me everything!" She glanced reproachfully at them. She had realized at once that she was seeing everyone from the eyes of all the trees. No doubt it would be useful in the future, but right now it just gave her a headache.

Zelik smiled and looked appologetic.
"I said the first few times will be a bit painful." He said. "The more you do it though, the easier it becomes..."
Saku gasped, her eyes suddenly flying open and a hand flying to her head as it erupted in a sharp pain.
"Kyo," she pointed to him, "You have a bug on your shoulder..."
Zelik was impressed, they seemed to be doing pretty well for first timers. It was no suprise that the forest chose them.
Zelik walked over to Saku as water surrounded his hands and he placed them to her temples to take away some of the pain. He then did the same thing to Kyo and Anna.
