A grin played at the young girl's lips as she listened to Star. To tell the truth, she had no real knowledge of chakra control. But, telling Star that right off the bat would be death to Star's perspective on her ever becoming smart, or...so thought the Amane girl. Sari sat still for a moment, thinking of what to say. It was true, she'd stopped her chakra each time she tried to stop her flow. Her face was begining to distort into a hard thinking expression. The girl was truely searching her mind through for the answer that Star was seeking. No matter how hard she searched through her small mind, she could not come up with any sort of answer to share with the woman. Inwardly, she felt a bit ashamed she couldn't tell Star the answer she wished for.

Star looked to the girl for a long moment then moved over to her. She began to walk, taking slow, prideful steps as she moed to her. She looked the girl in the eye and grinned, "Hmmm whats wrong dear? Too much for you to understand? Maybe its beyond your mindset right now. You are quite teh chipper little thing. Maybe you don't think on subjects like this." In trueth, she didn't either when she was Sari's age but she didn't ahve to tell the girl that.

Sari thought for a moment longer before noticing Star's presence near her. "Well...I've never been asked such text book questions before...I wasn't very good at that part of the academy...Reading just isn't something I particularly enjoy..." Sari held pauses in her speak, signaling she was still deep in thought about how to answer Star's questions. In all honesty, all she really wanted to say was 'next.' Chipper? What had Star meant by that? Disregarding that little part in her speach, Sari stared to lean to one side and then the other. Swaying. Her index finger tracing her small pink lips and seemingly mumbling to herself about the question. Chakra control had always been her thing above her sister's, but...she never quite learned about it. She had to think hard about what the teacher had said about it back at the academy.

Star looked to the girl and arched a brow, "This isn't some textbook quiz girlly. This is life or death. How you use your chakra or lack there of can either make or break you. If you can't move it with the best of them, then you can't survive in this world. Specially since you are a genjutsu user. Your sister'll be fine by herself. Specially with her little boyfriend." Star began to walk off, grinning and shrugged, "I'm sure finding your dead corpse on the battle feild won't get to her too much. She seems to be a strong girl, she won't be bothered that much I'm sure. If you feel you can't answer it, just say so and we'll keep going with something you don't understand."

Sari kept her eyes on Star as she spoke. She she was right but still wanted to try. "Ninjutsu thank you very much." She said a bit hurt. How could she ever use a genjutsu? She wouldn't know how to use them in such a way to scare her opponents. Mari might, but she wouldn't. Her posture sort of slumped over when she heard the rest of what Star said. "Sh-She wouldn't do that...She'd be there with me...We're a team...sisters...she'd never leave me..." Sari was beginning to wonder about the situation. She knew Mari. Would she really try to do that? Would she be fine if Sari wasn't there? And it seemed like her and that Tadashi guy were hitting it off. Quite odd seeing as it was Mari of all people. "N-No. I'll answer it. I know it...I just...have to remember what it was..."

Sari kept her mind off of what Star said and back onto the question at hand. Charka manipulation...Clearly it involved chakra. But to manipulate it...all she knew was how to stop it...and barely at that! Sari raised her hand to her mouth and began to chew on her nail. It was an academy level question...maybe she shouldn't have fallen asleep back then...A groan came from her as she burried her head in her hands. Maybe she should give up...It was clear she didn't know how to answer. She was just too hardheaded to give up so easily... Sari raised her head and scuffed. She wouldn't do as Star said and give up and go on.

Sari groaned again and began to shift her weight from the left...and then to the right. Swaying her thoughts along with her body. The bows in her hair drifted from side to side as her hair slid over her face with each movement. Crossing her arms over her still developing chest, she had to think hard. Her being Sari...that was hard to do in the first place. She really wished Mari was here...she'd be able to figure this out in no time! Sari really wished she was more like her sister. In all but her style...She couldn't pull off her sister's look...even if they did look exactly the same. It just wouldn't work.

Sari shook her head. She couldn't have her thoughts on her sister at this point. She sighed and began to bite her nail again. The manipulation of chakra... To be able to...control it...without the thought of it? Was that it? ...Sari didn't want to say something that wasn't right....but she'd try none-the-less. "To manipulate chakra...To control the flow of the chakra within the body...such as concentrating it in your fist or something. Without the thought or trying of doing it...is..is that right?" Sari's eyes lifted to meet Star's. Sari wanted to show Star she could find the answer without giving up. And she'd do it somehow. She hoped like hell she got it right though.

Star stopped. She had been lightly skipping about the apartment, not really waiting for the girl to answer really. She was waiting for her to give up. Star wanted to drill that cold thought into her mind to try and distract her. The thought that her sister would simply vanish if things got bad or if she died. That her sister would, of course be hurt but wouldn't just stop. She'd move on quite quickly.
The girl didn't fall for it...not completly at least. A grin came across Star's lips as she had her back turned to the girl. She finally got it. Big george she's got it. A grin and a snicker left ehr lips. Hmmm how pleasing it was to see this going so well.
Spinning aorund quickly, she snickered, "Give the girl a prize. Hehehe well done, well done. Hmmm so now, think your ready to keep going?" Star felt she was ready to go on now...she understood chakra manipulation. OF course, knowing it in theory and in practice were two different things. She'd test the girl later but for now, she looked to her. Without waiting ofr her answer, she began to apply the genjutsu again. The errie sounds of the house began to work their magic again but this time, they were deeper...more bone chilling as they sounded more like screams of horror as they grew.

Over the moments that she'd been thinking, Sari had found herself sitting on the floor. Hearing Star's voice, she jumped up with an excited expression. She enjoyed training. Anything to do with her chakra really! Jutsu's were her favorite to learn back in the academy. She really wished she knew more though. Well, the only way that would happen would be if she were to get her act together and get to training! "Yes ma'am~!!!" Sari mused as she felt a sudden change. That was the feeling she had before...Star had once again put a Genjutsu on her. It was a bit more...harsh this time. It didn't feel too different from before so Sari threw off that feeling and laced her fingers together again. She closed her eyes and began to think of what Star had been asking her about. Chakra manipulation...

Sari could hear the sounds around her slowly beggining to creep up and get worse. A small sweat drop was begining to form on her brow as she kept her eyes closed. She'd have to do this quickly. Sari wasn't aware of how far Star may take it if she took too long. She tried to keep her mind clear, which at this point was a bit hard, so that she could get control of her chakra. She had to keep in mind the words she'd spoken. To control the chakra within the body...She had to remember what she'd learned from those text books she found at home. "Ah!" It clicked in her mind...finally... Controlling chakra during battle is one of the most important aspects in fighting. Another important part is to being able to build chakra to perform techniques. Building chakra is essential if you want to perform Genjutsu and Ninjutsu techniques correctly. Stamina also plays a big part in this. In order to create chakra you must convert it from stamina. When you perform techniques you not only release chakra but also stamina. Being unable to control your chakra can end up being deadly. If you release too small of an amount, the technique you tried to perform will fail. If you use too much chakra you may end up severely hurting or killing yourself. A ninja must have a certain amount of chakra in their body to live. It wasn't the chakra manipulation that Star'd asked her about, but merely about the importance and how it was done. The passage from the textbook was clear in her thoughts now that she'd thought about it. Sari remembered reading it over and over to make sure she had remembered it. But she knew, just being able to know the information wasn't going to be enough. She'd have to put it to use as well. The light haired girl sighed and got ready, "Genjutsu Kai....release!" In an instant, the sounds she'd been hearing dissappeared. She opened one eye to see Star. A childish grin could be seen creeping into her face as she awaited for Star to try another Genjutsu on her!

Hmmm the little brat was getting annoying, pompuse even. Well at least in Star's eyes she saw her as getting annoying. Yes...she'd have to n** that in the bud and fast. She grinned evily to the girl if she had gotten so quick at releasing the genjutsu, maybe it was time for a little more...fear inducing things.
Star began to stand there, with her back turned to the girl...she didn't say much after having gazed into her eyes. She only stood there, opening and closing her hand at her side. She rested her other hand on her waist and began to tap her foot slowly. Slowly her hand opened and closed to the point where you could hear her bones cracking and poping. Soon the sound would increase temendously. Her body would start to grow and mutate as she stood there. Monsterous transformations began to occure on her body before the girls eyes but this still wasn't half of what Star could do to her.

Sari wasn't much effected at first with Star's movements. It was what Mari did often when she was annoyed. Had she bothered Star like that as well? Sari looked down at Star's hand when she heard the poping noise and winced a bit. The sound increased and Sari nearly felt like covering her ears so she wouldn't hear it anymore, but she held herself still. Was Star thinking of something to put on her? Or...had she already done so? Sari was about to ask when Star's body began to reshape itself. It was small at first but soon became easy to recognize. Sari's eyes opened wide as Star began to deform and reshape. She quickly put her hands together and tried to break the spell that made Star so unrecognizable. "G-Genjutsu Kai: Release!" She held her eyes shut for a moment before opening one to see Star back to her original form. She sighed and broke her hands apart to lay them by her sides. She seemed to be getting very good at this.

[[now for a layered on. you'll need to get at least 4 successes to fully break this genjutsu. For each success you can break a different portion of it (sight, sound, touch and scent). Same rules apply though.]]
Star grinned. She could hear the girl calming and knew that she had broken it. It was about time Star stopped playing with the girl. She needed to get fully use to a real genjutsu working its magic upon her mind. Turnning around, Star looked to the girl. She began to step closer and closer too her. Her steps were slow and paced. Her eyes were blazing upon the girl as she moved. Her genjutsu had already begun.
With each step, the floor began to warp and bend under Star's feet. Soon, it would even go so far as to catch ablaze with each step she took. She moved closer and closer and as she did, the flames grew larger. To top that off, the flames gave off an unmistakable scent of brimstone(really bad eggs basically) It would grow stronger and stronger. Rotten, ancient eggs was akin to this scent but still not close.
And once more, her body begant o change but this time it was a quick, discouraging change. The color of her eyes changed from white on the outside with red puple to black on the outside with deep red puple. Wings burst from her back as she wlalked closer to her. The wings began to swing and sway, forcing air up and around the girl. It was all so real. Her hands became claws again as she came closer. She was a demon in every sense of the word now and she was coming to devour Sari.
