Mavericks goal for today was basic training once again. He had no specific goal eccept the aquisition of strength. With his sensei otherwise occupied, he figured he do this alone. There was still a craving for a moving target but that was something to worry about at a different time. He moved up to the shoreline...the sereen shore and looked out ot the water littered with trees and other such items. It seemed so peaceful and calm...it even calmed Sin a bit within him. Looking out for but a moment more, he finally pushed all the thoughts to the back of his mind. He glanced over the area at the large rock formation sitting directly over a section of wtaer. Someone had used it once before for test dummies and had left their dummies hanging from the arch of the stone formation. This would be his target, the dummies still lingering from a training past. He glanced to the items and nodded slowly to himself.
((it's like a solid rock sticking straight up with polls extended out and the dummies hanging from the polls at different hights.))
He moved over the water, applying his chakra as he stepped onto it with ease and walked further in. He placed a considerable amount of distance between himself and the dolls and closed his eyes. The sound of hte birds chirping soon fell on deft ears as he had tuned out the entire world and nothing lay before him but the very dolls he seeked to destroy. A quick motion drew the blood shuriken from his cloak. He unfolded the large thing and stretched his arms back to prepare and soon he tossed the shuriken toward the dummy.

The shuriken sailed high into the sky and flew better than Maverick ever could have hoped. It aimed for the first dummy that was closest to him. Without waiting for a hit or not, Maverick began a dash across the water. He was taking this enemy as being simply a stationary live enemy, one that would not actually enjoy just having big a** shurikens thrown at them without doing something in return and so he kept moving. The water below him splashed about as he ran across the surface. A nice slicing sound was made and it was quickly followed by a splash. Maverick looked to see a piece of the dummies body, the right leg to be exact, was sliced clean off, not even a thread was left. He soon removed another shuriken, the Ocean Fuuma Shuriken and unfolded it. His feet slide to a stop picking up a large amount of water and he altered his course along with tossing the second shuriken.

The twin Fuuma...their sounds were like music to the ears of the dark youth. He wasn't the best at any of this but he was making a lot of the right moves and he was making them fast. He dashed hard back to an area near his original position to catch the return of the Blood Shuriken. He didn't even stop to catch the item as it flew back toward him. His hand extended and he caught it and kept on his path. He couldn't stope...stop for anything and he knew he'd be dead. Moving at a realativly high speed, he made his way around to the side of the dummy and began another attack. This time, he reached within his jacket to grip something different. A quick flash of his hand moved something from within to without and through the air sailed a regular shuriken. It went sailing into the air aimed right toward the rib area of a third dummy. The sound of the chains holding up the dummy rattled as the small shuriken struck it in its side. That strength and speed were no where near fatle but they were still powerful none the less. He moved about the water, heading back to the return location of the Ocean Shuriken and had to leap a bit in the air to catch it. It was a well enough catch and the force of the jump and mommentum of the shuriken moved Maverick to a stop a ways off. He slide upon the water a bit and soon looked up to the dummies. He now heald Blood and Ocean within his hand's and soon placed one on top of the other. The serene shade of blue that covered the Ocean Fuuma Shuriken seemed to match the water and seemed the beter choice for this next technique. He soon pulled his hand back and spun around once at a fast pace and let fly the Shadow Shuriken Jutsu.

It worked just as he had imagined it. Of course, he didn't stick around to wait and see if it was succesfful. Doing so could easily get someone killed. On the battle feild, the evenironment was always changing, always evolving and those who stand still stand dead on their feet. He had learned that a long time ago through no faultof his own or anyone he knew, he just knew it. Moving again at a fast pace, he heard the sound of the two shurikens slicing into the dummies and sailing off. The whirling rapture of the sounds made Maverick feel a bit of joy I guess would could say but he didn't dwell upon it. Instead, he continued on his path carrying empty hands. His path was taking him towad the rock formation that held up the dummies. He moved up the face of the rocks, using the wall walking exercise. But this was no walk, this was a full on dash up the side of a shere cliff. Further and further he ran till he came to the top, near where the dummies where extended from. With a quick thrust of his legs, he released himself from the wall and pulled from his jacket two Kunai, one in each hand. Their black lacing made them blend in perfectly with his black cloathing and would make this perfect as he flipped back twoard one of the dummies. He didn't mean to land on it, simply to slash it in passing with one of hte kunai.

The birds do sing and the birds do fly and so does Maverick, unfortunatly a bit too far from his target. He had overstated his jump from the rock face and sailed past the first dummy. The free air that flew by him angered him a bit as he saw the first dummy almost taunting him. The one with no leg. He knew that this was going ot be the one he went after now but as for the time being, he needed to keep focus. There was still one dummy left. This one had scantly been touched except in th passing of one of the Fuuma. It bore a cut in its right arm and that was all. This third dummy hung lifeless and waiting for Maverick's Kunai to slice into it's clothe made flesh.

The sweet sound of something tearing under ones own power was always something that sent a cihll down most peoples spines and Maverick was no exception. He felt the resistance of the old clothe to his kunai's tearing into it but it wasn't much the old dummy could do. A large rip was cut into the 3rd dummy and Maverick went sailing past the rest of the way to the ground. He landed with a sliding momentum upon the water. He had reapplied his chakra moments before hitting the water's surface and slide to a perfect stop kicking up a small wave of water.
The water's surface hadn't even settled before the boy was off again. The target this time was the aquisition of his two Fuuma Shuriken which had begun their return veture. He plucked the two objects from the air after having placed his Kunai back into his bag that rested within his cloak. The Shuriken held firm to his hands as he dashed around the rock formation. He was trying to get a better vantege point and soon came out from the blind side of the dummies, the rocks, with a surprise...there was nothing there.
The water still made sounds as if someone was upon it but there was no one there. He had vanished from sight. But in reality, he was taking a slow walk up the side of the rock formation. By purpose, he was lossing rocks from the formation with the Shurikens so that they would make sounds as if someone was still walking around or dropping into the water. His actual feet moved quietly up to the top of the formation, above the dummies where he preped himself for a Sneak Attack. Placing the Shuriken back within his cloak, he withdrew the two kunai again and leapt down toward the hanging dummies, aiming for the back of the first dummy.

The attack went off without a hitch. He felt the Kunai's sharpened tip ripping into the back of the first dummy. He looked over out the corner of his eye to see the stuffing being reveiled a bit. He then continued on to the next target. However, due to his close proximity to the other dummy and the surface of the rock, he was able to keep his feet plastered to the rock face and began a dashing dive down the side of the rock face. His chakra ws moving beauitfully today as he performed all these movements. It was a bit tiring true but he didn't care. He moved down past the second dummy stabbign toward it's face.

[[12+4=16] pass]
The sound of chains rattling could be heard from the disturbance caused by Mavericks Kunai stabbing into the head of the dummy. He forced it in fairly far and ripped it out as he continued his decent down the side of the dummy. He continued his decent, seeing the third dummy extended far to far out for him to reach with his hands and decided the best he could do was leap or throw. A cautious person probably would have thrwn the kunai and continued their dash down the side of hte rock face to reamain safe but Maverick was far from normal. He knew the only true wayto gain anything was to take risks. Sometimes they paid off, sometimes they didn't. Either way he had to make a decision as he was coming up uon a point that would be the last step befor ehe wouldn't be able to make the jump anymore.
He jumped and slashed toward the dummy.

[[7+4 = 11 pass...barely]]
Nothing gained, nothing ventured..is that not the phrase? Well that's what Maverick felt and that's what he did. The risk didn't pay off as big as he had hoped but, considering in many combats even the smallest of advantages would add up to a major win, he took what he could get. The kunai caught the back of the dummies leg and ripped into it a good ways before Maverick was too far past it to continue. He freefell a good 20 or 30 feet in the air. It was at an angle so all he did was flip in mid air and land upon the surface of the water with a huge skid and wave being created. The sight of the water rising under his feet made him feel a little awkward...it was akin to pleasure or joy but he didn't pay it that much mind. He still had opponenets that were able to fight...ok, they were dummies he was ripping apart but still. The slide stopped as he came up to anotehr rock and placed his foot upon it to stop himself. The Sneak Attack had been a success and he was well on his way to finishing these foes. His current perdicament that ran through his mind was, after the innitial attack, if the oponent is not dead, what should one do next?
He didn't think upon it long, he just figured that since he was on his element, he might as well keep the momentum going and with that, he soon pushed off the rock and began another dash toward teh dummies from their right side this time and tossed one of the kunai he held at the first dummy.

The kunai sailed quikcly thorugh the air. It made a loud whistling sound as it moved, slicing he air with ease. Moving quietly as possible while running along the water (ok, oximoron), he moved within a rather odd pattern. He had figured what he'd do for his next attack and the solution to if the enemy is still alive after a sneak attack came to him. If possible, one goes back into hiding. He moved and leapt into the air releasing another kunai from his hand into the air at the first dummy again and soon, when he touche dthe water again, he disengaged his chakra and sank beneith the water on purpose.

The water was a second home to Maverick. He felt at home here and quickly swam through the depths of the water. It was all very peaceful and calm. He moved quickly to get a bit more depth into the water. He wanted to make absolutly sure that any potential enemies would have to fallow him down instead of just seeing him. Also, with most water jutsu simply taking from the top of the water, he'd be safe from a good deal of them. Of course, he couldn't last forever and so, applying chakra to his legs, he swam a bit faster. As he went deeper, he saw something come from above, it was a kunai, apparently one of the ones he threw missed. No matter...he simply picked it back up and began to prepare for the rising attack.

Having not seen the target again, he knew that it would be equally hard for them to see him under the water and so he began his attack. It was to be another sneak attack from below. He moed quickly back up to the surface moving as fast as possible and finally came from benieth the water, breaking the surface for a quick slash of his hand upward. He spotted the dummies at hte last moment and attacked performing another sneak attack!(DC: 10 agian)

The kunai came directly up from the depths of the water and sank directly inot the back thigh of the first dummy. Mavierick shot out of the water and landed on his feet upon the water, having reapplied his chakra. He wabbled a bit, he was running low on chakra and he knew it. His next couple of attack would have to take him closer to the shore so he didnd't fall into the water and die. Moving quickly again back, away from the three dummies, he decided one more attack was inorder. he slide to a stop causing another wave of water to splash about. As he slide, he felt his body ense in attencipation for what was coming next. Reaching into his cloak, he pulled forth the Ocean Fuuma Shuriken once more. The shuriken fit well in his hand and the sound of it opening pleased him. It was a stiff, grated sound but it spelt doom for those who felt its wrath. Spinning quickly to give more momentum, Maverick felt the moment perfect and let loose the Shuriken with the second hidden below it. He was abusing Shadow Shuriken but it only meant he was getting better with it.
